this is complete bullcrap...the videos where chuck sucking lebron off and bashing kobe thru the playoffs with egg running down his face is copyright infringement, but this pathetic attempt to save face is left up?
@lalakersfan88 that whole 2001 playoff run leading up to the finals, Kobe was a scoring machine. But check out his all-around production in the 2008 Utah series. That shit is ridiculously underappreciated. I can't believe more people don't talk about it. He had two games where he was shooting at least 60% from the field and 4 games where he shot 50% or better for crying out loud...
"Ernie you see that shot there" hahahaha just love Charles then the next year after the Lakers get swept "i Been waiting for this for a long long time Mr. Jackson" -somewhere in those lines- HAHAHAHAHA oh how fast NBA seasons go
@nyknick4life That was Joe speaking on the rule changes (note: "it benefits me").
"You can't even touch a guy now. The college game is much more physical than our game. I always tease Michael [Jordan], if he played today, he'd average 50."
-- Larry Brown; coached the 04 Pistons defense
"Just the no hand-checking rule alone brought so much speed and penetration and cutting back into the game. Before, if a guy tried to go through the lane, it was — bam! — you stop him."
@nyknick4life "With the rule and interpretation [changes], it has become [more difficult] for defenders to defend [penetration], cover the entire floor on defensive rotations and [recover] to shooters. This has provided [more] time for [shooters] to ready themselves for [quality] shots."
--Stu Jackson, VP of NBA Operations
Fact is, during Jordan's era it was MUCH more difficult for perimeter players to score as much as today's perimeter players.
@gmn545 Its been a perimeter player game since the intro of the 3pointer. The only reason hand checking went out the window all together was because of guys built like artest and LBJ came in the league. Back in the 70's guys were twigs. Nowadays players could bench press them. Hand checking was really changed in the early 80's to where a player can put a hand on somebody but cant impede their progress or movement. So the truth is in the 70's and earlier defense was more physical.
@whitefang6969 "Since the league introduced the 3-point shot in the 1980 season, only [64] teams have allowed [fewer] than [101 points] per 100 possessions, but [48] of those 64 teams played between [1993-04], when [hand-checking] was more or less [legal]."
-- NY Times: "Off The Dribble: Classic Clash: Laker Offense vs Celtic Defense"; by Zach Lowe, June 3, 2010
@whitefang6969 B/c my point was handchecking effected the scoring of teams "since the intro of the 3pointer". Also, "The [rules changes] did what they were [supposed] to do -- [open up] the game. Scoring average has [increased] from an average [93.2] points per game in the 1998 season to this year's [100 per game]. [Overall FG%] has [increased] from [43%] in 1997-98 to [47.9%] this season. [3-point %] has [gone up] from [.326] 11 years ago to [.367] this season." - David Aldridge, Apr 23, 2009
@The8310353 You're joking right? Look at his stats prior to '01 (when the rule book stated "No contact with either hands or forearms by defenders except in the frontcourt below the free throw line extended in which case the defender may use his forearm only"). In 2000, only 14.5% of the teams points were scored by Kobe in the Finals. 2001, it jumps to 24.4%! '00 Kobe (Finals) - 15.6ppg (36.7% FG) 4.2apg, 4.6rebs; '01 Kobe - 24.6ppg (41.5% FG), 5.8apg, 7.8rebs. You call that "didnt change?"
@gmn545 this why u dnt just read stats dumbass kobe was hurt in 00 finals he missed a game and left another game in the 1st quarter so his averages were misleading just know that the most important game of that series shaq fouled out and kobe dominated overtime
@thug8200 Because he continued to play on it, which was his choice. When he came back, he played 37 minutes. He even had a monster dunk going at Rik Smits in game 5 and Doug Collins said, "it looks like his ankles feeling a lot better." Fact: it was a sprain, NOT broken.
@thug8200 He missed game 3, dipshit. Game 4 he dropped 28 points, game 5 he played 37 minutes (8 points, 4-20 FG. And fact remains, it was a sprain NOT broken.
"Too much team defense, too much switching, too much pressing, too much half-court trapping, too much double-teaming. Too much, in short, of what most people call "zone." Bite your tongue. The NBA rule book does not acknowledge the word zone. In its stead is something called "illegal defense."
from SI back in October of 85.
