r6s are normally quicker because theyre lighter thats probably why they used that instead of a r1

pretty sure the R1's displacement well and truly makes up for the 24pound difference between the two bikes. When the R6 runs out of puff at 150mph, the R1 just keeps going and going well up to 170mph

hey dumbass, I know its a drag race, I was talking about acceleration. Everyone know the R1 has more top end than the R6, but accel wise, the R6 is about half a second quicker 0-60. Plus its lighter and doesn't have as much HP so its gonna be a little easier to keep it on both tires full throttle.

On an even start it looked to me that they were dead even. Plus try that with an R1 and see what happens. Or even try heads up from a dead start. Not that there arent Supras out there that cant beat an R6 because this one probally can and would but I'm saying its dumb to compare the two. All you have to do is look at the quartermile numbers. most 1000s run very low 10s stock. A new busa will run into the 9s. Some minot tweaks will put it into the 8s. For any streetable car to beat that is incredible.

Actually he's right, litre bikes(1000cc's) run low 10 second quarter miles with a GOOD driver, hayabusa's and the kawi zx14 both run high 9's. With about a grand of upgrades and a profesional driver you could run low nines or high eights. Opinions are like assholes everyone has one.

You need to search you tube there are a couple of video on here of Supra beating Busa's. There is even a video of a supra runnig a turbo bike(Busa I think). I'll put it like this if a supra can beat a twin turbo viper unless you have a drag bike its good chance it will at the least keep up with a 1000.
