they're on a peaceful mission until someone shoots at the enterprise then it's gloves off. :) At least Kirk shoots back. Picard lets riker give the orders. Sad
@MrHoppers002 I never think of the TARDIS as a "ship" it's really more of a portal to another dimension where the inside is. The interior of the TARDIS is size of a small planet and is powered by a singularity. So it would make some sense that "all that tech" is more powerful than a small Star Ship hundreds of times smaller than the TARDIS.
oh yeah forgot the tardis was powered by a singularity engine. When I look at all the sci-fis out there I hate how trek is actually low tier in terms of the sci fi tech. Good stories but the sci fi tech is lacking.
@MrHoppers002 The object the TARDIS is disguised as is called a police telephone box. A common mistake is calling it a phone booth. In 2005, when the series returned, there was an episode called Boom Town where the Doctor explained what police boxes were.
@MrMarvel323 You know it wasn't until three years ago when I saw how they made Police boxes, did I realize they were made of concrete, and not wood. In the course of the series, a few references were made to the fact that the TARDIS is made of wood (or something made to resemble wood) and that this is wrong. I never understood that until I watched the documentary on them.

@DANNY45190 Hi, thanks for the kind words. The only stuff I write are the scripts for these mashups, and some TV/Movie reviews. The mashups are easy, because typically I'm borrowing other people's words. :)
@dhollseed overloud, and overdone...especially in the transporter scene...it just takes you right out of the cool ambience of seein the Tardis on the transporter pad.
@dhollseed That's totally valid, and I did address this about 300 comments ago. This is meant to be a "spot on perfect" parody of "Doctor Who" including the overly loud music, which was ALWAYS my biggest complaint with RTD era of the show. I'm glad we nailed it. :)
This is an excellent crossover from Dr Who to Star Trek, I wish there had been a crossover in Blake's 7 to Dr Who or Dr Who to Blake's 7 that would have been good and excellent in billions of ways.
The mention in Doctor Who Magazine brought me over here. Great stuff, well-edited. When I worked a comic store back in the Eighties, there was a fanzine produced that teamed the Fourth Doctor and Leela with the crew of the same Enterprise. They were going up against a KLINGON/SONTARAN Alliance. I kick mysel for not picking it up.
lmao, this is the best amatuer production value I've seen on anyting so far, well done it must've taken a bit of work. I'm not big on home made crap really but this had me wetting my pants especially when the Doc goes "By!!" and then the TARDIS gets zapped.
The only bit that didn't work as much was you using that part where the Doctor talks to Sally Sparrow thriugh the VD recording in Blink, it doesn't really fit into the logic of ur little story,. whats he busy talking to Kirk about?

i had a dream where the eleventh doctor and amy pond were in the enterprise in the new star trek movie, it was pretty good dream actually, the doctor defeated klingons and sadly, spock was killed by a dalek
5:13 Kirks obviously not looking hard enough on the view screen, i think the invitation on board the Enterprise was KIrks way of over compensating for the Doctor having the better hair, (Kirks reasioning: you may have the better hair Doctor whoever you are but i Captain James Tiberius Kirk have the bigger ship.)
This looked great, sadly, the Trek part of the dialog was totally drowned out after the opening bit, I couldn't hear any of it even with my volume maxed out.

