Although I do own and love a number of mac brushes, they are a quite pricey, and there are many cheaper alternatives! One of my favorite brand for makeup brushes is Sonia Kashuk, which is sold in Target stores here in the U.S. I'm not sure if it is availabe in Canada, but they are awesome brushes, and very inexpensive compared to mac or other high-end brands!

i use eco tool brushes, great drugstore brushes and elf studio line are pretty good too, i wouldnt recommend for applying foundation but for everything else, not bad at all for the price

sadly, I don't have an opportunity to buy pricy brushes...so I use cheap uncomfortable brushes. However, I LOVE make-up art, and i figured it out how to create cute looks with inexpensive tools. Anyway, with good quality brushes, i believe I could do better.. maybe one day i will have extra money and I will buy my dream brushes - sigma:)

I'm really impressed with the quality of Sephora brand brushes. I have a bunch from Sigma, Smashbox, Quo, and MAC but the Sephora ones have never shed on me, hold their shape effortlessly, and are super soft/non-irritating. My favourite from them is the angled liner brush #15. Sharp angle. Great for brows, tightlining, and winged eyeliner.

I think the brand that has the best brushes as to be mac. All the brushes are handmade, so they're very good quality. But sigma is also very good quality for the fraction of the price.

i think sigma brushes are the best all gurus use them and they seem like they help do the makeup look great whether putting on foundation or eyeshadow sigma brushes are the best for them especially since they do cute little brush kit collections such as the different make me collections. Hakuhodo and Louise Young are known to produce premiere, quality brushes.

I use the super cheap essence of beauty brushes from the drugstore, but they're actually quite excellently made!