Tracy McGrady: It’s tough on all of us, it really is. When you’re tryin’ to make a move, and you got another guy sittin’ right there on the same side just waiting.
@nyknick4life "It benefits me. It definitely changes the game because it gives every guy that extra step. If we could hand check now, the game would be totally different. If they couldn't hand check back in the day, there are some guys that would have been even better than they were. It would have been nuts for some of the big-time scorers and perimeter players from the 1980s and 1990s. Can you imagine what [Michael] Jordan would have done in a league where you couldn't hand check?"--Joe Johnson
the argument of..."well this player wouldnt of won if he didnt have this player" is soooo old.over used, and meaningless......it shouldnt be brought up. I dont care what player or sport you talk about lol
how can any1 argue over this video this was by far kobe best performance in a series you got 3 nba hall of famers alll playing in the Jordan era and all agreeing that only one other person in the world could do what kobe did that night n that was MJ lebron james or anyone else wasnt mention so shut up dont even mention Lebron or anyone else for that matter and tryin to compare them to kobe cause they dont have NBA records or rings like Kobe does, so shut up enjoy the video and witness greatness
no shaq deserved those finals mvps becuz he was a beast in the paint and the post; hes not regaurded as one of the nba's greatest big men for no reason,,, i love kobe but shaq was the leader the captain and the number one option kobe was co-captain the second option and the second star of the lakers at the time
@ijusttellthetruth1 Yes second best at that time but the transition had begun and shaq was slowing down while Kobe was taking over that 1 spot. Sucks they didn't stay together 7 rings 8? Who knows???
OK i wanna say one thing ok, Magic got worthy and kareem, jordan and pippen, karl and john, and bird, mchale, parish, and dj (dennis Johnson), and kobe and shaq now kobe and pau, even dirk and jason kidd everyone has a side kick even a holy crew dont so everyone needs help ok so dont be liek kobe needs shaq or pau blah blah blah everyone needs someone its a team sport
SHAQ SAID THAT... "He has evolved as the greatest player in Lakers history, surpassing Magic Johnson and Jerry West. Especially if he wins this championship, you know, he probably will go down as the greatest Laker ever."
"He has evolved as the greatest player in Lakers history, surpassing Magic Johnson and Jerry West. Especially if he wins this championship, you know, he probably will go down as the greatest Laker ever."
OK. I'll settle it. Noones ever won a title without teamates. Jordan nor kobe ever went 1 on 5. Without MBenga KObe might not of won. Little things win rings. PLAYERS AREN'T JUDGED BY RINGS, JUDGED BY DOMINANCE,STATS, AND OVERALL CLUTCH PERFORMANCES. Just because we all have as much or more rings than LeBron does that mean we are better ? Hell no.
kid me wrong but pippen actually made it further without jordan than jordan without pippen.. at least pip got close to the finals.. jordan didnt even reach the playoffs
How did shaq win rings for kobe, the only year was 2000. 1 ring, that's it. 2001 kobe was proclaimed by shaq as the BEST. Stats don't lie, the year kobe and shaq averaged 28 pts, shaq led in blks & rebs. And kobe led in stls & assist. Kobe was the best player in 2001. Look at the stats my friends. Kobe deserved those rings.
reggie said it he is just as good as mj get it in your brains he is that good and is goin to continue to be this good until he hangs um up because he just works harder then everyone else what physical abilities he dont compared to mj he makes up for it in skill determination and will and is a student of this game even phil finally admitted it only mj have over kobe is physical ability and that is God given
@commierocket i know!! hate when people say shaq won the titles for kobe! sssssssssh!!! did they even see those finals!!! cuz i did shaq needed kobe just as much as kobe needed shaq!!! to many haters out there! when kobe retires... i can just see all the hypocrcy!!! did i spell that right???i hated mj cuz he was so great... so i can relate... but when he did retire, i knew the greatest was hangingf it up!!
