  • stupid song... it scared me

  • Every time I watch this kinds of videos they make me wanna get a job just to buy like the most powerful computer ever just to make it

  • Thumbs Up, if you remember this song from Juiced 2...!

  • @97thesmurph wasnt it a need for speed game?

  • @97thesmurph from the first Juiced*

  • FFS I HAVE HEADPHONES ON

  • iMac!

  • MUTE!

  • great job !

  • Could you make it as an screensaver?

  • I love that song so much! Mate the video is perfect

  • Too bad they dont have this as backgrounds, or i'd set mine as this

  • they need to make that for ps3 backgrounds :D

  • O_o

  • i saw it all on mute...

  • @MyQwerqwerqwerqwerqw Bad choice. This music is awesome.

  • System specs and render time please?

  • You just summoned bahamut sin :P

  • Song?

  • thats beautifullllll

  • That was insane. I love it.

  • music fucking scared the shit out of me

  • thats sweet. makes me wish cinema 4d could do this :(

  • @ChrisCDXX It can.

  • Amazing! Good job! I haven't seen stuff this good in a while!

  • 6 people can't do it.

  • Everything about this clip is epic, the music, the colors, the particle effects.

From 0:18 onwards, how did you get them to clump into partial solids?

  • omfg, marry me XD

  • You need to find a better way of encoding, tons of pixels.

  • So yeah, make a test film. Have someone get shot with a shotgun, and have this particle explode out of their stomach!

  • Attack of the nanomites

  • 4 dislikes???????... Some people are just jealous...Its amazinggggggggggggggggg... love it

  • Question: Render time ? :D

  • What does Render mean lol?

  • I have seen many good particular intro's but this takes the biscuit.

Awesome stuff way beyond the rest.

  • what's your CPU? xD

  • Your A GOD!!!!

  • EPIC

  • it looks like an armoured bird lol

  • holy shit do you have like a super computer

  • @jeehoondevil i believe its kracatoa, doesnt require to much.

  • Render Time : 1 life :))

  • @cristianfrunza enough with these render comments, it probably took no more than 30 mins because its particals not geometrey

  • how did you do it?

  • dude.. teach me! :p

  • How do you make those beautiful gradient backgrounds? They don't seem to look like many basic gradients I've seen :S Breathtaking particles, too :D

  • hm interesting... it is hard to make this ?

  • did u use magmaflow for this coloration?

  • 1 person watched this video upside-down and hit the wrong thumb button.

  • @DemiousStudios nah, one person is too damn jealous.

  • wow!

  • this reminds me of crysis for some reason

  • Youtube. com / AAEFreeProject --- The best projects Adobe after effects

  • i bet you cant count all those particles! i can!! 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000.......ran out of characters....

  • @MaxAmaSity Actually my guess is that he used around 4-5 million.

  • @3DanielW then multiplay that by 9999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999. im stil counting. lol

  • @3DanielW hum? i think krakatoa max is 3.57 mill particles, im not sure though.

  • @quangluu96 :D 3.57 Million ? what is that ? how you get to this number ? there is actually no real limitation it just depends on how much your computer can handle, i already saw renderings with more than 100 Million particles, its quite time consuming to render and cache but it is possible

  • nice, reminds me of aluminum powder.

  • wow i can se TRON legacy!!!

  • Boy your AMAZING !!! Do you make also tutorials?

  • play snake on this and try not to touch the particles. >.<

  • thats pre awesome!

  • man.. thats soo cool.. :D sweet.

  • woww!! can you download it as a screensaver? i want this to be my screensaver. I'm still in awe of every detail , so magnificent..

  • Any tutorial to know, how you do that? :O

  • Beautiful!

  • this is sexy!!!!!!

  • you are best!~

  • would be a good background.

  • to make the particles appear abrubtly in groups did you use animated opacity maps?

  • @ZiggyFX yes thats how i did it :)

  • @MatthiasmVideos thanks :D

  • @MatthiasmVideos

are you talking about density values in krakatoa, or is this something in PFlow you are using?

  • Hi could you please tell me how you created the effect of the texture being "revealed" at 0:14 ? or some term i can google to get to some tutorials just to get startet? Thanks in advance!

