  • @mydominicansalon Quick Q? The Blow dryer/steam dryer looks very hot! I have natural hair. Will you hair revert back easily, afterwards? Or does it affect curl pattern? Beautiful results bTw! :)

  • i need to find a dominican salon in la. such good work! what kind of blowdryer is this?

  • @3:22 - 4:08 NICE get those edges!! Turns out very well~

  • wow i wnna hve my hair dne like thaa i probz hve to go london

  • ok, quick questions...... i will blindly assume that the ady in the chair is African-American. (sorry if shes not) Now, before all the the work was done, had she had a relaxer in her hair, or is she natural? Next, how long does one visit usually take and what are the price ranges? Does the cost vary by hair length and texture and is it best to make an appointment or are walk-ins welcomed?

    -

i am a recent relaxed woman and i have friends that go to Dominican shops, but they wont share info.

  • Does this method help the hair to grow??

  • yal need a salon in Ohio ...Mansfield Ohio specifically

  • its not the blowers, or the flat iron, or relaxers,or the rollers, its the hands on experience.

  • HOLD UP... this girl doesn't have a perm??! :-o

  • this is super!!

  • we didnt get to see how it turned out

  • I'm GLAD she is in GA. I might just visit this salon...

  • Great video and technique! I need to learn how to roller set and that would be half the battle! LOL. I used to stretch my relaxers for four months when I was living close to a Dom. salon. I had the longest hair in my life following this method. I miss my Dom. salons.

  • I recently heard about this method (Dominican Blowouts). After I watched the video its the same technique done by Egyptians in Chicago...Natural hair becomes bone straight.

  • Wow, how she's able to get ethnic hair this straight without a flat iron or a relaxer is amazing to me! Can you PLEASE do mine? I'm still relaxing my hair. Help me!

  • @EricaYE6 The girl's hair wasn't that bad when she was roller setting it actually but I'm sure you could get the same result if your hair is relaxed.

  • @EricaYE6 The girl has a relaxer in her hair.

  • what is the steam coming out of the blowdryer...and what is she putting on her hair...we all dont have the opportunity for a blow out...would love to know the products used!!!!

  • @misslou57

You just answered your own question. Steam.

And she just put a shining gloss. Your typical silicone serum, offers heat protection and shine, etc. It's the technique that makes the style, not JUST the products.

  • Is this considered a "Full blowout" of just one at the roots?

  • I LOVE going to the dominicans!! But I hate when thes start using the blow dryer because there is alot of heat! and it burns! but in the end it is ALL worth it!

  • What product is that she put on the hair prior to blow drying it? Also, what type of blow dryer is it and what are the specs?

  • I wanna get my hair done by a Dominican! lol but I can't find a salon were I live =/

  • looks really godod! keep up the good work!

  • Understand, they are very FEW opportunities in the DR for women. One of the few opportunities are in doing hair. For that reason, they are masters at it.

  • @palmares77 yep and I learned from them

  • dominicans are tha only stylist I've seen do hair with long nails and lots of rings on ...and tha hair still comes out nice..!!!they are tha business!!

  • @BrittneyChristina lol u must not go to a lot of salons_ i see it done frequently_it has to do with their ability to do hair_not their ethnicity

  • i love the way she eases up on the hair tips tho

  • woooow I WANT ONE NOW . is this good for the hair tho . like is it better than a press ?

  • Can this be preformed on an afro? Like I have never had a perm....

  • @queenxriddle yep...there another video on here with a woman who has natural hair. Same results.

  • its really qwesome, like the saloons in dubai

  • omg u ppl r lame this is supposed to be a video promoting dominican hair salons and u turn it into a freakin racial debate!

  • That looks really good!

  • What iron is she using here ? I mean what blowdryer ?

  • Does anyone know of a Dominican hair salon in the Seattle area?

  • i love the way dominicans do hair..their the best!!

  • i wonder if her hair is relaxed or natural....and i also wonder what type of texture she has. if its like 4a or b...and its not relaxed then ill forget about relaxing my hair and get it done like this.!!

  • Beautiful hair

  • The client has lovely hair

  • @R3alTa1k

Yeah, her hair looks thick and pretty long.

  • i just realized that that's the exact place i went to. I met that lady too! (although she didn't speak much english...she was really nice because the other lady translated for me)

  • even me being a guy whos not gay loves thiss!!! I want to get my hair done at this place!! where is it located???is it in NYC???

