I crashed twice in a year and I am scared of driving.. I get bit panic feeling and am driving more slower, and far away from a car infront me... My feet get bit tingly and shaky.
I feel like I might crash again, and total another car.
I do want to get rid of this feelig of anxiety, fast heartbeat, bit of sweating..
Do you guys know if there is a good way to control this fear and not to crash agan?
Holla! Have you thought about anxiety zero technique (I think its at anxiety0.info)? Ive heard some incredible things about it and my mate pretty much cured panicks with it.
Lmao okay this is like me...And I'm scared shitless of my driving test on august 11th =/ Even though my mom picked the MVA that was in the dead country lol >.<
the only cure for driving fear is by DRIVING a car , i used to be very nervous and scared about driving , but i decided to drive cause i'm a guy and even girls drive , so even if i was nervous , i drove , and the fear disappeared once i accelerated the first time and the car moved , please do believe me you won't feel any fear once you drive , it's amazing , you'll wonder why you were scared !!! it really works believe me and it's the only real cure !!
@mimito92 i agree. i was scared them my brother took me around this quiet industrial area and well it was kinda fun and i even started speeding and not realising because i had become too comfortable lol. it is actually kinda fun :D
ive always dreamt that I would die in a car accident since I was 9, when I got my license I drove but I would be a nervous wreck, after my ATV accident 2 yrs ago I decided Im not driving at all. I just start freaking out. But I will eventually get over it.......soon....
@zainronaldo If you're going to insult someone, as dumb as that is on the internet in the first place, as well as childish, let's....learn to spell first, yeah?
I passed my test in Nov 2010, then we had snow and Ice so i didn't drive. It's now end of Dec and I still haven't driven solo yet. I don't have a fear of driving, it's a fear of screwing up the parking. in UK you learn to parallel park with a huge space behind you but, in reality, you normally have to squeeze into smaller spaces. This is what stops me going anywhere.
@kellyjo70 i here what you are coming from long and clear i passed my test on december 10, 2010 the last time i drove with my family was on december 19, 2010 i have not driven since i wanted to drive in the snow but my dad said it would be dangerous since ice can be difficult to drive in it damage the bumper you must be a expert driver to drive on ice i need more practice as for the parking i have my concerns about parallel parking but as long as i get help from my family i will be fine
@MsRisBlis i know what you mean just hang in there i am in the process of becoming a very confident driver like my dad and young brother with plenty of practice you should be great just keep watching these vieos of people who face their driving fears and try to map out a plan and say you can drive every day even if you haven't driven yet also take your time do not let no one rush you ask a lot of questions but face fear of driving your own way good luck i cannot to hear from you
@MsRisBlis Check out my testimony on my channel. I suffered with extreme anxiety, panic attacks and ocd for 7 years. I have been set free, completely, literally made brand new, it's been over 5 years now. I am not a company, just a woman who has been set free and telling as many as possible. Love you all.

I conquered the fear of driving the day i sat behind the wheel as my first driving lol. Driving is not something to be feared of thats if you have something that is pusshing you to drive so that you need to get your license as possible to get a car for that purpose

i just recently started and its kind of scary but when im at school in my drivers ed clas and we are on the road with the teacher and my friends it fun and i feel safe but when im with my mother its horrible and she yells at me so idc im get over next year when i get my own vehicle.
i LOVE driving but i take my driving test today for the second time and im like really nervous about it lol the guy was a dick the first time he failed me cus i turned too wide -.- but im afraid of failing the parallel parking part now
I have a hard time driving,I can't see on my sides well and I feel I my space is too small and it looks like I'm about to hit the sides of cars, I can't take it..
my anxiety is wierd, im perfectly fine with driving with my pops in the passenger seat anywhere any bridge.. then once i have to drive by myself im like what!!?

My driving anxiety is weird. I love the highway, no problem. I cannot be a passanger in the front seat but am better in the back. I feel much better when it's just me in the car.
there are also people who have the fear of driving over bridges. but i think that fear is valid! just refer to the website of the American Society of Civil Engineers where they say 27.1% of bridges in the US are structurally deficient or functionally obsolete.
Also, the 2008 strategic plan of the Federal Highway Administration says that 25% of the bridges in the US are classified as deficient.
I haven't driven on the freeway in almost 2 years because of panic attacks.. Symptoms are hyperventilation, dizziness, blurred vision and total panic.
lol. just put music and make it maximum volume open windows drive 220+ woooo00oo0t

Women do not have spacial awareness because they do not play enough video games growing up.
I attribute my excellent understanding of my vehicles occupancy of a 3d space to video games.

I only have anxiety driving automatic. Automatic transmission makes me feel disconnected to the car. Anyone have any insight on this??
WASTELANDelf 5 months ago
@WASTELANDelf automatic tranmission is much easier to drive with coz then u only have to brake and accelerate.
I have driven both manual and auto , IMO auto is much easier coz it gives u more time to take care of other important things while driving.