  • @Capeau Of course you can put billions after billions of particles if you're rendering offline - but you get plenty in realtime too, sufficient for most effects. And you can have a tad smoother shadows in offline rendering :)

  • These look like tests. Will u ever make a full amazing looking CGI animation

  • gorgeous

  • PLEASE give a tutorial on the effects used at the 0:16 particle system its just GODLIKE!

  • what did you use for rendering?

  • how long did it take to render?

  • this is amazing.

  • Can I use your work in my intro for movie, please? (sure you will be mentioned in titles)... Your videos are awesome. :)

  • can u give me rights to use this as my intro? ill give u credit

  • i noticed you said you use krakatoa and 3ds max, do u use krakatoa just for rendering or for particle manipulation aswell?

  • good GOD, I WANT TO USE THESE IN MY GAME (and yes i really want to make 1) is this all done by 3ds max and nothing but? or is there extra programs in need for this effect? Beautiful video, if i get a green light to make my game, i may give you a call.

  • @innerguardianXIII 3ds max + a plugin called Krakatoa

  • @MatthiasmVideos awesome, cheers for that info...but i'd still hire you and other people who know what their doing in the field, i would just be the designer/director.

  • @MatthiasmVideos is krakatoa free

  • @MatthiasmVideos i know ths is not your genera but can you edit my teams Gaming Videos When You have Completed 5 ill pay you 25$

  • @innerguardianXIII

good luck on doing this realtime though ;)

  • @Capeau i'm sure some day they'd get it.

  • @Capeau, @innerguardianXIII, ever heard of a group called "Fairlight"? :)

  • @msqrt

off course, ever heared of quality difference between high end off line rendering and realtime rendering?

  • @innerguardianXIII You can't use these in a real-time game.

  • @iSOBigD but i see it often used in Cutscenes of say "Dantes Inferno" and as proven by Hideo Kojima, Cutscenes and Gameplay can merge into 1, besides i have a Theory on how to make Engines run at a better rate.

  • @innerguardianXIII Well, good luck with that, but for now, even a triple SLI setup and a physx card, you can't have millions of interactive particles in real-time without chaching first.

  • @iSOBigD isn't there some way of doing a Caching Layer over the real time graphic before play? i will be honest, i don't know much about computers and what you need to make such and such work, i just find programs and plan to mix them together to make the most immersive experience i can, into new worlds and more, shame big companies can't all merge into 1 so we CAN put programs together for the peoples enjoyment.

  • @innerguardianXIII If you don't know much about computers you really should take a few years and learn the many, many things involved in making a video game. It involves many fields of work and when people just go, "hey, wouldn't it be cool if..." they're just wasting their time since they know nothing about making games and the limitations involved. Look up concept drawing, low and high poly 3D modeling, animation, UV mapping, texturing, shaders, lighting, level design, scripting, programming..

  • @iSOBigD well i'm more for designing the world of that game i want to make and it's inhabitants within, besides, even NVidia are confident in their programs, i saw on facial rendering and skins textures video, they're damn good, plus i'm more for realism hence why i wanted these programs to be used if it were possible, if Nvidia and CryEngine 3 could attain realism and in realtime and along with 1 or 2 theories and techniques i have seen and want to try,

  • @iSOBigD so it's not me who would be using these programs, i like to find the best i can to give people the best game i can, plus there is no such thing as a waste of time when you're trying to build something mate, it's time and effort that is required to make something great, you can't rush things, plus instead of knowing the limits and staying away from them, why not know them and work round them?, there must be some way of mixing programs otherwise there's no point in attempting realism.

  • @innerguardianXIII Everyone uses multiple programs when creating graphics bro...We can make realistic graphics right now and we have for many years, just not in real-time.

You can't get proper raytracing and many light bounces in a complex scene in real-time, for example, that's why game lighting doesn't look as good as in movies. You need to cut many corners and fake light bouncing, ambient occlusion, global illumination, caustics, etc.