  • even me being a guy whos not gay loves thiss!!! I want to get my hair done at this place!! where is it located???is it in NYC???

  • The hair dresser is voluptous!!!

  • Too cute.

  • Nice Video

Whats the name of the last song playinq?

  • I went to a Dominican salon last saturday! OMG THEY ARE GOOD!! MY hair is really really thick and coarse!! AFRO!! I couldn't even get a comb through it! It would break the teeth, but man, my hair is so silky soft!! Its so beautiful I could cry!! I GOTTA GET ME ONE OF DEM POWERFUL BLOWDRYERS!! That thing was hot steam came out of it! They are amazing!!

  • @xXTearsXHeartXx is this place in nyc??

  • @xXTearsXHeartXx ware did yew go cuz the one closest to me is the one in atlanta i think and i have natural hair no perm and i am13

  • can someone PLEASE!!!!! tell me the name of that blow dryer that she is using

  • @mrsleyah i dont know the brand name but a beautician told me for these they use turbo powered or something.

  • whats that a straightener and blow dryer in 1? if so i need one of those lol

  • Does this girl really have natural hair? Unbelievable. This is amazing.

  • Why is it unbelievabe? because she is black??? Black peoples hair grows just like everyone else's her hair prob has not been processed therefore it is healthy.

  • Thank you!

  • Where is the salon located being shown in this video?? If NYC, where at?

  • her hair looks all soft !! lol

  • This is freakin amazing lmao. But really i love going to the dominicans for my hair, they always know exactly what their doing.

  • i totally agree last Thursday i went it was my first time and i had amazing results my mom is focusing on training my hair now

  • can someone tell me what a blow out is in general. i'm confused. is it the sme as blow drying your hair?

  • looks very pretty.....i live in NYC and im a dominican hair salon addict...i must say tho they are much faster when blowing your hair out up here plus they curl the ends with the brush as there blowing it...and my stylist doesnt apply that much heat, which i love cus im not cringing in my chair like head is on fire

  • I DNT GET WHAT THA BIG DEAL IS?

  • i don't know why it is called a dominican blowout. i'm sure i have seen and been to all kinds of other salons where they do this. my sister used to have her hair blown out like this every once in a while when she wanted it straight for a change from afro without having to relax it..don't know how many days it lasts tho..it's probably all gone in the morning, or at least well on it's way to reversing back to curly, esp if it's humid weather or you've been in a steamy shower.

  • @airbrushedhottie ...its normally called just called a "blow out" but the technique the domincans use is how they took the name.depending on what type of hair u have the heat is enough sometimes too much for very fine hair.

  • maybe the looser 3c curls and straighter can get away with doing this as routine to keep their hair in a straight style, but even if your hair is thick, healthy and strong anyone with 4a or 4b can not get away with doing this everyday i'm guessing..and the effect doesn't last..it reverts easily and almost immediately to afro texture again..i can't imagine it lasting even half way thru a week with cool, non-humid weather and triple shower capping your hair and bathing on cold water for no steam.

  • @airbrushedhottie thats exactly what i was thinking because my hair starts to grow at the first signs of humidity

  • @airbrushedhottie It's called the dominican blowout bc its specialized for afro textured hair. They do similar blow outs in white salons, but it doesn't take as much technique bc the hair is straight. With the dominican technique I have seen them take really course hair, and only with a dryer make it straight and curled at the bottom (looks like a wrap). It lasts through humid weather here in florida, but after you sweat it out (like if you really work out or get it on w your man lol) its done.

  • I go to a dominican salon now and Love it.!

  • i love how the dominicans do there blow but sometimes they dont put enough heat protectant

  • Wouldnt work for my hair...

  • anyone can learn this technique on themselves all it takes it patience and lots of practice. I usually go to the DR salon if I am being lazy to do my own hair which is maybe 3 times a year. I strictly allow them to do only wash and sets. I have been to many salons and none of them can do a perm correctly. All of them apply the perm from root to tip which causes over processing and serious damage. But they do know how to give a great blow out.

  • wow...what an awesome job!!!

  • I honestly believe latinas give the best blowouts ever. I had my hair washed and blown out in a Venezuelan salon and the stylist used a technique very similar to what this woman is doing. It was the best my relaxed hair has ever looked. I'm mixed race (from the caribbean) with long hair and when she was done it was light and full of shine. I've been longing to return to Venezuela just to get my hair done. lol.

  • OMG after they ran that blow dryher through my hair it was down my back! I love them

  • What kind of blowdryer do you use?