HawkHunter07 megatroll Blackadam08 <---- these three fags love kobes dick deep down inside(literally) and always go around youtube videos of kobe bryant just to speak down on him and talk about how great MJ is, like honestly who the fuck cares, if u wanna talk to people who actually care about MJ and what he did go to the chicago section of youtube, cuz us LA fans dont GIVE A FUCK!!! We have our heroes the original "MJ" (magic johnson) Kobe , Kareem, and west.. FUCK THE BULLS!! LAKERS FTW!
I'm tired of listening to these guys. They kiss whoever's ass is playing well on the playoffs. Whoever plays for a championship team and is the no.1 option all the sudden, he's the best player on the planet. I know for a fact Kobe is the best. It's not even close, LeBron proved that.
@whattaphuck one question...how do you know that Kobe would not adjust in that era and accomplish greater things just because he had more need to do it...?
damn kobes so good. people hate him because he is a winner. and yall haters can keep on hatin because at the end of the day, hes still the greatest basketball player today and the closest to the GOAT MJ
TRUE SIGN OF MJ HOMER SHIP! ONE DAY TOP TEN THE NEXT DAY KOBE TOP 5, HE NEED TO TELL THE TRUTH THE GREATEST EVER! ON MY CHANNEL SITE TELL'S THE TRUTH ABOUT JORDAN!
Just look at your silly accusations while falling into denial because you realize it's the truth and it stands against what you want to believe. hahahahahahaha.
Alot of people's arguments on Kobe Bryant is that "Oh, he went 6-24 in game 7 of the Finals". What about Michael Jordan? I love MJ but he shot 15-35 in game 6 of the 1998 finals with 1 assist and 1 rebound, but that never gets criticized, why? Because he won. He willed his team to the victory, and he didn't care how many shots he took to do it. And Kobe did the same thing. And I'm not a big stats person but kobe had 15 rebounds and 5 assists to go along with his 23 points.
@reggmeister23 That's cool that you brought up the stats but im 100% certain that Kobe had more poor shooting nights then MJ did in his career. Not to mention Kobe is a volume shooter and he shoots alot to get his FGP but MJ always tried to get the easiest shot possible.
Why is it that EVERY coach or legend or even general manager always say that KOBE is better then Lebron and stupid ignorant fans still think Lebrons better? even Jordan said Kobe is better... those people are the ones you should listen to because they know the game more then every one.
Present greatness helps people forget about past greatness.
MJ>>>>Kobe, Go watch some 90s tapes of Jordan raping folks in the playoffs. MJ is the greatest post season player in NBA history! When it mattered Jordan came through ESPECIALLY in the finals: 6X finals MVP...NUFF SAID!
@Kingjd87 THAT'S WHY PPL FORGET OLD TIME GREATNESS BECAUSE IT WASN'T GREAT! JORDAN 'S PLAYOFF TEAMS WERE EXTREMELY WEAK! HE NEVER HAD TO GO UP AGAINST THE PORTLANDS, SPURS, KINGS CELT'S TYPE QUALITY TEAMS! IT REALLY WAS NO DIFFERENCE FROM REGULAR SEASON TO PLAYOFF'S IN JORDAN'S ERA! JORDAN SAID IT HIMSELF THAT HIS ERA WAS WEAK! (( AS FAR COMPETITION))) MY ERA WAS ((DIFFERENT)) IWISH I COULD HAVE PLAYED AGAINST THE KOBE'S , BECAUSE I LIKE COMPETITION AND BECAUSE I'M A COMPETITIVE PERSON! JORDAN!
11 rings? Pretty sure Phil Jackson has a large part to play in those hahaha GIVE LOVE TO THE COACH lol and stfu people Mj is great and so is Kobe why the fuck do you think they both played in the NBA for over a decade a piece, against each other at times and have some of the leagues greatest achievements?
Have you scored more than 26,000 points in the NBA?
Do you have 5 Championship rings?
Have you ever played a season with 2 broken fingers and still average 25 points a game?
No? You haven't done that? Then STFU
Im not asking people to love Kobe; but show him some respect. He's more talented than all y'all haters combined and has achieved more than you ever will in your lifetime. So unless you've been as successful as he has; don't hate
@jaspal2370 dude im a die hard Boston Fan,,, but you still gotta respect greatness in the end and i put Kobe above all.... even though last years finals were bullshit, the refs sucked as bad as the WCF in 2002
@jaspal2370 So if we're not as good as the players we can't talk about him? So no more fantasy basketball? No more ESPN? Dumb ass argument you got there.