  • @innerguardianXIII The reason we don't have realistic graphics in games is not because people never tried it lol, it's because the hardware doesn't allow it in real-time. Of course every professional aims to create the best possible graphics For The Hardware. People would love to have PC-level graphics on their phones, it's just not possible right now, so they use much lower poly models, lower res textures, less lights and shadows, etc. Everything is built around the platform's limitations.

  • @iSOBigD that's where my Theories come in, i would love to have people test these with me but it seems people just don't give chances anymore.

  • @innerguardianXIII I like the idea, but I'm just thinking the render times of this sort of thing would destroy the game completely, I've tried the same thing myself.

  • @jackcrazeanim hm, i have been told by another CGI artist the differences of the 2 formats, it's a shame really, so much Beauty that could be done if the codes were blurred, also i saw a bit of your wok on your Channel, very nice :)

  • you must be rich... i'm an active student in 3ds max and would love to get my hands on krakatoa... so expensive though...

  • @TheFretgod :D i am defenetly not rich

  • @MatthiasmVideos did you acquire a "special discount"?

  • @TheFretgod i wonder about your way of thinking, do you think all the guys out there working with 3ds max and krakatoa are rich ? :D would be awesome but i really doubt that.

  • @MatthiasmVideos by "rich" i mean be able to afford that license. it's just so expensive...

  • @MatthiasmVideos pirate bay xD xD chk my videos btw i am gonna upload my try at krakatoa xD please please i am your fan ,i am also teaching it to myself ,i can model anything ,just working with particles and effects ,can help me out when i am in trouble with particles

  • @MatthiasmVideos Hopefully Krakatoa will make you rich right ;)

  • @TheFretgod

    *whispers* torrents

  • @TheFretgod

    yarr...#cough-cough#

  • @darthmocap ha ha I got that one! very funny :)

  • man, how do you manipulate the particles to shine themselves?!?, it's really reall awesome!!

  • omg

  • amazing I havevnt seen such a interesting particles

  • beautiful!

  • you should make some tutorials :)

  • this is just sick! :D

  • cool

  • sorry for askin a whole bunch of questions but is there a way to add a depth map to the rendering so that i can use after effects depth of field?

  • simply amazing, did you use any other plugins than krakatoa?

  • @obs301 fumefx and bercon procedural maps, bercon maps are free just google for it

  • @MatthiasmVideos i downloaded the maps, and i have produced similar particles. The thing im trying to work out now is the glowing and such from the materials. I dont suppose u have a quick tip, or a link to somthing helpful?

  • bricks have been shat, to reference the popular meme.

and that last one was a personal favorite.

although, i would have liked to have seen them last a bit longer.

  • awesome.!! =D

  • sorry I'm Italian. What does "Krakatoa taought myself? not understand.'ve also used after effects?

  • hello congratulations! where did you learn? what program you used? answer please!!

  • @daner1986 3ds max / krakatoa taought myself

  • @daner1986 just answered your questions, the tools i used are 3ds max and Krakatoa to answer your question: where did you learn, i answered that i taught myself

  • How are you getting the bloom effect with the krakatoa renderer? Is that a post process? Did you do any compositing in these shots?

  • @blarghle ye post production done in After Effects

  • How are you getting the bloom effect with the krakatoa renderer? Is that a post process? Did you do any compositing in these shots?

  • render time dude <3 ?

  • This is really impressive. You should make a tutorial though.

  • TUTORIAL? PLZ?!

  • @ MatthiasmVideos

    pflow :D?

  • Fantastic work!!! Hope we all will see tutorial one day:)

  • Brilliant. Your skills in particle animation is AMAZING! Please teach me how to do this stuff! There is free software called TeamViewer, and it allows you to view or control another person's computer, and if you could give me a tour of how some of this works, even while you're making another particle test, that would be great! I don't have krakatoa, but that's not a problem, as I still want to learn how to use pflow better. I've done some basic stuff, but it never turns out very well. PM ME!

  • excelent

    but

    mental ? vray ?

  • neither nor but Krakatoa ! what a rhyme :D

  • @pablitou033 Krakatoa

  • that is awsome dude, is there anyway u can put download links or send me some of these so i can use in my videos?

  • comn man.. how can you ask that.

  • Excellence!

  • really nice :D

  • nice particle fx again!