  • do you have to be dominican to have a dominican blow out

  • lol no u dont have to be dominican

  • no thats just what its called cuz dominicans do it

  • definitely not but they are mostly the only types of salon that do blow outs

  • does anybody knw wht she was rubbing on her hair/ what she sprayed in it?

  • It looked like Keracare Silken Seal bottle to me...I'm willing to be that's what it was

  • damn this reminds me i need to get my hair done asap...

  • @drzsexistmami Me too girl...One of the first things I'm gonna do when I get a job again is get a trim!

  • oooh her hair is so cute

  • unlike your nappy head

  • wow thank god for hairstylists, i wish i could get my hair like this.

  • this video is fascinating really....i love 2watch and seeing that people love their crown of glory!

  • She rolled it in curls, only to blow dry it straight. Why?

  • to let the hair dry. drying it with the blow dryer is not good for your hair(when dripig wet)

  • healthy hair is good hair!

  • to keep the body

  • i was at a domonican salon getting myy hair curled w/ rollers [ im white ] and there were many women w/ ethnic hair getting these blowouts and there was aloooottt of heat being applied to their hair . so i was thinking to myself i hope the lady put some heat protection in that girls hair !

  • i think she did. but i understand where you are coming frm.

  • agreed

  • Is that Mana playing in the Background? Or El Tri? Or neither. haha

  • thats not heat coming from her hair...its steam

  • is it me, or does the hair already look pretty straight after she takes the rollers out?? looked nice and shiny already, why blow dry it more and everything? I thought it was done lol but i also hear they use ALOT of heat in dominican blow outs!

  • @CamilaRox11 I completely agree! Lol

  • i agree but some ppl enjoy the super straight look.

  • They do, unless you tell them to ONLY blow out your roots! I never let them put heat on my ends when I get Dominican Blow outs.

  • my mom isthe same way only blow out the roots if shes post relaxer. other wise nope.

  • @CamilaRox11 yeah that's true they do, i guess because they're mostly natural but the hair is so thick and curly it takes a lot to get it bone straight. But the lady in this video did well w/ the heat i think, she focused it on her edges & roots which the roller set can't straighten

  • @CamilaRox11 It's still wavy. The girls want it pin straight, that's why.

  • @CamilaRox11 The Rollerset is to lift the roots and to give the hair massive shine and the blow dryer is to make it straigh..so over all its not one flat stif style..you can also do the Doobie (wrap) to make it straight with out the heat

  • @CamilaRox11

Because, the rollers are just meant to loosen the texture.

The Blow Dryer is supposed to give you a sleeker style. The rollers alone give TOO much volume. And if you want that much volume, don't relax your hair. ;)

  • What kind of blowdryer is that?

  • man I wish she would do my hair :( lol it takes me forever

  • wow i never seen a dominican blow dry hair starting at the top before... overall it came out really nice..

  • can you send me a msg letting me know which products was used on the blowout please and thank you

  • Oh my god. that is wonderful. i wish i can do that to my clients instead of a flatiron. that blow dryer must be super hot. really Wonderful!

  • its all about the round brush tecnique. but you do need a powerful blow dryer.

  • thnx

  • fabulouso!

  • Really enjoyed this - i wanna be back in states - NY like i was last year for hols; went to a great dominican salon! wish i could take a bus right now from london and be back there! very good hairstylists....... sooooooo jealous!!

  • whattttt that looks so good.

  • dominican women age well

  • You think Dominican women age well? Honey, that is the African in them that keeps them young looking!

  • I never said it wasnt! I love Dominican women

  • sooooooooooooooooooo true!!!!!!!!!!!!! 75 percent of Dominicans are afrcan descent.

  • Try 110%. Just because you all call them white do not mean they are of European decent. Being called white in Latin America has a totally different meaning than the REST OF THE WORLD. I have never seen a dominican who did not have African blood. Also, the lightest blacks I have seen from ALL OVER THE WORLD are African Americans. There are countless thousands living down South. So, show me a Dominican that look more white than them.

  • @almondy1963 Yessss baby!!

  • @almondy1963 its not really only the african darling.. its also the taino blood that still lingers within.

  • @almondy1963 black don't crack honey I know that's the truth! :D

  • @almondy1963 Dominican and African American women age very well lol like you said its the African in them.

  • this is so beautiful..how long does this last and do i need a perm

  • no u dont need a perm to get a blow out. theres a video on here with a lady with natural hair who got a blow-out. her hair looked like wool at first lol. then it looked permed after her blow-out.