@hattrick116 All i am saying is that why are people comparing kobe to a different player. Kobe is not to be compared to. example. There will never be a another jordan. Kobe is not jordan. Jordan is Jordan . And KObe is KObe. why the fk do people argue about who's beter. i don;t give a shi* this man did a lot. He plays. Gets the money. and enjoys life. the fkin media will be like o lebron is beter. or like mike only beter . NO !! i don't give a shi* The media will not stop making lies.
@hattrick116 nobody ever said you couldnt talk about him. all that was said is that he deserves respect and its not right to bad mouth someone if you cant do any better. hating on someone and talking about them are two different things.
@hattrick116 ppl on espn are typically former players or coaches who have some sort of credibility when they talk and are not just some random kid on youtube talkin shit,
@jaspal2370 so is every other player that plays in the nba..lol this is a retarded statement ...people can choose to hate and you shouldnt be attempting to sway them
folks. Kobe is the most skilled player ever. hes got a better shot than MJ, more range, better tough shot maker (the best tough shot maker ever, not close), his footwork is the best ever, his ballhandling (in terms of using both hands and controling the ball) is the best ever (hes not the flashiest dribbler), his clutchness is as good as anyone ever and his on ball D is slightly under MJ. MJ could drive better, jump higher, and played ina shitty ass era.
@KOBEandCAMBRIA24 Shitty ass era? c'mon Kobe is great as fuck dont get me wrong but MJ isnt overrated in any way if anything people overlook how extremely good he actually is. He played in an era with some of the greatest defensive players of all time. Not to say that Larry Bird, Magic Johnson and company weren't extremely talented offensive players. Besides the league now protects players like kobe and has so many bullshit calls that its hard to watch. Kobe and MJ are still great
@KOBEandCAMBRIA24 ill give you that he's a better long range shooter and a better ball handler, idk if he made tougher shots then mj though? In a era with tougher defensive rules, and better big men MJ made some pretty tough shots, and young MJ's athleticism is unmatched. but Kobe is a top 7 player all time i just think MJ is on another level. I'm biased though cause I'm from the Chi and saw almost every MJ game from the 90's, 95-98 MJ just might be his most impressive era cause of his age.
I think what people need to realize when its comes to kobe and michael is that...michael in his day was dvd in a vhs era there really wasnt anyone that was near to his level athletically but kobe in today's era is like the best blu ray movie in a store full of blu ray discs...its just that simple!!
I guess you don't happen to know that Kobe's father Joe jellybean Bryant was actually more athletic than Kobe has ever been, oh yeah Jellybean was a roleplayer. Keep repeating the Ketchup in a Mustard era comments though, they're pretty funny.
@lucianodadon no my friend, you got it all wrong.. in mj's era competition was like three times higher, if kobe was playing in 90's he would not accomplish what he accomplished in 2000's.. i LOVE kobe bryant but you have to understand that the league prime years were 90's and 2000's are dark era of NBA, one of the worst years... Michael Jordan is the best... sry for my english
So name one guy that compares to MJ athletically from that era? Whattaphuck said it perfectly: MJ was above and beyond everyone athletically. No one compared. Kobe has been guarded from everyone from Tayshaun Prince to Ron Artest. MJ had guys like John Starks, Jeff Hornacek, and Craig Ehlo. It's no comparison. If the competition was so great, someone would've beaten the Bulls. If they were so good, a challenger like the Knicks or Cavs would've won in MJ's absence instead of Houston
You are fucking stupid, the reason MJ is the greatest is because he was the most fundamental, and the most athletic, and the most competitive, of course no one compares to MJ athletically. There isn't a single player in the league today that compares to MJ athletically in his prime, the only player that I can think of that comes close is Lebron James, what a piis poor argument from you.
