There is an EA I found which is great with this- it is called "close all on time" it will close all trades at a time specified by you, so, all you do is enter when the setup says so, &, 30 mins later, it closes it for you.

Different traders shine in different asset classes.

FX is terrible on retail level, especially if you trade with bucket shops. What's bad about FX is that you don't know how much you'll be charged. With rollovers, you pay spread more than once.

Better way to trade FX is through futures. 6E, 6C, etc. You know exactly how much your commission will be.

I trade stocks, but consider FX action very important confirmation/rejection at times for larger trades.

@OilTradingAcademy The oil/crude market moves exactly the same as forex... Anytime you have a liquid market, there's opportunity to make money. Making such a sweeping statement does nothing to build credibility.

Hi Alexander,

First thanks for the great EA, it does produce a profit although I never dared place it on a live acct. after a few scares I got with other EAs which put me off.

Now, the slingshot is interesting as a price-driven strategy BUT you mention only once (in passing) that the entry bar has to break the LOW of the setup bar (for a long entry). This is KEY and I think you should have emphasized it a lot more. Thanks for the strategy, I'll try it out.

Martin i am confused by a few issues:

This video mentions four currency pairs that can be traded and also recommends the 30 minute bar chart/yet in the pdf manual/ it is mentioned to use the i hr chart Eur/USD only. I tried to use the robot on the four suggested pairs yet i received a warning on the robot that only the EUR?USD was allowed with the Robot. Please explain. Does the robot need to be upgraded to a new version? Thanks so much for a great program- i can't wait to try it out

some questions:

by how many pips must the high/low be broken by, to be a valid break ? do you look at the 1 min tf to confirm this break, as it will be difficult to see on 30 min.

when entering trade, do you enter a set number of pips after the close of previous candle has passed ? i.e. is there a buffer ?

do you take spreads into account when entering a TRADE AND WHEN SETTING TP AND SL ?

are you making profit every week with this ?

also, i have noticed, in a trending market these setups will never occur because the markert will not reverse back to closing price.

also, what do you do if the STOP LOSS IS TOO CLOSE TO THE ENTRY PRICE ? WHAT DO YOU DO THEN ?

Today I also used your Forex Auto Scalper EA on my fxpro demo account. ALL trades were profitable (besides one, but there was a disconnection for half an hour and I didn't notice that, so I closed it)!