@hellokittylove2929 It's from Series 4, it's the end of "The Greatest Story Never Told" about 95% of all the music is from Doctor Who. Only the parts Paul did mixing on was Star Trek music. Love Gold's music!!
Russel T. Davies considered a Star Trek/Doctor Who crossover featuring the eighth, or a yet-uncast ninth Doctor, until Enterprise went off-air. The plot would be very predictable, TARDIS crashes into a spacefleet ship, Doctor goes bla-bla-bla saves the day et all. I also suppose the Doctor would try to save a whole lot of Red-shirts. Fruitlessly. As always. Blerg, I'm lost :P
technically we could say Scotty was in a episode as Simon Pegg actually played a villain in one Doctor who episode, which actually took place in the future.
What kind of drug trip Scotty was on to first dye his hair white and then become an power obsessed villain which is not even that memorable, I don't know.
@drsjohnny Hi, sorry it took so long to get back to you here, in the full three part "Doctor Who - Trek Through Time" there's about thirty "Star Trek" episodes, two of the Trek feature films, and about eighteen "Doctor Who" episodes. Which is why the writing credits are so long. As for their names, wow, I would have to really look though my notes to figure out what when where.
Davros in Captain Pike's wheelie iron lung was brilliant! The scary thing is that this was really close to being seamless, the sort of thing that makes you wonder if it might not be tried at some point. After all, we did get an absolutely amazing Deep Space 9 episode that did exactly what you're doing here! I'd love to see Kirk & the Enterprise help the Doctor fight the Dalek invasion of the Federation, only to find themselves in the wrong side of a ship called Liberator!
I don't think so... There would have been starships defending the space station where the daleks attacked. (The one where Jack dies and Rose brings her back to life.
@freddykrugerfan Actually the answer is NO, but I did it anyway. LOL In the Whoverse, "Star Trek" exists as a TV show, due to the references Rose and the Doctor make to "Mr. Spock" in the "Empty Child" two-parter. However, to my knowledge there has NEVER been a direct reference to the "Doctor Who" series in any of the Trekverse series.
Actually, in Q-Who, the Trek episode that featured the debut of The Borg, the names of the actors who portrayed The Doctor to that point(Hartnell-Colin Baker) appeared on one of the bridge computer's display screen. There's a screen cap floating around the net, just google it.
@andyb2260 It was also done in "The Neutral Zone" when we look at Troi's linage. However, unless Troi is a timelord, I have to assume these were production in-jokes and not actual references to a TV Show called "Doctor Who". But both Piper and Tennant have talked about Spock and Kirk respectively. But thanks for the heads up! That's something about "Q Who" I never knew.
There's an argument to be made that they do. On an episode of Next Gen, I think, the names of the main characters from Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy appear on a plaque. That would connect those two. Furthermore, Doctor Who has had several little crossovers with HH2G, including the Doctor having a book by a character from that series. That bridges the two in a roundabout way.
When I wrote it, I knew he could only say "yes" or "no". And while this is subtle, and "only" implied, his "no, no, no" was that he didn't want or didn't understand what was happening to him. Or that when he saw the Doctor he was saying, no stay away from me.
Plus it played much better from an editing stand point to have him just flash no. The yes, didn't work as well. And in the trailer it was just Wicked Cool. LOL
Ah, I can see that now. Fantastic editing and production BTW, there's a few other Who/ST fan crossover videos and I think this one is the best I've seen yet.
It's funny how all of them involve some kind of battle between the two ships :) but I guess that just works best based on the available footage.
I think also it's just good to have some conflict to move them closer. Most of the Who/Trek parodies stop when the battle is over, I wanted to see what happened when the two worlds actually interacted in the same room.
The original story was very different, Paul's opening forced us to bring the TARDIS on board and go from there. Thankfully it all worked out.
How the hell did you do this? My jaw is just dropping, this is fantastic! This is simply amazing, and it all fits! It works beautifully, and I just can't find the words anymore. Thanks!
Of course, if you were using versions of STAR TREK and DOCTOR WHO which were filmed contemporaneously with each other, it'd be Patrick Troughton, Frazier Hines, and one or two of the other companions of that period in the TARDIS, not David Tennant and Catherine Tate, he said with a smile.
Kingoncowboy4, not sure if you were using speakers or if you were using a headphones, etc.. but I discovered that I could hear the verbal talking better with headphones, I do agree that the music was a tad to loud. Kelvington, awesome work on what you did, i'm sure this took some time.
I think I've addressed this before, but... the biggest question we had to face was, how much of an exacting parody were we going to make this. If you are a fan of the 2005 Doctor Who, then you know, the music is TOO DAMN LOUD, and it's so loud, I've taken to using closed captions to read the dialog. So we had to decide if we were going to make a perfect parody, or just a good one. We choose perfect and that includes music that's just too damn loud. :) Thanks for the comments!
I started losing interest in the new Whos after about the 4th attempt to resurrect and permanently kill the Daleks. What really finished it for me was the truely gay Daleks vs. Cybermen episode. Yes Daleks would win hands down but I don't think the Cybermen would cave quite that easily. The Daleks are supposed to be tough but not nearly invincible. Still these videos are well done non the less.
I agree, the Daleks are being OVERUSED, and looks like they will be for some time to come. A few series without them would be very good. Thanks for the kind words about the videos!
Actually we have had a few very nice notes from the folks at the BBC. Mostly they thought it was clever but warned me NOT to sell this. Of which, I have no intention of doing. This is just a labour of love.
As for Hollywood, well, haven't heard anything from them, and doubt we ever will. :)
I like it but the one thing I didn't like was that the doctor said that they would get in. No one but people who had studied the the tardis for millennium could get in. They could not in the year 2300ish. But great non the less.
Great catch on the "They could get in line". In my mind (for what it's worth) the reason they could get in, was because the TARDIS had been damaged in the chase. Between the phasers, which had no effect and the Doctor trying to fly away at near warp speeds and such, it was damaged to the point where they could get into it, with little effort.
Oh and also it gave the doctor a reason to get out of the TARDIS, which I really wanted him to do. LOL
But still at the time i the show when he says that the tardis has been damaged already and still only the daleks could get in. Sorry i'm being a nerd ^^
Sorry it took so long to get back to you. I just saw your question. The eye bit is from the series four trailers where they had a shot of the TARDIS flying into Donna's eye.
SO awesome!!! :D Absolutely love it-- the editing is absolutely brilliant. Encore! Hehe man I wish it were possible to have Captain Jack meet/hit on Spock; his reaction would be priceless XD Jack's hardly logical! XD
I love YOU!

