this clip is brilliant! to me, the best part is when arthur leaves the guy with sheila and he realises he's on his own! watch him start to sweat at the predicament he's in. he's as nervous as a pig in a slaughterhouse! but 10/10 for the guy's efforts to keep arthur in the clear! great job!

Fantastic old clips these - thanks so much for sharing. I think most of them come from the 73/74 series - with Arthur Atkins in brilliant deadpan form throughout.This was pre-video days of course so it meant staying in saturday nights until it finished !! Does anyone recall the stunt they did on a foot bridge where a CC man would approach a complete stranger with an outstretched hand , only to deviate at the very last moment and shake a fellow CC chaps hand - leaving the victim totally confused

Agreed, it did end very abruptly. This was how it was on the original VHS tape though.

I remember they did a similar prank on the old US version of Candid Camera. Same result there - the men always backed the guy up.

Glad you enjoyed them. I recently got a warning from candid Camera (I think the US makers) that a clip was copyright. They took off (car without an engine). I hope that I can continue to show these other great clips to the world as long as possible.
