  • It's not Trotsky, who arrived in New York, where this was made , on Christmas Day, 1916, long after the film was completed. Probably that style of hair, moustache and glasses were not so unusual in that day.

  • great clip of these early movie pioneers! Thumbs up!

  • Definitely Leon Trotsky!

  • Nice voluptuous babe at 0:14-0:23. Who is she?

Interesting film. Hope it's entirety would be discovered soon and be made available in the market.

  • Thanks for posting this rare footage. I would love to see the whole Movie Album short. I caught it years ago on TCM, but haven't been able to find it available for viewing anywhere. If I remember right, there was more than one of those made (?)

  • About 90% of all silent films are lost today. Studios used to destroy their own films cause they imagined noone would want to watch those movies. Today is considered madness to destriy old film. Restorers try to recover what survive by reaserching archives and trying to restore damaged copies, or reassemble footage form several sources. If you have a old print in your home, call a film musuen near you. You may have a lost film with you.

  • Great video clip and I've given you five stars. I've created a video clip featuring Norma Talmadge and many other 1920's movie stars.
