Hi i work at mcdonald's and i dont really blame u for being mad cuz although drive thru customers are important, so are the people at the lobby. If i worked at the mcdonalds u went to, i would have helped u out as much as i can cuz thats pretty much my job. they should have done what they were supposed to do and give u ur food cuz thats mainly what u came in for.

I'm a mcdonald's employee... so let me tell u how it goes. Most managers main priority is drive thru over lobby because they catch flack if their times are high (over 90sec). I do agree that a MANAGER should be more representative and kinder to customer, but it also goes the other way, I deal with a lot of customers who like to pay for food but act like they can't pay $1 for a soda, then when u call em out, they get irate and want to cause a scene.
I know you meant well, and that you were upset with your service. Working in customer service, I'd say that woman was fed up with people like you. We have people call and complain all the time on employees (a video store). In my first week on the job, someone complained on me. Did they care? Not in the least. I'm sure if it was my fiftieth offense or not my first week, they would have. Let me ask you this, you always stand up for your service, but do you say when someone is doing a good job?

Unfortunately, you must go to a fast food restaurant in a predominately white high class neighborhood to get good customer service and hot fresh fries. I used to live in Alpharetta and have received great service in the fast food restaurant. The people were very nice and respectful.
Hi, I'm a McDonald's worker and I understand that you'll complain about the service. But you'll need to understand, that it's hard when there is very few staff at work.
It's hard when there is an ambush of customers that are angry, impatient or frantic, waiting to be serve.
It's hard to handle a customer who is complaining about the mistakes that we make.
I'm a waitress for a living and I just have to say that when I'm understaffed and things are going crazy at work, I am completely apologetic! I say "I'm so sorry for the wait, thank u for ur patience, I'm the only one here, I'm trying to be quick, again I'm so sorry" that usually goes over better than "don't rush me, you can write or call whoever you want". That's not the right way to react in that situation.
Please don't expect "exceptional customer service" at McDonald's (of all places) from people who are paid minimum wage and verbally abused on a daily basis by asshole customers who want to take their shitty day out on innocent employees.
I seriously don't understand why you would expect such great customer service at McDonald's...just take your shitty fast food, pay for it, and get the fuck out.

The couple of fast food places I worked at when I was younger ALWAYS put drive through orders ahead of in lobby orders. Trust me, that is how it is always done. I have had your same experience many times, I always stick in the drive thru unless the lobby is empty.

nothing new here. (local) employees generally reflect the mindset of the (local) employer. unaccommodating/disinterested/mean-spirited employers/decision-makers generally recruit/employ the same. this seems to be true everywhere. your best recourse is to lodge a complaint against that store (if you can motivate yourself to do so) and then stop giving that store your money. nothing speaks louder in this money-oriented world than to deprive someone/some group/store of your money.
I rarelly go to McDonalds, but the times I have been there, the customer service has always been bad. The people never smile. They even seem annoyed by your presence. They have no ethic what-so-ever. The things some of these employees do and say, while in the back is ridiculous. I know for a fact that most of them are young and immature, but still.

Where I work at the majority of customers are black and the majority of the tude customers are black. Not to say they're the only one bad customers are universal. The white customers have a knack of getting smart with you cause they feel they're so much bigger than you. It seems like some of the black customer go over there looking for trouble. They order from the dollor menu and feel like they should be serve like they're in a 5 star resturant.

Another thing to watch out for with McDonalds - Never give them your phone number or address if you have a problem. First, they'll try to call and pacify you. If they can't get you on the phone they actually have the gall to show up at your door! It was an ongoing problem that made it so I didn't want to go there anymore. I told them they lost my business but they just couldn't let it go. I had to threaten them with a harassment lawsuit because they wouldn't stop calling or coming by.
You usually don't get any help of any kind from the workers. I always deal directly with the manager (not the assistant manager or shift supervisor). If the manager doesn't take care of the problem I call the owner(s).
And guess what? There is no "home office" to complain to. The national headquarters will tell you that they have no control over what happens in the restaurants. WTF? It's a franchise, of course they have control! They control everything so they can "defend" the corporation.
@Impellios I actually have complained to corporate and gotten quick results. I even had the franchise owner give me her cell phone number and told me to call her anytime that I had a problem. She said that it was bad if they had too many corporate complaints. Apparently, they can actually risk losing their franchise if their are too many problems.
I went to Burger King, waited in the Drive-thru, about 20 people are there in a line, nobody's moving. We go inside, there are about 30-40 people in the lobby. The people who are working are moving slowly. We wait there for ONE HOUR IN THE LOBBY!!! AND 30 MINUTES IN THE Drive-thru!!! So we go out of the place, and our battery on our truck was dead. AGGGGGGGGGHGURGLEGAHHHHHH.
So we wait there another hour for someone to tow us out of there. Then when I get home I'm waiting for dinner until 11:00
If they get paid more than min wage then they will serve you with good customer service. Stop complaining. But...on another note I do understand where youre coming from as far as spending money and good customer service. She didnt need to give you an attitude nonetheless.