  • I haven't had the luxury of going to a salon in so long. It just looks so relaxing!!

  • they r the best @ blowin out hair.

  • I agree. I am not Hispanic, but when I want a GOOD blow out I know who to go too LOL!

  • muy buen trabajo :)

  • whAT IS THE WHITE CREME?????

  • razac -perfect for perms

  • The girl getting her hair done...Does she have naturally good hair??? Or does she get her hair permed??

  • What on earth is 'naturally good hair?!!!'

  • i want to straighten my natural hair so i can cut all the dead hair off. Would it damage my hair? i've had my ends clip and i don't think she did a good job because my hair wasn't straight and it feels uneven.

  • well no much heat could always damage your hair, just protect it with something. i say go for it.

  • Her hair looks straight as it is. THe chick is removing the curve that was in her hair at the shaft when the rollers were taken out as well as making it bone straight. Why? Her hair is very beautiful as it is with the great body shine and length. So what's the point? Is it yet not good eough as it is?

  • i know but some ppl like the straight look.

  • Comment removed

  • i would of left it after the rollers also ,but dominicans know what they are doing.

  • her hair is lovely done but personally I would have left it like it was after the rollers were taken out.

  • I am growing my perm out and going natural. I will be trying this with some Mizani Thermasmooth products to see what happens. I hope my local Dominican shop blow out is like this. If not Snellville is only 40 minutes from me.

  • yes i would recommend that and gradually clip off the relaxed ends.

  • :26 i would have left my hair just like that

  • This vid would be more helpful if we could see start to finish. This inbetween footage is nice but does she have natural hair or is she transitioning?

  • ahi diodmio pero aki son brutas ohhhh kkkkkkkk solo dije que la tipa se le ve que tiene un pelito malitooooo i que la senora hace un buen trabajo truyas de bobas

  • Yeah I would have liked to seen her roots first. but i know when i go i needed a touch serious but mami made that thing straight and my behind to go get a touch up lol

  • How can anyone tell if she has nappy hair or not? They didn't show it before it was rolled up so she might have a perm in it already. Either way, it looks good.

  • listen sweety im not ben racist at all if anything im puertorican just simply i just sayed that the girl looks like she haves bad hair and the other lady did a good job

  • wtf?.. how does her hair look bad?

    smh, you are so ignorant..

  • your dumb!!!!! there is nothing wrong with her hair.

  • tengo una pregunta me hice un frio hace como 2 months y quieria saber si me puedo pasa un relaxer porque no me gusto como me queda y en houston there are no dominican salons?

  • wow it looks realy nice becuase no offence the girl looks like she got nappy aass hair but it looks realy nice mai tienees un don donde es tu beauty pa pasar por aya

  • no...she doesn't look like she has nappy hair at all; don't be racist just because she's black..

nappy hair is hair that can't absorb water; the texture of hers, OBVIOUSLY can..

    stop being so ignorant.

  • dat gurl got sum nice hair

  • I agree dat it does damage ur hair overtime if u dont treat it. U have to know how to properly take care of ur hair and different stuff to use while using heat products. All of this was necessary bcuz of humidity. Once she leaves da salon and if its humid outside, she`ll end up right where she began.

  • QUICK Question: Why is she blow drying already "DRY" hair?????!!! Just a question!!!

  • I think it's because it straightens out the hair even more.

  • Comment removed

  • that's what a domincan blowout is

  • it straightens the roots... its no worse than flat ironing the hair (which cooks the hair)

  • yes blow out gets the roots straight so yall nappy niggas could have straight hair.

  • You sound ignorant, I feel sorry for you. Invest in a good book.

  • whatever! why because i speak the truth?

  • why are accusing trinica shes only telling the truth stop being rude. Why dont u read a book

  • irrelevant.

  • @trinicadeem the way you speak, your mind must be very small, sometimes its good to keep hurtful words to yourself....the only reason ppl respond to racist comments is bc , you actually dont know who they are..Its about hair and blow outs not small minded ppl saying hurtful words.. ppl should be careful on how they speak you never know who your talking too!! remember that!! I

  • yes her hair does need all of the extra work. if you have hair like that then u would understand y.

  • im sure that lady just rubbed a bunch of heat protector in homegurls hair so i think its safe enough !

  • Whats the best type of blow dryer to use for a dominican blow out?

  • Does anyone know if there is any of those salons in the indidnapolis area? if you do, please tell me.

  • If you have natural hair, most people can tell if
