The first theme that was playing kinda bored me.... but then.. OMG.. they really improved... WOW yeah... and then it slowed down a bit again... but.. yeah it is very improved.. i still enjoy music in some other games i have played more, but this is a very big improvement that i greatly enjoy more...love the ones that have a beat and some drums and brass sections.. @noweretogo The night elf song and the Tanaris bgm (the parts with the female voice) are one of the best tracks in cataclysm. WOW really lacked some good, slow, memorable ("Lament of the highborne" came close to that but it was only one track) evocative tracks to kick in the atmosphere a bit!

That sounds so awesome, especially the first track. I can't understand why players would turn off the music when its so wonderfully done and atmospheric. Well...having said that I admit the music in Dalaran is like rape for the ears (especially when those fuckers from the argent tournament turn up with thier horns) and that's where we hang out for the most part right now so I guess I CAN understand it on some level. Still, I pay £9 a month for this and I like to try and enjoy as much as I can.

Blizzard really sets the mood with their music, back in pre BC every song to me was perfect it just made the setting like the creepy mysterious music in silverpine, great for the area. Yet even after Bc and Wotlk brought some epic music to the game. To me the grizzly hills music is one of the best songs in the game, its very calming. This new tanaris song is great though I still love the old one.

you get the "new" feeling for sure with these bits. 5:25-6:50ish was especially special to me. Great share. Though I find myself still missing the old harsh bits Tanaris and silithus shared. Gave an eerie setting justified by the situations with the silithid. Change though does come and this certainly isn't bad. Overall these bits kinda symbolize blizzards direction with the game. As someone already said, it sort of tells a story. Something, about that camera shot at 5:55 during that bit..

The opening is NOT how the entrance to Tanaris should be. Tanaris is still a desert like it always has been, and that opening sounds like the theme to a Hawaiian vacation, not a venture into an all-but-forsaken desert! The old droning theme of Tanaris.... You know the one, the one that plays when you're all alone in those desert wastes... the one that sounds like it should be played to on-setting desert insanity. THAT was fitting. But it wasn't epic. And everything MUST be epic now! So it's gone

The begginning of the piece reminds me of Thomas Newman, the composer who wrote The American Beauty Soundtrack. You might be familiar with the piece 'Dead Again', which has a similar tone.

I'm really pleased Blizzard have implemented this piece. Somehow, I don't think 5:30 fits within this area. I would have used it at the penultimate part of a raid, but its not my game. I really can't wait to be flying over this decimated land in a few months time :D
