You have to fly into the wind at an angle that offsets the crosswind. I have seen these vids on the A380. It is meant to be for your entertainment. We have just flown on the A380 and this is a camera option on your screen at your seat. You can also select a camera at the front. Or see where you are on the map, listen to radio or watch tv. Amazing flight. Would love to fly again soon...

Emirates flights have onboard cameras that are placed at different areas on the outside of the aircraft so people inside can look at views from these cameras from the comfort of their plane from their screens. This video is not fake but it is not true that you were sitting on the tail as that would violate the worlds aviation laws!!!

Most modern A330s, A340s, A380s, 747s, 767s, 777s, etc. have in-flight cameras installed, but it largely depends on the airline company (& alliance perhaps) you're flying with. Some order them without cameras (cost saving?). Anyway, I've been on most of these airplanes and seems to me they all have at least one camera mounted outside. A380 has for sure hands down. lol

He is filming the display on the tv screen on the back of the seat in front of him. That is why it goes all shaky as the plane touches down. The full image, which is also permanently displayed on the flight deck, will show most of the wings but particularly the engines.

I believe this became mandatory after a fatal crash in the UK when, following an engine fire, the pilots shut down the wrong engine.