I laugh at how the names of Starks and Hornacek and Ehlo, the white guys are always brought up first, did you forget about the bigger black guys like Anthony Mason who was 6'7 250lbs or 6'8 Dennis Rodman? The reason most teams put smaller guys on Jordan is because if you put a taller guy then Jordan would've just blown right by him you stupid idiot, Tayshaun Prince really? You think Tayshuan compares to the defensive ability of Gary Payton or Rodman who both won DPOY?
Your logic is the most laughable piece of shit I've seen on youtube, if the Bulls got beaten then they wouldn't be a great team and Jordan would be a poor player because of that, but somehow according to you the competition wasn't great because they couldn't be beaten? What the fuck is this shit?
You're an idiot. I never said anything that implies MJ isn't the GOAT or that the Bulls weren't a dominant, dynastic team. What I said CLEARLY was that there was a TWO YEAR period when the Bulls main challengers could not win a title in his absence. Then, the lockout season was there for the Jazz during the SECOND retirement, and they lost to Portland. My point is, the quality of the Bulls' opposition has been overrated. Not the greatness of the Bulls or Jordan. Comprende jackass?
@whattaphuck omg it doesnt matter if he played on whatever era. it really doesnt. its not IF he did. we are judging by what happens, and happened. and by the looks of it, kobe is just the greatest. people are just stuck on the fact that michael is retired that they need to make an amazing player look like shit. kobe is the best. not only that kobe has more moves.most players have an A, B, and C move. michael had A-M but really kobe has the alphabet.
@dominicandrizzy LOL kid... just LOL!!! download few michael jordan games, watch them and then say something about him!! I LOVE kobe, i have like 5 kobe jerseys at home, im a lakers fan, i love everything about bryant!!! but saying that kobe is better than michael jordan is pointless, wrong and fucking stupid!! like i said kid, do your homework and then come say something
@whattaphuck i dont have to do my homework all i know is that Michael had a better inside game, and just a will to win that is almost matchless. However, Kobe has a better jumpshot, is very good inside. he might not have as many points as mike, but he proved that he is an all around player just like him. I think they are really alike. but michaels will to win was just nothing we've ever seen b4. and ya i love KOBE TOO!! Fuck the Dallas Mavs.
MJ had a better mid-range game than Kobe, you're delusional to think otherwise, I would agree if you said Kobe has a better outside jumper from the 3 point line, but inside the 3 point arc MJ was unstoppable his post-up fadeaway move was his bread and butter and allowed him to score 30+ and 50% throughout his entire career and it was on full display exclusively in his 2nd 3peat from 96-98
if Kobe has superior handle, why does he have more turnovers than MJ already?
@Hawkhunter07 Look, son, you said it, MJ developed his post game during his second 3 peat run, prior to that, his game was to primarily face the basket and drive. Your probably to young to remember the "Jordan Rules, but game plan defensively, was to give MJ the jump shot, because he was "some times-e" from the perimeter. From the beginning, Kobe has always had a complete game: inside, outside, hook-shots (I wish he took more), etc.
As for ball handling skills, it's not even close. KB >>> MJ
MJ always had the post game in the early 90s, theres always a huge misconception that he didn't have it until his 2nd 3peat is because he relied EXCLUSIVELY on it in his 2nd 3peat, in his 1st 3peat he could drive AND post up, that's the difference. and are you seriously assuming I don't even remember the Jordan rules by the Pistons? Are you serious lol.
If Kobe has better ball handling skills, why does he have more turnovers than MJ?
@Hawkhunter07 Look, son, MJ came into the league in '84, not the early '90s; and furthermore, I'm not saying MJ couldn't play in the post in his early days, I'm suggesting he was more comfortable on the preimeter - not shoot Js - but driving to the basket. Sure, he was still better at most at doing both even in his early years, however, we're comparing him to Kobe. Kobe is a more skilled basketball player than MJ, even he (MJ) admitted so. Phil Jackson, who coached them both, said so. Case close
Like I said find me a game of Kobe displaying his "fluid" side and I'll match it with another clip from MJ, it's pointless trying to argue on arbitrary terms that depend on subjective interpretation
Phil Jackson also said MJ's greatness will never be superseded, and that Kobe along with anyone should not be compared with him because MJ is in another sphere
@Hawkhunter07 It's not about finding "a game" that displays Kobe's fluidity, it simply is what it is. And yes, it is subjective. Likewise, it your minds eye, you might think CP3 "rips" to the basket better than D-Rose. It's not about finding a game, it's about understanding the nature of kenetics, and motion. Type "Kobe Bryant Greatness Personified," we'll start here... maybe you'll see it.
