The insanity feature of the game always messed with me, at one point I had the revolver out, but I had no ammo for it, and while in that room my guy would occasionally point the gun at his face and -click-.

also this game was nightmare inducing for me, mainly because I had a nightmare where you had to deal with the Shaggoth AGAIN after you blew it up.

That'd be pretty funny, but you can't actually equip the wrench. If I didn't have the gun out I wouldn't have even shot myself. I only had it out to screw around.

Thought you had a melee weapon way back. If the game gives you a melee weapon next time, maybe you can test to see if it does indeed make Jack kill himself with it? Severe head trauma works as well as a bullet sometimes.
