  • I only have service pack 2. Any help?

  • My Nvidia settings dont have that : " adjust desktop size and position" =/

  • The game engine is terribly optimized. I run modern games on the rig I just build (Arkham City, BF3, etc) and my PC runs them fast and smooth. With SWTOR some of the PVE zones and fleet the game will occasionally chug and it also heats up my GPU more than the aforementioned games, which have way better visuals. I'll try these tips to see if my fps hit in fleet, etc, is improved.

  • I only see xp service pack 2 wth?

  • tried this tip with a an old nvidia gtx 275. didn't help...thx anyway

  • Holy s*** this helped a bunch thanks man i can now get 50 - 60 pretty much anywhere i go :P

  • Boobs!

  • thanks for this awesome video, it helps so much

    really thanks

  • Awesome video, help me alot :D Subbed!

  • thanks for this, I'll give these a whirl when I get home

  • AMD put up new drivers yesterday, January 25th

  • Yes!! Disabling desktop scaling helped like crazy

  • Here's a tip

Have a computer thats up to date with 2012 tech.

    Profit.

  • @brandonspikes Everyone does but it still used to fuck up untill the new patch fool

  • @brandonspikes and why would you need that for a game that uses a graphic engine that is like 5 years old? The problem is the Hero Engine is shit plain and simple, all games that have used it have problems independent of machine power.

you came here trying to brag and walk out looking like an ignorant.

  • @klarum You're an idiot, the Hero Engine is less than a year old

And what do you mean "All games that use it". only 1 current game does.

Get your facts straight before you ride the 4chan train.

  • you should be using the nvidia beta drivers, also note in order to take advantage of tip 3 you need to then drop the resolution of swtor in game.

  • so you are running a swtor LAUNCHER in a compatiblity mode??

    where is the swtor.exe?

  • @spamero2 Yes, running the SWTOR Launcher in Compatibility Mode will run the actual game in that mode as well.

  • @redrancor oki, great thx!

  • @redrancor I found a compatibility mode for windows xp service pack 2... but not 3 (I own windows vista). I set it for compatibility with service pack 2. Didn't make any difference in my fps. I have no fps issues in pve (50+ fps)... I only have these issues on the imperial fleet and in pvp (less than 20 fps most of the time). Any ideas for my fps problems ? :)

  • Where does this shortcut point to? The swtor.exe under the retailclient dir, or the launcher.exe in the main dir?

  • thanks for the tips

  • WOULD BE NICE IF ANYONE COULD DO THIS WITH ATI grapics card!

  • What is the methodology behind setting the game to run in compatibility mode?

  • No it didnt increase my frames, oh well, my rig is 2 years old and runs it well enough for me

  • I am noticing improvement after making the 2 settings changes! The game is running smoother, and I think I got a FPS boost also, maybe 10-20 FPS, but Im not totally sure on that. But I do notice the game running smoother! Thanks

  • ATI just brought out a new driver and its hell lot better!

  • @BossLiamidas

THANK YOU, Post on reddit to tell others

(HE SAID AMD just released a new driver! <3 )

  • I had a huge jump in performance from increasing my page file from 4gigs to 10gigs. That helped alone, but then I moved it over to my second harddrive (the one with swtor NOT on it) and this helped a ton, too.

  • Regarding the updating of drivers, sometimes you shouldn't. I mean check around first to see if people upgraded their drivers only to run into worse issues with their game.

  • game performance in swtor is one of the factors that makes me want to play less and less. nothing works

  • Or else just download Game Booster 3 :P
