6s is ALWAYS BETTER off-road (unless u have ur suspension super stiff). Otherwise, good luck with keeping ya car on the road and ya finger never meeting full throttle :)
this video make me think a bit less of the savage. seems like it candle the power, high speed turns, etc. and not nearly as fast as a traxxas with the same power. Its stil a badass sexy truck though. @TheABSoLooT1 Savages are a bashing truck. They can be tuned to race (I know a guy with an engine mod on his K5.9 and it rips faster than Revo 3.3). Savages are a much more durable truck than a Traxxas. Traxxas are meant for the track, not to be outside bashing.
@blackeye09 We put a HPI BLUR ESC on a flux 2350 and it will do standing backflips without touching the slipper. I'm a nitro guy, but these electrics are insane.

nitro, electric, gas all have pros and all have cons gas longer tun time than nitro or electric but then its the price of gas or nitro but then the batteries can cost up to and way more than $100 then there is the charger that can run from 40 -200 bucks dependng on where you wanna go not to mention type of battery and charger have to be compatible no venom battery will work on a (example) losi lipo charger so on and so forth (getting long winded here ) so any whoo its alll personal preference
u sure? any lipo charger should charge any lipo cell as long as you are with in amperage and cell ratings of the charger, brand should not matter, they are all pretty much the same, they just change the sticker and call it theirs
yes but the balancing adapters sometimes do not always work as well as if you used the brands charger its retarded if they just left it all regulated same charger adapters and leads so we dont have to buy 10 adapters im my experience that is what happened to me

The biggest problem i have are tires. Taped or not! Say good bye if you can keep the front end down. You are right about the heat though. It's something that needs to be watched. Especially after spur gear changes.

@anthonyskibbles With the right gearing the flux can hit about 80mph and there are videos of fluxs getting close to that speed on youtube and im pretty sure no nitro savage could hit that kind of speed, im all for nitro but saying electric just has more acceleration is just stupid.

@NitroFahle Manufacturers need to release some models with big nitro engines in them. Remember the EK from thunder tiger? A .70 heli engine? Brushless is not more powerfull, its just that manufactures stick to classes of nitro engines. .21 being a class for racing. heck yes they are and bang for the buck vxl rustler will do 70mph (with the lipo battery off course) but are still crazy fast with the 8.4v and its instant power with electric dosnt need to winde up 100% torque at 0 rpm
really depends. a nitro car requires break in and requires a bit more keepup. IMO a nitro car is for more of a hands on hobbyist where and electric there is still things you can do as far as suspension upgrades and motor upgrades but dont require tuning for upgrades or seasons. i myself prefer nitro due to the fact when your car runs out.... dump some more fuel in and bam back going or maybe have to throw 4 more AA in for the receiver. where electric you have to wait for battery to recharge.
and i think its really fun to have both. and uncontrobable flux. and a nitro rc.and a nitro rc with shit loads of power is also alot of fun. like a revo with a .28 picco motor.
It's more powerfull, can go backward, you will not get dirty. From nitro , natural i ended with elektro brushless Flux 6S Hyperion G3 :o). See my vids.
The FLUXoR will do 62mph out of the box, with 6s lipoz. I was gonna buy one of these but decided to man up and get a XL. i got my first nitro in august and i got so sick of it. the tuning was so annoying, changing the needles every time you get to half tank, when the outside temperature changes, when you buy it you got to break it in. it breaks easy, i smashed 2 gas tanks, broke a connecting rod, doesnt wheely at all, big money pit
5000 mah lipo's is like 30 mins average. I usually last a couple of hours on 4 6s lipo's when messing around. Minimum is like 20 mins I think, thats what I get on my truggy while racing.
Well I don't wanna bitch or scrap like everyone else on here but i bought a Flux last week with 6S packs and switched to a Spektrum Telemetry system. All i can say is the thing is way to powerful to even be fun. Mind you I havent set up the ESC throttle curves yet but did switch to a 25-44 tooth ratio which i thought might tame the torque down a bit but really all it did was make the fukr faster. It's unreal. Spend more time putting it back on its wheels then driving it.

