I got this DVD through the Blockbuster online/mail program. My poor daughter's been waiting over three weeks now for me to be ready to return it, so that she can exchange it for a movie she wants. I just can't bring myself to give it up!

The problem is that no one should be allowed to be as perfect as Hugh Jackman is in this production. Oh, well. She can wait another three weeks.

We're reading this in my Dramatic Literature class, and we get to watch this and he (my teacher) didn't warn us that Hugh Jackman was in it. My friend and I love him and we flipped out when we first saw him. He's one of my favorite actors and this is one of my favorite musicals. The combination is perfect!!

@MrsReycullen Just look for him in the musical "The Boy From Oz' (there are clips here on Youtube) - he played the VERY camp, gay songwriter/performer Woody Allen in the biographical show! Singing, GREAT and VERY camp dancing and...wait for it... gold spandex trousers!!!! ^_^

I almost like this more than the original. The three in this scene play off each other so well. And Josefina is so cute and beautiful. I wish we could see more of her in theater or TV. JLeeGraham is right. This is better than anything Jackman is doing on film right now.

Absolutely charming! I saw this revival at the National Theatre in London in 1999...it was so marvelous it brought me to tears. Hugh Jackman does better work on stage than he's currently doing in film, IMHO.

@Intellectualdisgrace I found this at my local public library. Try there, it might be there! It's amazing, I dare to say better than the original movie. They added back all the parts that were cut off of the original production...so it's almost 3 hours long, but great!
