@CheersMarra I would much rather be a middle class nobody but healthy and thin, than rich and sloppily unhealthy and fat. you can have your first class tickets I will keep my fit and athletic healthy body, thank you.
@CheersMarra sarcasm would involve a remark, a statement, not a question. Im in my last year of a 4 year college, Im 5'10" 185 lbs with 8% body fat, I have no debt and many opportunities for jobs when i graduate, what are you?? just a nobody who likes the movie clerks probably, realize that fame and success means nothing to those of us who value health and virtue.
@colinwar A remark and a comment are interchangeable, you fool, I thought you said you went to college? I think this is a lie, since your grammar is basic at the least. I'm in the Royal Navy actually as a Midshipman on the Subs, I got a commisioned rank through studying a degree in Accountancy. A degree of common sense might get you somewhere in life. I'm actually a fan of Kevin Smith, I don't spend all my free time trawling YouTube like a sad prick calling people 'Fat', like yourself!
@colinwar Shit, commercial planes were built to accommodate dwarfs. At 6' 3" even if I weighed 190 pounds like I did in high school, I would still be 6 inches wider across the shoulders than the tops of the seats. Money is king. But yeah, he's a big dude who most likely flies first class anyway, so coach seating is likely not a worry for him.
@genepoolshallow I just watched a video of jay cutler flying in one of those seats and he managed it, now this guy on this video in the other hand, would probably not be able to physically fit in one seat but if he could i dont see why not letting him fly. but lest be honest he is way too overcrowded with adipose tissue to accomplish that.
@metsjets333 Maybe in a world where you're either a STAR or a nobody. I say Willis is a one trick sellout who will indefinitely trade dignity for cash, while Kevin Smith is a sincere artist who's too down to earth (and maybe a little naive) for Hollywood bullshit.
I like Kevin and everything and usually he is pretty fair with his stories and what not; but if you ask me, Bruce Willis was probably the only good thing about cop out. The rest I put on Kevins' camera work and casting (Tracey Morgan..*shudders*)
@Antichrist2000 Tracey Morgan was at least trying to put energy into the film, Bruce Willis was like a fucking zombie just saying his lines. This story actually makes the entire movie make so much more sense.
I was a huge Kevin Smith fan back in the day, even defended his post Askewniverse movies, but he's being a punk ass bitch now. I think Bruce Willis has been in enough good movies to know how to make something work, and Cop Out wasn't anything special. Could not be saved. Tracey Morgan doesn't help either with his overacting and annoying jabber.
he really does need to lose some weight, im quite fat i mena im not think but this is just not healthy, not for him and definitely not for his wife and daughter.
I'm willing to take Kevin Smith at his word because previous evidence suggests that Bruce Willis is a major douche nozzle (watch?v=bl960T3ttgE). However Kevin Smith's star has fallen in recent years and as much as I love his earlier work, he hasn't made a truly good film in a while. If Cop Out was a disappointment it's not all Willis' fault. It's entirely possible this was a clash of major egos. Go figure.
@mikepalomino His star hasn't fallen. Clerks II only made 5 times its cost. Zack and Miri made a profit, just not usual Seth Rogan dollars. Good movie though. The fate of Kevin Smith is the fate of indy film. He took Cop Out because Harvey couldn't do Red State and new funding had to be arranged. Red State is a very different but solid film, perhaps Kevin's best work. I don't know why he was micro-directing Willis, though. He knows some actors don't like it.
@Jawsphobia By "star" I am referring to the quality of his work not the returns on his films. While I know this is subjective, I go back to his earlier work and the quality, the character development, the humor is significantly sharper than his recent fare. Clerks II was - IMHO - a shallow followup to a brilliant film. Zach and Miri was okay, good for a number of yuks, but he seems content to just deliver cheap, puerile laughs. I'd like to see Red State though; I've heard good buzz. Cheers!
@mikepalomino Personally, I think its a mix of Willis possibly being an ass and Kevin just not knowing how to deal with it. Like on The Sin City SE Commentary, Robert Rodriguez stated quite clearly if you aren't handling your ship so to speak, Willis will not hesitate to take control from you and get things right if you are being incompetent. That being said, its possible he was going too far with it, but I really think its a double sided story in that Kevin just wasn't on point during filming.
@mikepalomino I realize you made that comment 10 months ago, but you should check out Red State. It's not a stoner comedy by any stretch of the imagination, but I rather enjoyed it.
@IVIegadude I hear ya. I need to get around seeing Red State as I've heard some good buzz. As for my comment, don't get me wrong, no doubt Willis was being an ass but - if I recall from this video - Kevin Smith seems to try to deflect Cop Out's failures on his less-than-stellar experience with him, maybe not word-for-word but that was my impression when I first wrote my comment. Hopefully Red State will mark his return as a great filmmaker, instead of pandering to the lowest common denominator.
5 Stars! All the way! Love Kevin... More to Love, I don't care what Southwest Says....what a way to end such a great roll...Southwest be kinder and gentler! Love it LaHitz! Thanks a million for the laughs!