Traxxas is way better then HPI. I have both Savage Flux and E revo and E maxx. The only thing i can say about the Savage is its more durable and the parts seem to be a bit more thicker. But my E revo brushless destroys my Savage flux especially on a track. The only thing the savage is good for is bashing and jumping. On a track its not even a comparison. Each time you'd attemp to corner you'd have to slow down or flip over and my revo is already ahead a half a lap and climbing.

The suspension advantage is so obvious around the first couple of corners. I've won many of races at 20 bucks a pop from HPI owners that were just set on hating on Traxxas until the point where they had no money to bet with anymore. Now HPI is more durable and the parts are more thicker but Traxxas makes alot of good products :erevo,rustler,emaxx
I agree, the only thing i disapprove of traxxas is that they use plastic drivetrain, instead of metal (dog-bones) had they used metal there i would have bought myself a brushless revo instead of my flux either way i love my flux to death its a great truck!

@NitroFahle Manufacturers need to release some models with big nitro engines in them. Remember the EK from thunder tiger? A .70 heli engine? Brushless is not more powerfull, its just that manufactures stick to classes of nitro engines. .21 being a class for racing. But very few race, and now, more than ever we need to see some huge donks in our nitro cars!!! To let the world know nitro is still where its at for power and speed. Everyone loves a nitro car so please give us some big engines!!

heck yes they are and bang for the buck vxl rustler will do 70mph (with the lipo battery off course) but are still crazy fast with the 8.4v and its instant power with electric dosnt need to winde up 100% torque at 0 rpm

really depends. a nitro car requires break in and requires a bit more keepup. IMO a nitro car is for more of a hands on hobbyist where and electric there is still things you can do as far as suspension upgrades and motor upgrades but dont require tuning for upgrades or seasons. i myself prefer nitro due to the fact when your car runs out.... dump some more fuel in and bam back going or maybe have to throw 4 more AA in for the receiver. where electric you have to wait for battery to recharge.

The FLUXoR will do 62mph out of the box, with 6s lipoz. I was gonna buy one of these but decided to man up and get a XL. Probably a bad mistake cos i've already used $30 of juice just running the big girl in!! Oh well I love it. When the K5.9 shits itself in five minutes i might convert to electric. HOPE THAT DON'T HAPPEN HAHAHAHAHAHAHa!!!

i got my first nitro in august and i got so sick of it. the tuning was so annoying, changing the needles every time you get to half tank, when the outside temperature changes, when you buy it you got to break it in. it breaks easy, i smashed 2 gas tanks, broke a connecting rod, doesnt wheely at all, big money pit

5000 mah lipo's is like 30 mins average. I usually last a couple of hours on 4 6s lipo's when messing around. Minimum is like 20 mins I think, thats what I get on my truggy while racing.

Well I don't wanna bitch or scrap like everyone else on here but i bought a Flux last week with 6S packs and switched to a Spektrum Telemetry system. All i can say is the thing is way to powerful to even be fun. Mind you I havent set up the ESC throttle curves yet but did switch to a 25-44 tooth ratio which i thought might tame the torque down a bit but really all it did was make the fukr faster. It's unreal. Spend more time putting it back on its wheels then driving it.

Traxxas is way better then HPI. I have both Savage Flux and E revo and E maxx. The only thing i can say about the Savage is its more durable and the parts seem to be a bit more thicker. But my E revo brushless destroys my Savage flux especially on a track. The only thing the savage is good for is bashing and jumping. On a track its not even a comparison. Each time you'd attemp to corner you'd have to slow down or flip over and my revo is already ahead a half a lap and climbing.

Now i have the Savage Flux and the E revo brushless and actually i'm a fan of both. But realistically on the track and E revo eats the Savages lunch. The suspension advantage is so obvious around the first couple of corners. I've won many of races at 20 bucks a pop from HPI owners that were just set on hating on Traxxas until the point where they had no money to bet with anymore. Now HPI is more durable and the parts are more thicker but Traxxas makes alot of good products :erevo,rustler,emaxx

I agree, the only thing i disapprove of traxxas is that they use plastic drivetrain, instead of metal (dog-bones) had they used metal there i would have bought myself a brushless revo instead of my flux either way i love my flux to death its a great truck!
