Zitzon, it's in Genesis 6, and it doesn't mean He's sorry. The verse is mistranslated. God announces a change in policy and uses human language of accommodation. But in the Hebrew it's clear it's NOT God who's sorry; translators don't know how to render the impersonal passive. KJV inanely used "it repenteth God", lol. So rest assured, God is not sorry, only the translation is sorry. :)

Name sins to God, then you are filled, just as David said in that Psalm (& also 32:5). For us, that's 1 John 1:9. You get filled with discernment, not emotion, & can then spiritually discern Scripture, 1Cor2. It's both ad hoc & accumulative, as the Spirit builds Christ's Head into your own. That's what true spirituality is. :)
the definition of sin is going against the word of God. It has been said that God's word IS God and is bound by it so he cannot go against it.
