Heaven forbid a government-funded public institution be open and accepting of everyone and their differences!

It's so sad that people are still "attacked" because of their open-mindedness. Fifteen years from now, we'll look back and be completely bewildered that there ever was a time when we were allowed to shamelessly discriminate against a group of citizens.

Local press coverage bears you out on that. Some parents at the school ( 3 exactly , as it turns out) have been influenced by an outside group, Illinois Family Institute, that styles itself as faith-based, pro-family, state-wide activists.
