  • C'est tout simplement magnifique, ça fait rêver !!! :)

  • woww..I love the rhytm and this put me in a very good mood! Thank you for the share..!

  • Great music and pictures!

  • It all seems just so magical! The music just makes one wish for the cliffs of Ireland to be spread out in front of them. I can just see it all now; the mountains shrouded in clouds and the valleys cloaked in fog in the morning and the fields and streams in the clear, bright sunshine of a summer day. And me crazily chasing some lovely red-headed wench through those fields.

  • woah...this song is AWESOME!

There's alot if Irish in my family, especially on my mom's side. And we've all got the stubborn, tempermental personalities to prove it! XD

    again, awesome song.

  • Epic Irish Song !

  • lól_î_fËêl_sõ_lònély_tØDÃÿ

  • The bodhran sure puts some awesome rhythm in there.

  • Irland, Iceland and alaska are the countrys with the most beautiful nature

  • Cool, cool, cool !!

  • Beautiful indeed...

  • this is my fav piece of music he made

  • It is just amazing how one song can change your prespective on the world

  • David creates some very beautiful pieces. Just curious, is a silkie like a fairy in Irish mythology? Is it a Gaelic word?

  • @vcp430 A silkie is a seal who is human on the inside and seal on the outside. When the silkie sheds its skin it looks and acts like a human.

  • @vcp430 A silkie is a seal who is human on the inside and seal on the outside. When the silkie sheds its skin it looks and acts like a human. Hope that helps. Your need to see the movie called The Secret of Roan Inish.

  • I want to live in Ireland and never come back! Although, Alaska looks beautiful too...

  • I rather enjoy this music. I never heard of David Arkenstone until I read a review recently about Michael Crawford. David was his opening act in 98. If Michael likes him I gotta check it out.

  • @imahaingttia I'm also an avid fan of Michael Crawford. You have good tastes my friend. :3

  • I would also suggest works from Enaid ("Diane" spelled backwards - As in Diane Arkenstone) "Avalon, A Celtic Legend" for some more very well done Celtic performances.

  • Does anyone know which kind of flute is used here ?

  • @Khalid707

The "flute" used here is a penny whistle in the key of "C" (most likely - as that is what I was able to play this piece on with a minimum of half tones.). This is a traditional Celtic Instrument with a 2-octave range.

  • @Khalid707

Correction to the previous. It is a D whistle. Note that a penny whistle is not properly a flute as it uses a fipple instead of a blow-hole. Also it is a keyless instrument with six holes to control the pitches, meaning that one gets the half tones by partially uncovering on of the holes. One gets the second octave by merely blowing harder into the whistle. Unlike a recorder, it does not have a hole in the underside of the instrument to get the 2nd octave.

  • Absolutely amazing!

  • they were very loyal to the people they picked to keep them they loved the humans(some of them loved the humans)

  • I've never heard about him, but now, I fell in love with his music ^^

  • This is a really great song. David Arkenstone is a very good musician

  • I wonder what dragons REALLY were, and if it would have been possible to tame them (use as castle watch-dogs?) rather than kill them all off.

  • @libraryjim59 That was kinda random? :D

  • It was a statement made to a comment that has been removed. (I was actually thinking of Anne McCaffrey's "Pern" novels when I replied, but now that "How to train Dragons" is coming out ....)

  • I'm Scottish and Irish on both sides of my family :D It would be cool to be a silkie, but it would suck to run across a kelpie O.o

  • Me gusta mucho y las fotografias, very nice ... the pictures too...

  • Love Irish music...!! lindo, lindo....

  • Wow, just wow!O.O

First, I saw an corgi video, with this music.

  • Spectacular images! Wonderful music. Can't keep my feet still. Thank you for posting this lovely feast for the soul and spirit.

  • soow cute =)

  • This David Arkenstone is simply AMAZING !!!

    I didn't know him... I'm already seduced !

  • X3 I think I've found me a new favorite!

  • It's really a disgrace that soulful, meaningful music such as this goes largely unnoticed by the masses. Look at how few replies this song has gotten!

I guess the majority of today's music has become so bastardized and out of touch with its origins (think MTV's corrupting influence) that it can hardly be called music any longer. And people are just eating it up. :(

Man, I sound like an old geezer pining away for the days of yesteryear! :P

  • I agree completely with you. I´m young and even though I listen to this kind of music, and it´s so wonderful! Most of today´s music is just sound modified with computer programs, it´s so sad and it´s sad to know too, that many of the "artists" that are famous are just famous because of the

  • things they record with a computer, or because of their beauty, etc, they shouldn´t be called artists.. but this, this is beautiful music made by a great artist. Have a great day! THANKS FOR THE VIDEO ARHARDEHADRES!!

  • I'm so happy to hear that! I'm a teenager myself and I am thoroughly disgusted by the corruption of music that people my age listen to. It's really quite sad and horrifying. Popular music today sounds so unnatural and harsh. Not like this, which sounds like a happy flowing river! David Arkenstone is amazingly talented. Thanks for the video, adhardehadres!

  • Good to hear that there are at least a few people with good musical sensibilities left in this world. ;)

Kudos to you for not letting the warping influence of corporate produced pop garbage sway your musical tastes. Not very many people can avoid that. It's subliminal and bloody effective.. you're saturared with it through every medium.

My little sister listens to Justin Timberdouche for crying out loud. :(

Anyway, much respect to you all!

  • Yeah, I agree with all of you.. I'm a teenager, and I can't see how anybody could ever bear to miss out of this kind of enchanting music! I don't see how anybody could enjoy the kind of trash that we have these days... its disgusting! Give me native American, Celtic, or nature music any time of the day!

  • Well Athena I'm 19 and have listened to celtic music since I was 17. I know the feeling of feeling odd due to choice of music. I think that what are generation needs is to chil out. I used to listen to messed up crap. I now am constantly upbeat due to my choice of music

  • What a wise young person you are. I love it all, even the hiphop and rap, but this is what feeds and soothes the soul. See my video response above, for more soothing music.

  • Well geezer or not, you are so right. I wouldn't deprive myself of any type of music, and listen to a broad variety. There's too much to enjoy to miss out on any ofit! See my video response for a soothing old Irish folk song. Even sad tunes were soothing once upon a time!

  • Beautiful music. I love Davird Arkenstone´s music because it´s so powerful and great!

  • This, atlantis and behind walls of stone are my fav songs

  • really beautiful 5 stars for this! arkenstone i just geat! probably the best celtic artist ever
