  • Male or female, there is NO MC out there who's better than JG. People like Nicki Minaj got ahead by selling sex.....sex sells.

  • Thats My story ..

  • Wow, as soon as that beat dropped I was hooked!

  • only 15,000 views!? wow! that shows you how the mainstream got this hip hop culture fu*Ked up!

  • I bet half of the people listening to this song dont understand what its about

  • Jean Grae is t00 ill

  • whats the original sample??

  • shout out to JG. deep track, i feel it! real shit ... really had to sit down for this track.

  • DOOOOPE ISH!!! LOVE IT!!

  • jeanius is right

  • Would people consider this music indie?

  • 27 yrs old with three kids i never met...that line hit me the most.

  • Heartbreaking, in your face, and real. Why in the HELL is Nicki Minaj more popular than her? Sad state of music. We need more Jean Grae's

  • @TheKirakira36 because nicki minaj represents POP culture not HIP HOP culture...

  • EXCATLY! THAT NICKI MINAJ BITCH IS A DUMB BITCH!

  • @kosolo1988 listen to autobiography by nicki minaj. she actually has a similar story to jean's. don't judge her by what society has changed her into. there is another side of her

  • @TheKirakira36 cuz the world don't wanna hear the truth

  • "It takes along time to become young". my bad. props. ;-)

  • deep

  • See this is what the game has been missing! A female MC with introspection!

Tackling issues! This track about abortion, is thought provoking!

  • Jean Grae is just one of the coldest lyricst of all time. Female or Male MC's. People please listen to her lyrics. Just SICK!!!!!

  • Jean Grae is not one of the greatest female rappers of all time.....She's one of the greatest MC's of all time. That's a title more deserved.

  • @MaSoisSoful

Giving Someone the title of beeing the best of his profession (whos the best MC) is impossible. Not only because there are such different directions of Hip-Hop, but also because there are so much unknown or unfamous (female) Rappers.

I consider Jean Grae a great She-MC, but there are others that could compete with here easily, such as: Apani B, Hurricane G, Bahamadia for instance...

  • I hear where you're coming from, but what I said was, she is ONE of the best MC's. I didn't say she is the best MC.

  • JEAN IS THE TRUTH

  • This shit right here makes u think about life in itself.... All that materialism shit... It won't matter after listening to this deep cut from that album.... See Major Labels keep giving bullshit artist thier shine instead of pushing the ones who got it and have that real shit in em.... Shit is sad man

  • @renglish80 bullshit to u is gold to somebody else. Reember that. Life does not revolve around your thoughts. No shade but damn people kill me with these notions. Music is universal not one dimensional.

  • when the rain comes down.

  • dope track..

  • if ppl dont listen 2 lyrics thne who r we and anyone who knows this music.

  • Putting this type of stuff out would do more to deter abortion than abstinence education and restrictive laws. Teenagers want the truth, not a fake protective bubble and an iron fist.

  • actually it wouldn't do anything. people these days don't listen to lyrics, they just listen to the beats behind them. people don't wanna think when they listen to music, they just wanna nod their heads and sing along like brain-dead monkeys. which is why Jean Grae and every other underground artist will never get their chance in the spotlight, unless they sell out.

  • I agree with that, but if real thoughtful art was promoted in our country instead of just mindless escapism, we would have more conscious teenagers and people in general.

I think people are pushed by the media to consume and escape the reality of the workday just to wake up and keep on working. The masses are more controllable when they are preoccupied with survival and mind numbing gluttony.

  • well unfortunately thoughtful music doesn't sell, and since mainstream media is a business then they'll only put out what sells, which, unfortunately, is crap.

  • she goes hard this hip hop she on topic she tell story a lot of the rappers dont know how to do that

  • just too cool

  • One of the sikkest beats I've ever heard....And the lyrics display a mind frame that suggests a maturity growth that lead to a realization.....Jean needs to show some of these wack ass rappers how to rap....Word!!!!

  • Hell of a track

  • Good track. Too real for the kiddies.

  • @jpeek345 oh yea, i'm 16. REAL HIP HOP!

  • @jpeek345 im 15 love this ....tired of you grown folks thinkin all youngins like the same commercial shit...nah theres still youngins that aint deaf out here..