I live in L.A., and I am a huge Lakers fan. When did Phil Jackson make the comments you attribute to him?
Are you refering to this comment? "Phil Jackson also said MJ's greatness will never be superseded, and that Kobe along with anyone should not be compared with him because MJ is in another sphere"

@gmn545
kobe played with the handchecking rule and when it was made ilegal and his stats didnt change? lol
The8310353 5 months ago
You call that "didnt change?"
gmn545 5 months ago
@gmn545 this why u dnt just read stats dumbass kobe was hurt in 00 finals he missed a game and left another game in the 1st quarter so his averages were misleading just know that the most important game of that series shaq fouled out and kobe dominated overtime
southphilly21st 5 months ago
@southphilly21st Yeah and the next game he scored 8 points on 4-20 FG (20.0%). He played 37 minutes.

@thug8200 Don't lie. It was a sprained ankle, and not even that serious.
gmn545 5 months ago
@gmn545 is that why he ended up have surgery on it after the season
thug8200 5 months ago
@thug8200 Because he continued to play on it, which was his choice. When he came back, he played 37 minutes. He even had a monster dunk going at Rik Smits in game 5 and Doug Collins said, "it looks like his ankles feeling a lot better." Fact: it was a sprain, NOT broken.
gmn545 5 months ago
@gmn545 no smart ass that was game 4 he missed game 5 and closed game 6
thug8200 5 months ago
@thug8200 He missed game 3, dipshit. Game 4 he dropped 28 points, game 5 he played 37 minutes (8 points, 4-20 FG. And fact remains, it was a sprain NOT broken.

"Too much team defense, too much switching, too much pressing, too much half-court trapping, too much double-teaming. Too much, in short, of what most people call "zone." Bite your tongue. The NBA rule book does not acknowledge the word zone. In its stead is something called "illegal defense."

If they couldn't hand check back in the day, there are some guys that would have been even better than they were. It would have been nuts for some of the big-time scorers and perimeter players from the 1980s and 1990s. Hell no.

And I'm not a big stats person but kobe had 15 rebounds and 5 assists to go along with his 23 points.
reggmeister23 10 months ago
@reggmeister23 That's cool that you brought up the stats but im 100% certain that Kobe had more poor shooting nights then MJ did in his career. Not to mention Kobe is a volume shooter and he shoots alot to get his FGP but MJ always tried to get the easiest shot possible.

KOBEandCAMBRIA24 1 year ago
@KOBEandCAMBRIA24 Shitty ass era? c'mon Kobe is great as fuck dont get me wrong but MJ isnt overrated in any way if anything people overlook how extremely good he actually is. He played in an era with some of the greatest defensive players of all time. Not to say that Larry Bird, Magic Johnson and company weren't extremely talented offensive players. Besides the league now protects players like kobe and has so many bullshit calls that its hard to watch. Kobe and MJ are still great
espChris93 11 months ago
@KOBEandCAMBRIA24 nicely said, i agree
92plana 11 months ago
@KOBEandCAMBRIA24 ill give you that he's a better long range shooter and a better ball handler, idk if he made tougher shots then mj though? In a era with tougher defensive rules, and better big men MJ made some pretty tough shots, and young MJ's athleticism is unmatched. but Kobe is a top 7 player all time i just think MJ is on another level. I'm biased though cause I'm from the Chi and saw almost every MJ game from the 90's, 95-98 MJ just might be his most impressive era cause of his age.

lucianodadon 1 year ago 26
I guess you don't happen to know that Kobe's father Joe jellybean Bryant was actually more athletic than Kobe has ever been, oh yeah Jellybean was a roleplayer. Keep repeating the Ketchup in a Mustard era comments though, they're pretty funny.
