Hi im 13 yrs old and i have crazy headaches for hours of the day and stopped for about 20 mins and started to get worse next time and i started to see spirals(i dont do drugs) will the first way work?
@ganesharocks aw thanks very much - been on pills since Wednesday and I think it has finally gone - I was scared Saturday as I was screaming with pain and lost balance - horrid :(
I've had migraine headaches for 7 years now.Just so everyone is aware, migraines and migraine headaches are 2 desperate diagnosis. Instead of these "home remedies" you should contact your doctor first.Handling This on your own is risky..I've had to go to hospital 3 times due to my migraines. Also, when you said the $50 medication was too expensive...If your migraines are supposedly that bad you're insurance would pay.and if they wouldn't pay;you would pursue further legal action...
@ishopp24 Thanks for your comment. I agree you need to work directly with a health care practitioner (I say that in the description). At the time I was prescribed the meds I didn't have insurance. Thankfully I no longer suffer from them.
Now when I suffer from a migraine, the only relief that comes is from self-hypnosis and massage therapy. It's either that or swallow a couple of vicodin pills from my doc. But I'd personally rather not become dependent on a narcotic. Just wanted to share some personal info with you--western medicine isn't the only effective form of treatment out there.
I'm 33 years old and I've been suffering from debilitating migraines since I was about 7 yrs old. I've been poked, prodded, x-rayed, tested for multiple disorders and illnesses, and swallowed bottles and bottles of crap (prescription medication). After dealing with migraines nearly my whole life, and going the doctor/medical route during it, I've concluded that there is NOTHING the medical industry can do to help me. Now, this is me. Your experience could be very different.
@missShylocks Avoid caffeine...use caffeine as a med when the migraine starts to come on. (She;s taking about pills of imitrex. Use peppermint oil on your temples!
i found something that might work for SOME of you, i dont know if it really got a reason to work or that you just have to belive it to make it work, i dont care aslong as it works:P
try searching on youtube for headache relief brainwave and then take "Powerful Headache / Migraine Relief With Isochronic Tones (2.5Hz Delta Waves) - WORKS! "
combine it with some normal music from your computer and u wont get anoyed by the bzzzz, but that might help, it kinda helps for me, try it:)
i do get awful chronic migraines these techniques dont work for me and most meds dont either.im on toradol shots what they use when meds dont work.good luck to you though hope u get releif soon!
im glad i came across this.. i get migraines all the time.. and im wanting to become an actress and i know it would definitely interfere with it! i think my glasses r one thing that gives me migraines cuz i always think its my glasses whenever i have a migraine from doing nothing.. like yesterday after i got home from school around 12, i took a nap till 4 and had my glasses on while getting ready for church, waited for my ride and then got to church and i got a migraine..dont know how it happend
@ActressCari90 Interesting... when was the last time you had your eyes checked? It may be worth looking into. Hope this helps you! And best of luck in your career
@ganesharocks yes i may need to get them checked! and thank you!:)
btw, my glasses arent the only thing that gives me migraines.. its other things like heat, light, sound, stuff like that that gives me migraines.. it sounds like those things just make it worse but it also triggers mine too!
o and this is weird but also being in a place ive never been in before or being around people i dont know, also triggers it!
@ActressCari90 Yep.. all about enviornmental stressors. Hopefully you find some relief. These techniques do work! However, some people will still not find relief from them. Thanks again!
@BlueEyedDerbyGirl98 Thanks for the support, I'm so glad to hear I'm not the only one who gets them for these long period of time, and no one seems to understand if they've never had one before.
Thanks for the upload I got some relief but nothing seems to work it's been 6 days now I'm almost ready for a visit to emerge for a shot of anything :(
@madii768 try toradol a shot of toradol works a miracle for my migraines!check into that it helps when my meds dont aand thats when they give a shot of toradol!it may work for you or may not!good luck!there no fun and im a chronic sufferer!
@TheJurster Sometimes toradol does work I hate that nothing ever fully gets rid of the pain though, it just seems to cover it up for a few hours and then it's back. Unfortunately my come and last the duration of my menstrual cycle... so I know what causes them just not how to cure them! Thanks for the support guys!
@madii768 oh gotcha mine are 24/7 and i went through countless preventive/pain meds for mine.noone knows my cause and now that toradol has worn off of me i have a migraine my dr.does not like me on it everyday.what do you take for your migraines now anything?they are no fun!giid kuck finding somthing that works for you!
same migraine as me, but it starts with those spinning black spots in my eyes, no pain yet, then later my neck hurts, then my head, and then i gotta puke, nonstop.
only thing that works for me ( EVERYDAY ) to go to bed with a wet cold towel on my head.
@modwebby same for me ugh nothing works im on toradol shots right now.i puke nonstop with mine i have gone unresponsive in shock from puking so much and got dehydrated!good luck to you they suck!

@missShylocks Try to eliminate fake sugars from your diet. Splenda, NutraSweet, etc. That stuff is notorious for causing migraines.

A 'silent migraine' is when you have migraine aura and/or symptoms WITHOUT a pounding headache.
