  • Caffiene is a stimulant, why not just drink a cup of coffee every day or every other day. Can also exercise. Supposedly that helps.

  • Has anyone actually used Attend and Memorin? if you have let me know if they worked. I am highly skeptical because they keep refering to a study done 10 years ago, overseen by this psyciatrist who is obviously paid by this company. Major conflict of interest. Gosh, you just can't trust anyone anymore.

  • SCT & Inattentive need to be separated from the rest of the ADHD category.

There are problems telling apart Inattentive from bored & what ADHD is.

I know kids who had to stop taking adderall ir because it kept them up all night (their md diagnosed & treated them). I had a neurologist tell me I didn't have ADHD Inattentive because I felt weird on Ritalin & fell asleep on it.... Adderall is preferred for inattentive & Ritalin for Hyper/Combined among psychologist. To much Hyperactive influence.

  • i might have this and i got to 25 seconds:L

  • i ont think anybody with ADHD can live through this

  • Pretty sure I have this, but people just think I'm making excuses for being lazy! But I work really hard! Is it possible to be diagnosed, even as an adult?

  • wow this video is long. heh. It's useful but I pretty much just skimmed through it because it kinda bored me.

  • Is it bad I only got 30 seconds into this before i wandered off into other tabs? Concentrating is stressful >-|

  • I could have sworn its more prevalent in males.

  • @Psychomatician ADHD on a whole is more prevalent in males, but this subtype (inattentive) is not. furthermore, it may also be a subjective bias about teachers reporting males more often than females in a classroom setting (more likely to be disruptive) and therefore getting the actual diagnosis.

  • @a1d2h and when it comes to doing things, a lot of the times I have to force myself to just get it done, so it'll be done. And force myself to stay on task.

  • @a1d2h When I read your comment, it seemed almost like I wrote it myself. I mean, I am exactly the same way as you are. I am 25, been an uphill climb with ADD, don't feel it is always good to take drugs (especailly mind altering drugs, I am leary of). But I have tried to manage it by staying organized (with a PDA).. without it I don't know what I would do, I call it my brain. It has calendar, notes, alarm clock, just about everything I need to keep me on tasks and a decently organized schedule.

  • I feel like someones trying to sell me something.

  • Hey makers of this video..Answer me on this. Does a 20 year old with this ADD act 12 and a 30 year old act 16 and a 40 year old act 22 and a 50 year old act 25? Waaaaay behind on mind maturity? Please answer.

  • thanks for the info it really did help me but you talk so SLOW! im gonna take a nap now this was so boring it made me tired.

  • watching this video has just made me lose my attention span .....yaawwnn..

  • Like this if you became bored during this video

  • Does a girl with ADD mature in the mind slower than one without? Like she acts half her age? Will standing on the head help the neuotransmitters? Will Omega 3s help also? Are additives bad for ADD? What are the neurotransmitters doing in a hyper person but not in a hypo person? Are stimulents or amphetamines better for inattentive type vs hyperactive type? Is there proof that it exists?

  • @Vegheadsrock For your first question, no.

  • Good video. This subtype is under recognised and may be related to hyposomnia I have read?

We need also to focus more on 'residual' ADHD and ADHD in adults. Medication is good but must always be used with caution.

  • 2 hours to do homework? It takes me all day! LOL

  • @Thedailyorgy Housework has always been my biggest A.D.D. challenge too. How do others get it done so quickly I always wonder.

  • @Thedailyorgy I agree well kind of.... I usually spend an hour on the homework the rest doing something like watching a documentary, staring at my work, and blah blah blah....Yet driving at 90 miles an hour in pouring rain is not a problem at for me and I actually drive far better driving fast than driving slow.

60mg of Adderall = Problem not as bad

Ritalin = Falling asleep while paranoid

  • @Thedailyorgy me 2

  • I am trying to find a web with all the drugs for this. Is there one? Any new ones? Anyone heard of Didrex for Add?

  • @Vegheadsrock yes the stuff im on is vyvanse, there is nO WAY TO ABuse it like ritalin ANd other drugs, anD IT IS 90% EFFETIVE :O

  • @oerwwssf44 Do you get a speedy effect at all? Why is there no way to abuse it? Is your life better?

  • After bad experiences with meds and only partial help with supplements I tried Vaxa Attend. It is really helping! However, I personally need to give up sugar & additives, & most milk, corn & wheat products, too. I find that if I take some caffeine powder in flavored water and sip on it when I feel a loss of energy, it helps me really keep going, while Attend helps me focus. I have to take 4 pills of Attend a day. It worked for me in hours, though for some it takes a month or so.

  • @LoricaLady Vaxa works Huh? Better than amphetamines, would you say? Does it get rid of that Under arousal feeling that goes with the inattentive type? Do you stop daydreaming? Can you clean house on it? How long does it take to work? Thanks for anything here you can answer.

  • @Vegheadsrock I have not tried amphetamines. I did try Ritalin - horrible stuff, & Statera - also horrible stuff. I would not say Vaxa is "the answer" just helpful. It worked pretty fast for me, though some report a month or so to see an effect. You just have to try it because what works for one will not work for another always. You can start decreasing the dosage in a month or two which is good 'cause it is pricey. I think detox is essential along with organic foods, also cod liver oil.

  • Thanks for such a thorough explanation of symptoms. Are you talking about me?! :)

I'm struggling in school even tho I take Adderall. I just completed my third semester of a 3-year MFA program. Year one: (3) As, (3) -As. Semester three: B, C, F. I'm on the verge of dropping out because I can't keep up with the pace. Any recommendations for (free or very cheap) resources? Thanks! AJ

p.s. Please note that the PowerPoint slides are not legible. It might be the video compression.
