It's not just Mexico that is sending immigrants, it is El Salvador, Guatemala, much of Central America. I do agree we need some immigration reform. A lot of criminals are coming here and we have no way of tracking them. However, more illegals came here with Bush than President Obama. Bush practically threw the door open. Dr. Keyes is brilliant. He earned his PhD in government affairs from Harvard University in 1979, as opposed to Obama who was the editor of the Harvard Law Review. Keyes could run circles around Obama in a Presidential debate, (if the people in the audiance had a 3 digit I.Q. that is.) Unfortunately for this country the electorate has been 'Dummied Down' over the last 30 years, and the outcome would mirror the '94 Senate Race. I think the US needs (at some point) a black president with more conservative views... at least a black president that is not so far to the left as Obama. For all the feel-good talk about Obama bringing the country together, in reality he polarized it more than it already was.

If you're (not your) dirt poor, and the infant death rate is high, you tend to need lots (to take care of you when you're old, without Social Security). The point of the post, which you missed, is that we could do many things to limit immigration, and Keyes won't do any of them. How about ending US farm subsidies so Mexican farmers could compete?
