I think he's a finished footballer, he should retire as soon as he can other wise ppl will remember him as a shit, lazy weak footballer. He used to be good, was alright in the championship but now he shouldnt play because he's not fit, very weak, terrible ball control and really cant do anything any more. (Literraly at the end of posting this ameobi scored against tottenham to make it 2-2 I was listening to it on the radio) Nevertheless...

Shola Ameobi could have achieved so much more in his career. You don't have a record aganist Sunderland like he does and consider yourself just an good/okay striker. If Ameobi improved his drive towards the whole season rather then selective games he would easily get double figures in goals with his size and physical skills. He had and still has everything Andy Carroll has in size and skill so there is no reason why he can't produce the same goods for the Toon today

@crazynighthawk Thats a bit harsh mate. Good strikers are hard to come by, unless you spend over £15million. And getting them to settle is another massive problem. Hes got close control for a big lad, he looks up, hes strong, great in the air and although he doesnt score many scorchers. He scores his bread and butter chances most times. Wait and see, Carroll will be shit at Liverpool unless they get some decent wingers, Ameobi was a foil in alot if his good performances. Think of the Derbys too!
