I thought it was proven that the family lied about the house being haunted and they just made up a story to get attention? I loved this movie though, and the one from the 70's. Ryan Reynolds sure is a hottie when he's crazy.

Remakes of classic horror films are not ALWAYS bad. This was pretty good. I dont know why everyone hates modern remakes of classics and rates them badly, including this one. Some of the remakes are decent ones OK!

Fantastic and very extraordinary movie! Great mix of Drama, Horror and Thriller - had much more sense than so-called "Horror Masterpieces" I've seen recently.

Ryan Reynolds, Melissa George, Jesse James, Jimmy Bennett and Chloe Moretz did an excellent job.
