@quangluu96 :D 3.57 Million ? what is that ? how you get to this number ? there is actually no real limitation it just depends on how much your computer can handle, i already saw renderings with more than 100 Million particles, its quite time consuming to render and cache but it is possible
Hi could you please tell me how you created the effect of the texture being "revealed" at 0:14 ? or some term i can google to get to some tutorials just to get startet? Thanks in advance!
@Capeau Of course you can put billions after billions of particles if you're rendering offline - but you get plenty in realtime too, sufficient for most effects. And you can have a tad smoother shadows in offline rendering :)
good GOD, I WANT TO USE THESE IN MY GAME (and yes i really want to make 1) is this all done by 3ds max and nothing but? or is there extra programs in need for this effect? Beautiful video, if i get a green light to make my game, i may give you a call.
@MatthiasmVideos awesome, cheers for that info...but i'd still hire you and other people who know what their doing in the field, i would just be the designer/director.
@iSOBigD but i see it often used in Cutscenes of say "Dantes Inferno" and as proven by Hideo Kojima, Cutscenes and Gameplay can merge into 1, besides i have a Theory on how to make Engines run at a better rate.
@innerguardianXIII Well, good luck with that, but for now, even a triple SLI setup and a physx card, you can't have millions of interactive particles in real-time without chaching first.
@iSOBigD isn't there some way of doing a Caching Layer over the real time graphic before play? i will be honest, i don't know much about computers and what you need to make such and such work, i just find programs and plan to mix them together to make the most immersive experience i can, into new worlds and more, shame big companies can't all merge into 1 so we CAN put programs together for the peoples enjoyment.
@innerguardianXIII If you don't know much about computers you really should take a few years and learn the many, many things involved in making a video game. It involves many fields of work and when people just go, "hey, wouldn't it be cool if..." they're just wasting their time since they know nothing about making games and the limitations involved. Look up concept drawing, low and high poly 3D modeling, animation, UV mapping, texturing, shaders, lighting, level design, scripting, programming..
@iSOBigD well i'm more for designing the world of that game i want to make and it's inhabitants within, besides, even NVidia are confident in their programs, i saw on facial rendering and skins textures video, they're damn good, plus i'm more for realism hence why i wanted these programs to be used if it were possible, if Nvidia and CryEngine 3 could attain realism and in realtime and along with 1 or 2 theories and techniques i have seen and want to try,
@iSOBigD so it's not me who would be using these programs, i like to find the best i can to give people the best game i can, plus there is no such thing as a waste of time when you're trying to build something mate, it's time and effort that is required to make something great, you can't rush things, plus instead of knowing the limits and staying away from them, why not know them and work round them?, there must be some way of mixing programs otherwise there's no point in attempting realism.
@innerguardianXIII Everyone uses multiple programs when creating graphics bro...We can make realistic graphics right now and we have for many years, just not in real-time.
You can't get proper raytracing and many light bounces in a complex scene in real-time, for example, that's why game lighting doesn't look as good as in movies. You need to cut many corners and fake light bouncing, ambient occlusion, global illumination, caustics, etc.

Of course every professional aims to create the best possible graphics For The Hardware. People would love to have PC-level graphics on their phones, it's just not possible right now, so they use much lower poly models, lower res textures, less lights and shadows, etc. Everything is built around the platform's limitations.
@innerguardianXIII I like the idea, but I'm just thinking the render times of this sort of thing would destroy the game completely, I've tried the same thing myself.
@jackcrazeanim hm, i have been told by another CGI artist the differences of the 2 formats, it's a shame really, so much Beauty that could be done if the codes were blurred, also i saw a bit of your wok on your Channel, very nice :)
@TheFretgod i wonder about your way of thinking, do you think all the guys out there working with 3ds max and krakatoa are rich ? :D would be awesome but i really doubt that.
