Indian Summer Sky is just raw creative genius. It just hits the right place in your soul and is one of those creative high points, markers that I put up there right along side songs like Please.
Why old U2 songs sound so much better live the on album? This songs sounds like shit on Unforgettable fire compared to this live version. And the War album! Listen War and then listen live versions... fucking producers!
some good sounds here, but also a bit rough around the edges, with a little more work this could have been a good song. Although I think 'Wire' sounds like a slightly better version of this song.
Its too bad they pulled this from their set before playing it very much. They must have felt it didnt work out right or something.Of course i was too young to see them on this tour anyway.Back around this time i was still into breakdancing and stupid shit like that, lol.
I saw The Unforgettable Fire Tour. 4 shows and they never played this one. My (well one of my favs) fav on the album. I always wanted to see them play it live. So jealous that someone else got to see it. Great post.
Anyone who listens to this song and thinks U2 isn't cool needs a fucking hearing aid.And anyone who thinks U2 ISN'T COOL ANYMORE needs a brain because the reality is an artist can never stay the same,as people grow & mature so does the musical vision. They are one of the few rock bands today that aren't afraid of growing up and changing, they aren't afraid of writing songs about "love",God and Life. For that reason they are still cool and have more balls than a lot of other bands today.

@crazylikeafool .i couldnt have put it any better myself.i hope bobo makes a speedy recovery from his back injury.long live u2.many copy but never equaled
@crazylikeafool They may still be cool (Well, U2 were never 'cool'), but, bar the lead-off singles, the last three albums have been SHIT. & I say that as a fan.
@NoblyRotten Completely agree. U2 are lacking in the creative department if u ask me. Using Daniel Lanois and Brian Eno over the past few years has set them back. Rick Rubin brought out something good with them a few years back. They should have stuck with his creative input and made an album. Instead they shelved that project and went to where all was familiar. Don't get me wrong, I believe Daniel Lanois and Eno have great minds. Bono & the Edge not so much. Btw I have been a fan since 1984...
@crazylikeafool Amen brother! its cool to knock U2 these days but ive loved em since 84, seen them in 87 and 2005 and they just keep turning out fantastic songs and putting on proper bigger and better tours.
Love this like I love that song and you know and thogh no one told you how and you found out that you were going to be through with me in your hear are are are are hear are are are are ar e re hyptnorizing .I need more u2 music how about some fun I know vertigo temple bar mix. luv it its wild and really really moving and gobsmacking too.
It's such an introspective album -- it sounds like they had to pull back and regroup(literally) after overextending themselves with War, and just before overextending themselves again with the next album.
I only listen to Unforgettable when I'm in that mood too: transitional, slightly sad, slightly brooding, wondering what just happened and where I'm headed.
"Promenade" and "Indian Summer Sky" are my favorite -- it's a treat to hear "Indian" live again. thanks for uploading it!
bleuroo - I agree with you regarding listening to the "fire" as in going in to the heart and mind with the music... when desiring to explore the soul... mesmirizing!
It´s so great to listen the live version of this song. I wish they could go on a tour and play only those musics they seldom perform: ultraviolet, indian summer sky, the playboy mansion, trip through your eyes, miami, babyface, a man and a woman, and many others...
i love this song and the whole album THE UNFORGETTABLE FIRE