Hey why is the Enterprise always the bad guy in these videos firing unprovoked on the Tardis :)
jruddock 2 years ago
Well, technically they were fired on first by what they thought was the TARDIS. So they are still the good guys.
Kelvington 2 years ago
Ah, I can see that now. Fantastic editing and production BTW, there's a few other Who/ST fan crossover videos and I think this one is the best I've seen yet.
It's funny how all of them involve some kind of battle between the two ships :) but I guess that just works best based on the available footage.
A+
jruddock 2 years ago
I think also it's just good to have some conflict to move them closer. Most of the Who/Trek parodies stop when the battle is over, I wanted to see what happened when the two worlds actually interacted in the same room.
The original story was very different, Paul's opening forced us to bring the TARDIS on board and go from there. Thankfully it all worked out.

Without a doubt the best thing I have ever seen on You Tube!

My freind acts on doctor who well she kinda my mate she is 10 nd im 12 but she was on the christmas one 2008 she is a awsome actor tho!
yasmin5445 2 years ago
Of course, if you were using versions of STAR TREK and DOCTOR WHO which were filmed contemporaneously with each other, it'd be Patrick Troughton, Frazier Hines, and one or two of the other companions of that period in the TARDIS, not David Tennant and Catherine Tate, he said with a smile.

My only complaint is that the music is WAY too loud, you can barely hear what is going on on the Enterprise, other than that excellent work.
klingoncowboy4 2 years ago
Kingoncowboy4, not sure if you were using speakers or if you were using a headphones, etc.. but I discovered that I could hear the verbal talking better with headphones, I do agree that the music was a tad to loud. Kelvington, awesome work on what you did, i'm sure this took some time.
kellyarch 2 years ago
I think I've addressed this before, but... the biggest question we had to face was, how much of an exacting parody were we going to make this. If you are a fan of the 2005 Doctor Who, then you know, the music is TOO DAMN LOUD, and it's so loud, I've taken to using closed captions to read the dialog. So we had to decide if we were going to make a perfect parody, or just a good one. We choose perfect and that includes music that's just too damn loud. :) Thanks for the comments!

lol ok
I started losing interest in the new Whos after about the 4th attempt to resurrect and permanently kill the Daleks. What really finished it for me was the truely gay Daleks vs. Cybermen episode. Yes Daleks would win hands down but I don't think the Cybermen would cave quite that easily. The Daleks are supposed to be tough but not nearly invincible. Still these videos are well done non the less.
klingoncowboy4 2 years ago
I agree, the Daleks are being OVERUSED, and looks like they will be for some time to come. A few series without them would be very good. Thanks for the kind words about the videos!

Why have the BBC/Hollywood not contacted you???
PinstripeShirt 2 years ago
Actually we have had a few very nice notes from the folks at the BBC. Mostly they thought it was clever but warned me NOT to sell this. Of which, I have no intention of doing. This is just a labour of love.
As for Hollywood, well, haven't heard anything from them, and doubt we ever will. :)

They don't know what they're missing out on. I can't wait for the next!

I like it but the one thing I didn't like was that the doctor said that they would get in. No one but people who had studied the the tardis for millennium could get in. They could not in the year 2300ish. But great non the less.
TheImortalCJ 2 years ago 2
Great catch on the "They could get in line". In my mind (for what it's worth) the reason they could get in, was because the TARDIS had been damaged in the chase. Between the phasers, which had no effect and the Doctor trying to fly away at near warp speeds and such, it was damaged to the point where they could get into it, with little effort.
Oh and also it gave the doctor a reason to get out of the TARDIS, which I really wanted him to do. LOL
Kelvington 2 years ago
But still at the time i the show when he says that the tardis has been damaged already and still only the daleks could get in. Sorry i'm being a nerd ^^

I have a question: when we see the "next time" there's an eye and the tardis flys into it. from what episode is that?
timetraveler900 2 years ago
Sorry it took so long to get back to you. I just saw your question. The eye bit is from the series four trailers where they had a shot of the TARDIS flying into Donna's eye.
