  • i use tails to block attacks XD

  • The animation graphics on the advert part (not the Megadrive gameplay part) are a bit like Sonic Generations lol. Does this mean that Japan has had Sonic Generations since 1992 LOL???

  • i wish i was in japan

  • I somehow wish the loop-de-loop parts in the newer games would just follow Sonic like in this commercial instead of zooming out right before and zooming in right after a loop-de-loop, I think it would add a lot to the speedy feeling...Or it could just cause motion sickness and people puking all over their consoles though.

  • at 0:13, tails is running on thin air, its a twirl section yet he runs like he is on the ground?!?!

  • Dude what the HELL was that First Game they showed? I wanna play That Shit.

  • Oooh maaaan!!!!! What a Wonderful Game!!! Oohh... I lost my childhood! Gime my 12 years old again! :'-(

  • Sonic The Hedgehog 2!Welcome To Sonic Land!

  • Sonikku za hejihogu 2! I love these Japanese adverts.

  • My dad never bougth me Sonic 2 I begged it for months! btw Tails looks very cute lol.

  • I'm told that SEGA scream (which many people first heard on the first Sonic game) actually dates back to 1983 -- from a commercial for their SG-1000 console.

  • That's not the Sega scream, but otherwise you'd be right.

  • SEGA

  • welcome to sonicland!!!!

  • Wow imagine if there was a Sonic 2 game in 3d like the advert.

  • @Chacanger

    > See Sonic X-Treme.

  • Yeah, that never got finished though. Shame : \

  • @Chacanger

That would've been the only Saturn-exclusive Sonic game ever made. :/

  • WELCOMURO TO SAWNEEK LAND!

  • I can't understand a word they-

    "WELCOME TO SONICLAND"

    Well OK then.

  • It's in Japanese..... : l

  • @RedCancer i know that. i was simply making fun of the fact that they made the entire video in Japanese but then made a part of it in English. What is the point, it's not like the Japanese are going to know what was said.

  • Aaawwsss...

I love Sonic 2! And this Ad is so adorable! x3

  • WHELCUM TOO SAWNKEEK LAYND!

  • 0:10 advertiser says "Ah, no sonic crap!" XDD

  • lol

  • LOL I can't believe I just noticed that! Cheers for pointing that out! XD

  • welcome to sonic land!

  • Actually, it's more like

    WERUKOMU TOO SOWNEEKLLLAND

  • I watched this and thought it'd be great if there was a game just like those 3D sections. Looks like lots of other people had the same idea ;)

  • SONIC 2: Welcome to sonic land

  • I think they thinking about sonic on 3d

  • What if they used this concept of graphics in a sonic game? 2D characters and badniks with 3D background.

  • now THIS is what I call a commercial!

  • The Japanese always put more effort into their Sega commercials and made them more appealing than the American ones.

  • Now THIS is what the 3D games should have tried to go for...Well done! But then again, most Japanese video game commercials are far superior to their American counterparts...

  • when effort was put into commericals

  • 'Welcome to sonic land' lol

  • dam tose were the days

  • A time when commercials were actually good. Wow.

  • The 3D portion of this commercial looked better than the 3D Sonic games we have now! Sega should learn from this video!

  • They have such awesome commercials >>

  • "Welcome to Sonic Land, bitches!"

  • "welcome to sonic land!" nice

  • Wow, youtube really killed this video with their crappy compression. :| If anyone has the original video and wouldn't mind sending me it, I can upload it in higher quality.

  • This has to be the best game in the Sega Mega Drive

  • That was amazing. =D

  • They should definately make a 3D Version of this game nowadays.

  • Fuck no way they shouldn't

The 3D sonic games ruined the franchise if anything, the orignal trio was the best of all of them

  • dude you wouldnt wanna see a game like shown in this preview? that would be sick!

  • @sonicfan123: It would be interesting if they did recreate Sonic 1, 2, 3&K and CD into 3D correctly. I wonder how loops would be done, would it be possible to fly off the side of the top of a loop and would there be no more accelerators on the floor to help you through loops? And 3D corkscrews with full control throughout them!? *drools over 3D corkscrews*

  • their making a 2 and a 1/2 D think for the new one. It looks good, i think ^_^

  • This commercial reminds me alittle bit of sonic and the secret rings.

  • man, japan's commercials are always the best

  • Amazing how they had somewhat 3D back then.

  • No they did but they made it not as noticeable though. =]

  • Thats was the best sonic game

  • that would be so awsome if sonic games were like that

  • they are like that, like Sonic Heores, 3D game

  • yes its true, they're relli good with commericals cus the Americans try to focus on the comedy and try to get a few laughs with it while the Japaneese go stright to the point and are relli serious with it

  • you sure about that? check out the japanese sonic adventure commercials

  • Haha Oh god.

  • american video game commercials made no sense. while it's

the same in japan, it's less so.

  • yeps seems to have been taken from sonic jam in me eye lol

  • yeah i agree, its pretty good for a 1992 advert XD

  • The Japanese commercials have always been better than ours. :P
