Pacman isn't jumping in on Muraine. They clearly arranged to divide their dance during specific segments of the song. Muraine wasn't completing his moves for each segment on time so Pac did the right thing and stuck to the formula. Another reason he should of won. Better timing.

Phillip has improved a lot since that dance battle. He not only does pop but meshes his popping with hip-hop dancing, it's very entertaining to watch. (check out his channel, pacman)
For me, dancing is all about entertaining and Philip is good, but Robert's sense of humor and how he incorporates it in his dancing is my selling point.

ok they are BOTH dancers. but i definitely agree, robert is too limited with his style. his moves are so redundant; sort of like david elsewhere. phillip, although style may be similar he does develop on this style and explore different ways to approach it. plus his movement suited the music so much better than robert. one thing people dont really look at is how well you dance TO the music. people may be able to dance WITH the music, but those who can dance TO the music are much better off.

This is a horrible representation of what a popping "battle" is. Mainstream always kills true Hip-Hop, whether in the form of MCeeing or bboying. However, I have a lot of respect for Philip, because he has STYLE and somewhat stays true to the foundation of popping while "Mr. Fantastic" is all about tricks/crowd pleasers. Don't get me wrong. They're all better than me, but calling it the first battle to air on TV is such a bad representation of USA's dance scene.
Pacman is a good dancer but in my opinion Mr. Fantastic is much better. There's something bout Pacman's style that isn't as good. I personally feel that he moves waayyy too fast. The beauty of Mr. Fantastic's dancing is that it looks so effortless and chill whilst Pacman is constantly waving his arms about.

Robert is just a bad copy of Salah (look "Salah - Bboy/Popper/Locker...Dancer").
Pacman is just insane. He's the real dancer ("Pacman VS D-Rock").

Phillip has improved a lot since that dance battle. He not only does pop but meshes his popping with hip-hop dancing, it's very entertaining to watch. (check out his channel, pacman)

GODAMNIT GUYS, robert DOES NOT have hypermobility, phil was mad, because he lost. HE LOST, not cos hes better. rob did everything right. he explored the different genres. he didnt just do flexible stuff, he worked for his flexibility, phil is hiphop material. rob is the popper. robert is a good popper, who infact worked for every, single fucking skill he has. and for fuck sake guys, its not the electric boogie, or pop and lock, or robot. @Almujic popping isn't closed into its own world of dancing. Plus this isn't a "popping" battle. its just a DANCE battle and they both have similar styles. But pacman has waaay more skill and progress than Robert does. Look at pacman's youtube. He goes way beyond just popping and is even starting a crew for abdc. Robert is merely for show with his flexy head moves. <-- so yea, it does get the crowd going.

@Almujic I would have to disagree with you on rob. all he did was mainly isolations and a few hits here there. the reason why a lot of people are flaming on him is because phillip actually danced and, as you put it, "explored the different genres." as far as popping goes, the main thing that gets people excited about popping battles is the dancer's musicality and phillip definitely had more of that in this battle. contrary to what a judge later says, dancing > tricks in a popping battle.

they're both awesome dancers, don't get me wrong. But I think Mr. Fantastic can probably dance to other styles of dance. Pacman will only stick to popping and...all he can do....Pacman is way more entertaining, But Mr. Fantastic is more versatile towards other dancing styles. Agree?

ok they are BOTH dancers. but i definitely agree, robert is too limited with his style. his moves are so redundant; sort of like david elsewhere. phillip, although style may be similar he does develop on this style and explore different ways to approach it. plus his movement suited the music so much better than robert. one thing people dont really look at is how well you dance TO the music. people may be able to dance WITH the music, but those who can dance TO the music are much better off.

This is a horrible representation of what a popping "battle" is. Mainstream always kills true Hip-Hop, whether in the form of MCeeing or bboying. However, I have a lot of respect for Philip, because he has STYLE and somewhat stays true to the foundation of popping while "Mr. Fantastic" is all about tricks/crowd pleasers. Don't get me wrong. They're all better than me, but calling it the first battle to air on TV is such a bad representation of USA's dance scene.

Pacman is a good dancer but in my opinion Mr. Fantastic is much better. There's something bout Pacman's style that isn't as good. I personally feel that he moves waayyy too fast. The beauty of Mr. Fantastic's dancing is that it looks so effortless and chill whilst Pacman is constantly waving his arms about.
