HELL YEAH I remember this one! This was THE Pepsi commercial of my generation, definitely the most popular one aired around here during my childhood. The MJ kid is Alfonso Ribeiro (who later went on to play Will Smith's cousin in "Fresh Prince"). Man, I SO remember this. This is the first time I've seen this commercial in over 20 years - and it STILL gave me goosebumps. Thanks for the memories. :)

The reason his skin is white is because he has a rare skin disease called Vitiligo, which destroys the pigmentation of the skin. If you don't believe me, look it up. If you search for "Michael Jackson Vitiligo" on YouTube, you will find a video that shows pictures of Michael Jackson with Vitiligo. You can clearly see the white blotches of skin on his face and hands. There's no way bleaching your skin could make you that white.
