I have ideas. I'm doing my best to get the word out, it's a great film, a must see for Native Peoples. I will help us honor our past. Yakoke am akana!
@cyberpunk72000 Jumping in here, I think the problem many NAs & AAs have with WASPs is bec they support system of oppression & racism, & have yet to do what is right by both the indigenous & Black folks in the US. Go look up systematic racism here on YT, it explains what racism means & why many WASPs unknowingly support it due to ignorance, privilege, complacence, or outright bigotry.
@nenabunena I am sorry, i don't accept responsibility for slighting anyone unless I have done it myself regardless of how society is setup. If I haven't gone into your house and stolen something, I am not to blame for it happening to you.
@cyberpunk72000 But that's the problem isn't it? No whites will take responsibility bec they are living off stolen goods & broken promises. You may not have been the 1 who went into the house to steal but you are keeping the stolen dreams, traditions, culture & property still, PLUS you still support systematic racism. I know you guys don't believe in guilt, conscience, penance, repentance bec if you did you'd actually have to take a step to do the right thing.
@nenabunena Then you should probably be focusing on the people in charge of preserving that system. I don't feel guilt for things I didn't do to other people. Doing so I consider pinnng my problems on other people instead of fixing my own life. It is called an excuse after a while. If you think things are MY fault, then you are doing it as well.
@cyberpunk72000 But you are part of the system. The system will not work if you were not a part of it or if you didn't support it. Check out white privilege here on YT. Go rent or buy 500 Nations. I think it's interesting that the near genocide of 500 Nations, of more than 400 ethnic groups are now being blamed for their own demise. If they can't help themselves, if AAs have issues getting out of the racist system, well screw them they deserve it. Fact is you are doing it to other people.
@cyberpunk72000 It's an excuse? LOL! Shows how little empathy you have for people you stole everything from since you've clearly broken all of them down & left them with nothing, not even their culture, pride & humanity. Nice. The problem is you have no care for others, you live in a me me me & more me mindset, bec to do so takes too much heart & a conscience you cannot find in yourself. You are a part of the system & you simply do not care.
@nenabunena blah blah blah.... what have you done to improve your own life? So far it only looks to me that you say it is someone else's fault. At least point you finger at someone whose hand is ACTUALLY reaching into your proverbial pocket. I am over here doing my best for my family. I reject your blame, good luck with the finger pointing.
@cyberpunk72000 I have done many things & I am doing many things for what I feel is right for others. Im not an American yet I care for people not of my own, yet all u care for is yourself. U accuse these NAs & AAs for making excuses for their plight, how typical of someone who supports an oppressive system that benefits them. Ur best for your family is all about you, it's called altruism in the biological sense. Y are u here watching NA vids anyway since u find their suffering their fault?
WE must never forget our people our nations...for what was done there ....is a reflection of the future for all people....and so the sacred wheel revolves.
Please go back to who your ancestors were, i looked at the Pine Ridge documentry,it left me feeling depressed, not a flower,no trees, the monument neglected, the fence the Sioux should have thought of this, should have the medicine in series all along the fence, honor your ancestors do not forget your language,Osceola Birdman Waters/
one thing i know that works pretty well is the little carts at the mall. they're usually on the first floor and there almost as big as a car. people sell jewelery, cell phones, electronics and that Roseta Stone language program. I think that it would be a good idea to maybe do something like that. I know I'd be first in line to buy this documentary.
A real good movie! Well done! I am one of the participants of the crazy horse memorial ride in september..this movie of the Knee is well worth seeing and telling others about too. wopila!
