  • Nice way to polish

  • Why not just use a polishing head on a cheap drill? ie. spin the polishing compound not the wheel.

  • thats cool... can you polish the wheels on my valkrye?????

  • greetings .. i have a 1985 honda shadow ... and the rims look about 9 times worse then yours same thing with the shifter covers my question is ... would this way work for them as well ... and where did you get all the stuff you used from ?

  • Watch out for the Safety Inspector

  • Now that's a great idea! Many thanks for uploading this. One thing: do you use anything to protect the surface i.e. clear coat, metal varnish, etc..? I mean it will got with time, right? I've got a '94 Magna and was either considering going mate black of posilh

  • I think some have used clear coat after polishing, but I didn't.

I find that after getting the pits out, that just keeping them clean by polishing them lightly with Mother's metal polish using a microfiber cloth works. Nothing like the work shown in the video. I'm talking about a few minutes on each wheel with the bike on a lift, a few times each summer.

The climate is dry here, so we don't get the pitting that those living on the coast, or eastern US see.

  • your fukin ideas are brilliant .........if you go to my channel and look at my konig rims on one of my vids ...you think i could do the same to them

  • did you broke you arm while working on you damn wheel

  • Nope. Sprained it while putting chairs away after a Boy Scouts Pinewood Derby.

  • the only budget way to make wheel spin - rise whole car start engine and leave it on gear... Your idea is just much better! thank you man!

  • Not really my idea. I just put it to video.

  • Nice, great problem solving skills. Keeping things on a budget, as we can't all just buy new ones or pay pros to polish them!

  • thats awesome...do you think theres a method where you dont have to remove the tire?

Maybe the bike on a stand while rotating the tire?

  • Yeah, I guess you could put it on a stand and do something similar, but it would be hard to get the whole wheel. And, unless you had a stand that would get the wheels chest high, you'd be sitting on the floor to do the work.

  • GAH tell me something i dont know theres like 100 more vids like this

  • you scare me with your ingenouity!

  • Wow !! Awesome !!!.

That's exactly what I was looking for. But tell me, Is it the same process for aluminium Wheels. I just want to make sure I use the right compound and sand grid paper before I start anything.

    Can you help?

Oh and also. Seems to work best if the wheel is spinning. If I don't have anything to make my wheel turning. is it gonna be same results or not?

  • The Valk has aluminum wheels, so this is exactly what you're looking for.

I did the rear wheel by hand and got great results. It was just A LOT MORE work...maybe 7 hours to do one wheel, thus the inspiration to build this.

  • Awesome presentation, really cool how ya walked everybody through the process and the results were fantastic. Keep the videos coming you help the rest of us tremondously.

  • thanks, great help

  • that is friggin ingenious!!

  • Great Tutorial!

  • Great vid!
