  • It's fast, but maybe I could learn it....With patience...lots of it.

  • He is like a playing machine. Perfect

  • whats the tuning for this anybody know

  • @Sleyt707 Open C# minor. Also, sorry to be pedantic, it is not a song as there is no singing or lyrics.

  • classical pulloffs now thats the SHIT

  • great real music

  • Maestro Desiderio, With your play you set the guitar alive! Listening makes me completely breathless. It`s magic.

  • this would sound bad ass on electric guitar

  • I don't even need to touch my wife anymore...90 seconds into this...and she squirts :)

  • @alyeahal Hahahahahaha!!!

  • Is he doing a tremolo or is he just using his thumb and middle finger to pick?

  • @shapurII Thumb and middle finger with pulloffs. The technique itself is not too entirely difficult. It's the nuance of the overall piece that's so difficult. When I play it I sound like a bull in a china shop.

  • whats the name of this song???

  • what is the name of this song? i must learn how to play this. i ask guitar teacher to teach me it

  • Is it me or did I hear clapping from his guitar at 2:10? In any event , it certainly was deserved. Bravo Maestro!

  • sounds like many heavy metal bands have stolen from this. lol xD

  • this is fucking fantastic

  • @Miperrodrago jajaja, tu filosofia es una mierda...

  • Epic.

  • no words in the dictionary can describe this video. its too... impeccable? even this is a under statement

  • Hi

I have the Andres D. Marvi guitar from Aniello Desiderio. Which He use to perform and record. If you are interested in this instrument pleas contact me

  • Chitarrista straordinario!

  • sounds like open E tuning

  • @druss56 Scordatura, C# minor. E to C#, A to G#, D to C#, G up to G#, B up to C#, E stays E. The sheet music is written in two ways: One relevant to where the actual notes ACTUALLY fall given the new tuning, and one written as if nothing has changed. It's hard to wrap your head around.

  • wouaw

  • What is the name of this piece?

  • Koyunbaba (4th movement) by Carlo Domeniconi

  • @langtingtang so thats the name of this song?

  • Greats.....!!!!!!!

  • This is one of the most inspirational performances I've ever heard!

  • Is he tuned to C#

  • this has an open tuning if i recall correctly, all of the strings are changed

  • This man is a great guitarist , but he ignores the sheet score at a certain moment and connaisseurs know which place I am refering to ( the harmonics ) .

Furthermore I hear an unhearable metronome .

Check out Antigoni Goni's version on Naxos .

She is the winner of the GFA competition of 1995 and gives this piece a soulfull (non midi file ) interpretation .

  • I find his interpretation of that part(harmonics) better then written one.

  • Best interpretation ever of this piece.

  • That's it! I quit. no not really; but i obviously have a long ways to go. And I'll be sure to enjoi every step =]

  • His playing is just unbelievable!

  • he gives hope to all us fat people with short stubby fingers :)

  • Both he and Segovia. Perhaps it is related to strength and thus control, cause the control is phenomenal.

  • His fingers are relativly short but in reality they aren't cause his hands are huge. They're so huge that he plays on a 66-neck instead of a 65.

  • @anthony0803 I know i'm replying to a 2 year old comment, but I saw closely aniello's hand...he does have big fingers, but not short at all! He's got huge hands :P

  • @anthony0803 hahaha!!! That's what is really amazing: how can such fingers bring out such fantastic sounds??? The same phenomenon with Segovia :)

  • absolutely orgasmic!!

    lol

but yeah that guy is amazing

  • excelente, fantástico, felicitaciones

  • it's a great guitarist, no doubt.

I also like very much this piece

  • To everyone who seems to be wondering about the choice of repertoire here, if you look at the other videos from this series, you may notice a pattern: First, Scarlatti. Then Cimarosa. Then, Giuliani and Carulli. Then Paganini. Later on, Domeniconi. They're all Italian composers, played in approximate chronological order by an Italian guitarist. So I'm sure he has an extensive repertoire of other music, but this program clearly demonstrates a brief history of Italian music, through guitar.

  • Sure, Koyunbaba isn't the most theoretically pleasing piece for those who love very defined structure. It's also not hard to play, I agree. But it's a neat piece to hear. Every piece in the world doesn't have to be a masterpiece of counterpoint. Just because works aren't bach or aren't supremely difficult doesn't make them without value. This piece generates a introspective mood that is really neat. Enjoy it for that.

  • And what is music all about, Klausen?

I think music is about all emotions in life.

Sometimes a beautifull melody in perfect harmony to represent a moment of happyness. And sometimes chaotic and confusing pieces where nothing seems to make sense anymore, to represent darker more insecure times in life.

  • Grtmusic69,

The fact that you where surprised how bad this is suggests you didn't no this piece yet.

So then I ask what kind off classical gitarist are you?

You say people don't know their classics, but any good classical guitarist, would also know the famous modern pieces for guitar.

Anyway this is only the finale of a 15 min piece by carlo domeniconi called koyunbaba, maybe should listen to the whole piece.

I think Li Jie has a full version on youtube.

  • i think that a lot of people hate giuliani and pieces like koyunbaba because they aren't able to play them!

  • bwv1, judging by your reasonable & eclectic page, you must be a YouTube baiter of argument.

Was there anything you really DID like in these ten pieces of Aniello Desiderio? or is it a reason more personal? Grow up.

  • I DO like his playing. I also DO like some of the music he plays, e.g. Scarlatti. The rest is mostly junk, and you'll find many musicians who think so. I know many people who agree for instance that Konyunbaba is basically a series of cheap tricks. (And please don't jump to conclusions based on the arbitrary snippests on 'my' Youtube page.)

  • At last there are videos on youtube of him playing the guitar!!! Thank you so much Oxy151268! I love this man, he`s in my opinion already one of the greatest guitar players in the world. He`s in another world, when he`s playing.I can tell, because I`ve already been in some of his concerts and in a masterclass. He`s the greatest...

By the way, the channel is a german (bavarian) channel and is called "Bayern alpha" ;-)

  • Mama mia. This is enormous. Check out the interpretation by Li Jie, and then compare this one. Just to feel the difference.

  • I already know Li Jie,but i think she is not much determined...

according to me you need very much strong to play koyunbaba very well

  • Pazzesco.

  • The "foreign" channel is from Germany! My homecountry ;)

  • i think it is "universal pictures"

  • splendida la musica e l'esecuzione!!!

  • I think this is the craziest classical guitar piece I've ever heard!!!

  • Best interpretation ever of this piece.

  • sei un dio!!!
