the video doesn't really go exactly with the song..it kinda seems like that his girl is dying and eventually dies...but...if you watch carefully, the guy sitting outside his porch is kinda day dreaming..it shows him kinda get up and go off into a "fantasy type world" seen through something different..on the corners of the scree, you can see the shades of black indicating that its not reality..he goes on to realize that the women of his dreams is for some reason now gone..he is losing his woman

In the second stanza she sings the same thing back to him 'Over and over and over again she cries - Don't fall away blah blah blah'

They broke up. He hard a hard time moving on. She realised she made a mistake and is back. He tells her how it was. Now read through the lyrics and it will make sense. :)
