Nice preview for sure! Crawl has really a lot of text (as any roguelike...) - sounds can do a lot to help important messages get the user's attention! Nice work! Will the developers add this feature when it's finished?

how about using Ultima Online sound tracks? death sound is pretty cool on this game. sword fight, spear fight, mace bashing sounds are really cool too. I think it might make this game look real old school with those sounds.

Thanks for the suggestion! Although I try to use sounds that are closer to public domain, I admit I like trying any appropriate sounds I can find. I'll look in to what you mentioned!

The developers haven't added support for any type of music at this point, but you can always play your own music while playing! A roguelike that does feature music (and sound effects!) that changes depending on your situation is Sangband.

Current are irritating and bad.

Good thing is that with this add-on you will never miss important warnings.

Some sounds could be better sure, but I like the sounds overall.

Biggest complaints---

Death sound, I think it should be something else, maybe death sounds from goldenaxe w00t!?

GOD KILL SOUND-- this can get a little annoying when you have say, vehumut, and every kill makes the explosion SFX.

I hope raydraken updates it more in the future, though still a must have file for any true crawl fan!

Very cool. This will enhance my enjoyment of the game to no end. My only complaint is that some of the sounds are very laserish and sound a bit out of place.

The problem is most of the fighting sounds. I would recommend for blunt weapon sounds, you thunking a baseball bat into a watermelon. I like that sound. You have sound recording software, right?
