however, military action is not an option, for if the US took any military action in dprk, they would bombard seoul with everything they have, leading to a war with the north and china, a war that we would almost certainly lose. the only way is to wait for the dprk to collapse, a process that can be enhanced through economic and military sanctions made through the UN
i think you need brush up on your history when kim il-sung invaded south korea in 1950 harry truman jumped to the souths defense
north korea is a stronger ally to china than the us is, so the end of the dprk would strengthen our relationship with the chinese, which need to be a top priority
are you kidding? obviously the government doesnt care about the two as people, but it cares about the fact that a hostile state is holding US citizens as political prisoners
what the fuck does that even mean? bush cut off any kind of diplomatic relations with north korea, and really pissed them off, while clinton sent his sec of state to negotiate.
and we do have to worry about north korea, because if we pull any shit, they will attack south korea and we'll be pulled into another korean war
tell them that if the prisoners are not released immediately, north korea will be put back on the list of state sponsors of terror, followed by nuclear development in japan
its important for the us to build up relations with china to help solve the north korean problem-the north koreans are relatively afraid of the chinese, and we could use them as a median to force sanctions on north korea
if you read what i said, i said war is not an option. im done with this

i think you need to brush up on your history. when kim il-sung invaded the south in 1950 (not the 60s) harry truman jumped to the souths defense
north korea has stronger ties to china than we do, so it is in our interest economically to see the end of the dprk