Jrotten11 1 year ago
@lucianodadon no my friend, you got it all wrong.. in mj's era competition was like three times higher, if kobe was playing in 90's he would not accomplish what he accomplished in 2000's.. i LOVE kobe bryant but you have to understand that the league prime years were 90's and 2000's are dark era of NBA, one of the worst years... Michael Jordan is the best... sry for my english
whattaphuck 9 months ago
@whattaphuck
If they were so good, a challenger like the Knicks or Cavs would've won in MJ's absence instead of Houston
cbaldwinjr 8 months ago
@cbaldwinjr
Hawkhunter07 8 months ago
@cbaldwinjr
Hawkhunter07 8 months ago
@cbaldwinjr
Your logic is the most laughable piece of shit I've seen on youtube, if the Bulls got beaten then they wouldn't be a great team and Jordan would be a poor player because of that, but somehow according to you the competition wasn't great because they couldn't be beaten? What the fuck is this shit?
Hawkhunter07 8 months ago
@Hawkhunter07
Comprende jackass?
cbaldwinjr 8 months ago
@cbaldwinjr
By saying the quality of the Bulls' opposition is overrated, you're indirectly implying that the Bulls greatness are overrated, are you stupid?
Hawkhunter07 8 months ago
@whattaphuck omg it doesnt matter if he played on whatever era. it really doesnt. its not IF he did. we are judging by what happens, and happened. and by the looks of it, kobe is just the greatest. people are just stuck on the fact that michael is retired that they need to make an amazing player look like shit. kobe is the best. not only that kobe has more moves.most players have an A, B, and C move. michael had A-M but really kobe has the alphabet.
dominicandrizzy 8 months ago
@dominicandrizzy LOL kid... just LOL!!! download few michael jordan games, watch them and then say something about him!! I LOVE kobe, i have like 5 kobe jerseys at home, im a lakers fan, i love everything about bryant!!! but saying that kobe is better than michael jordan is pointless, wrong and fucking stupid!! like i said kid, do your homework and then come say something
whattaphuck 8 months ago
@whattaphuck i dont have to do my homework all i know is that Michael had a better inside game, and just a will to win that is almost matchless. However, Kobe has a better jumpshot, is very good inside. he might not have as many points as mike, but he proved that he is an all around player just like him. I think they are really alike. but michaels will to win was just nothing we've ever seen b4. and ya i love KOBE TOO!! Fuck the Dallas Mavs.
dominicandrizzy 8 months ago
@dominicandrizzy In addtion to Kobe have a better J than MJ, he also has a superior handle, and his game is more fluid.
Legend1One 8 months ago
@Legend1One
Hawkhunter07 8 months ago
@Hawkhunter07 Look, son, you said it, MJ developed his post game during his second 3 peat run, prior to that, his game was to primarily face the basket and drive. Your probably to young to remember the "Jordan Rules, but game plan defensively, was to give MJ the jump shot, because he was "some times-e" from the perimeter. From the beginning, Kobe has always had a complete game: inside, outside, hook-shots (I wish he took more), etc.
As for ball handling skills, it's not even close. KB >>> MJ
Legend1One 8 months ago
@Legend1One
Hawkhunter07 8 months ago
@Hawkhunter07 Look, son, MJ came into the league in '84, not the early '90s; and furthermore, I'm not saying MJ couldn't play in the post in his early days, I'm suggesting he was more comfortable on the preimeter - not shoot Js - but driving to the basket. Sure, he was still better at most at doing both even in his early years, however, we're comparing him to Kobe. Kobe is a more skilled basketball player than MJ, even he (MJ) admitted so. Phil Jackson, who coached them both, said so. Case close
Legend1One 8 months ago
@Legend1One
Hawkhunter07 8 months ago
@Hawkhunter07 It's not about finding "a game" that displays Kobe's fluidity, it simply is what it is. And yes, it is subjective. Likewise, it your minds eye, you might think CP3 "rips" to the basket better than D-Rose. It's not about finding a game, it's about understanding the nature of kenetics, and motion. Type "Kobe Bryant Greatness Personified," we'll start here... maybe you'll see it.
I live in L.A., and I am a huge Lakers fan. When did Phil Jackson make the comments you attribute to him?
