The final version I hear came out in the ultimate collection set. Sorry MJ sings with much more emotion and it is haunting. This, though quite good, appear flat in places. Yes it is Stevie Wonder style and the voice sounds similar to Stevie's but first time i heard the MJ demo it stuck in my mind and won't leave and that was quite a while ago.

I agree. This should not be compared, but it's human nature. Glenn Lewis and Michael Jackson have too very different voice styles and sing in different ways. Michael sings on the beat while Glenn sings more syncopated and rubato i.e. he sings just before or just after the beat (bery RnB).

I do like Michael's better, but I heard it first and I'm extremely biased. But this was the version that was officially released so well done to Glenn Lewis!

Though I love the jazzy feel of kenny g, and am a die hard MJ fan. I have to say the tone and the way Glenn Lewis sang this song is perfection. The lower tone gives the song so much more contrast where the soprano-ish sound blends in to much with the track. Love this it's great in every version because it's amazing song. This version is very good but if no one notices, Glenn's vocal control is not at the standard of MJ's, Glenn is sometimes rasping for a breath or a word, that's of course comparing it to MJ's version, which amazingly is only a demo and this track is completed, maybe its just Glenns way of singing but comparing it to MJ's, he doesn't quite have the vocal control.

Michael Jackson's version wasn't even complete, so honestly it's not fair to even compare it to something like this.

Robin Thicke and Kenny G's version just didn't have the vocal soul that Glenn Lewis put into it.
