I have a 2010 GT Auto with 3.31's What should I do if I want to run 13 index with it(Ideal time 13.00) ? Do you think lower control arms, SCT X3, K&N panel, remove the grill and fogs, take the spare, jack and lid out of the trunk, removing the engine cover (for heat) and an Aluminum drive shaft along with the pypes muffler deletes (for weight redux and a little power) that I have on there now will be enough? I don't want to do anything that will be hard to put back if I need warantee work done.
Way to represent! I just ran 13.758@106.247 with my completely stock 2010 Mustang 5 speed. This was my first day at a drag strip ever and I did not know when to start. My reaction time was .8 seconds waiting until after the green light and even guys I beat in the other lane were about .3.
@bigmax88 It was more than a decade ago. It was 15 years ago was the last year. I had a 1995 5.0 in the new body and afer that year they no longer made it.

You Ford guys are funny when you say that. lol The 5.0 modular will still lack the displacement of the GM cars. They will compete against the LS3 F-bodies stock for stock but once the modding starts it will become lopsided again. :-)
@N20LT4 you know, I'm definately not a Mustang guy. I have a heads/cam trailblazer ss, and have friends with LS cars.. but you know, there is a video of a full bolt-on 2010 Mustang lifting both front tires off the ground with radials... thats damn impressive

@N20LT4 Not really... the 5.0 is DOHC and is running circles around the much bigger GM engines. Shelby already has a 620 hp super charged 5.0... thats only 18 horses short of the 120,000$ ZR1.

I have a 2010 GT premium. Completely stock with 3.73 gears a glass roof and HIDs. This car is tremendous! I love it, but i haven't run it at a track because the engine needs to be broken in, but I wouldn't doubt if it ran in the low 13s. Good run man!

Yea lower control arm, the fog light removed because that is where the intake box is. The car still had the factory air filter, street tires, and the stock 3.73's. Awesome driver. Car just went 11.96 last month on full slicks and more mods but still stock longblock.

Yea and they will have an amazing v6 that puts out 300hp and gets 30 mpg from what I hear. And that is from my dad who is a manager at the ranger plant in st. paul minnesota.
they already have a 3.0L Twin turbo eco-boost in another car the V6 wont put out 300 alone, my dad used to be manager at Minnesota then went to NJ then to Missouri which is now closed.

Yea the guy in the G8 had mods done and he didn't believe the Mustang was stock and still beating him. My brother had to take the air filter out to prove it was stock.
@fiveologyjay I have a 2010 Mustang GT and ran 13.397 stone stock with no mods at Great Lakes Dragaway in Wisconsin, so yes the 2010s are very capable cars. Was this your brother driving? Very impressive 1/4 mile time. What track was this at and what was the temperature?