However, people go to McDonald's because they know exactly what they want before they get there. Fast Food. I was at a Mcdonalds once and I simply ordered some fries. All the customers before me got serviced as well as the ones after me. So much so that in 15 mins no one but me was left. So I go up to see what's wrong and it turned out they forgot about me completely. Not only did they admit that, they laughed about it to my face.
I haven't been to that Mcdonalds in about 10 years.
Great video. While treating customers badly is not the way to go, customers also should not come into the stores with the attitude that employees should portray the "Yes massa, anything you say". It is extremely unfair. The employee shouldn't initially frown and give attitude when servicing. The customer also shouldn't act as if the employee hasn't been/will be working from 4-8 hour shifts and is trying their best to fill the correct order promptly. Just thought I'd put that out there...

I'm a mcdonald's employee... so let me tell u how it goes. Most managers main priority is drive thru over lobby because they catch flack if their times are high (over 90sec). I do agree that a MANAGER should be more representative and kinder to customer, but it also goes the other way, I deal with a lot of customers who like to pay for food but act like they can't pay $1 for a soda, then when u call em out, they get irate and want to cause a scene.

I know you meant well, and that you were upset with your service. Working in customer service, I'd say that woman was fed up with people like you. We have people call and complain all the time on employees (a video store). In my first week on the job, someone complained on me. Did they care? Not in the least. I'm sure if it was my fiftieth offense or not my first week, they would have. Let me ask you this, you always stand up for your service, but do you say when someone is doing a good job?

Hi, I'm a McDonald's worker and I understand that you'll complain about the service. But you'll need to understand, that it's hard when there is very few staff at work.
It's hard when there is an ambush of customers that are angry, impatient or frantic, waiting to be serve.
It's hard to handle a customer who is complaining about the mistakes that we make.
We're human, we can't do everything perfectly.

I'm a waitress for a living and I just have to say that when I'm understaffed and things are going crazy at work, I am completely apologetic! I say "I'm so sorry for the wait, thank u for ur patience, I'm the only one here, I'm trying to be quick, again I'm so sorry" that usually goes over better than "don't rush me, you can write or call whoever you want". That's not the right way to react in that situation.

The couple of fast food places I worked at when I was younger ALWAYS put drive through orders ahead of in lobby orders. Trust me, that is how it is always done. I have had your same experience many times, I always stick in the drive thru unless the lobby is empty.

(local) employees generally reflect the mindset of the (local) employer. unaccommodating/disinterested/mean-spirited employers/decision-makers generally recruit/employ the same. this seems to be true everywhere. your best recourse is to lodge a complaint against that store (if you can motivate yourself to do so) and then stop giving that store your money. nothing speaks louder in this money-oriented world than to deprive someone/some group/store of your money.

I rarelly go to McDonalds, but the times I have been there, the customer service has always been bad. The people never smile. They even seem annoyed by your presence. They have no ethic what-so-ever. The reasons related to your video title could have been:
1. The drive-thru was suffering a shortage of staff, and mainly focusing on the busy area (lobby) considering the Drive thru itself was not busy.
2. Cars can run a lot faster then people, they drive thru, customers on lobby stand in a line and wait.
3. Lobby and drive thru, balance on buisness. It's unpredictable which one becomes the busiest.
(I reccomend, if you prefer, to use the drive thru on your next trip)

Where I work at the majority of customers are black and the majority of the tude customers are black. Not to say they're the only one bad customers are universal. The white customers have a knack of getting smart with you cause they feel they're so much bigger than you. It seems like some of the black customer go over there looking for trouble. They order from the dollor menu and feel like they should be serve like they're in a 5 star resturant.

Another thing to watch out for with McDonalds - Never give them your phone number or address if you have a problem. First, they'll try to call and pacify you. If they can't get you on the phone they actually have the gall to show up at your door! It was an ongoing problem that made it so I didn't want to go there anymore. I told them they lost my business but they just couldn't let it go. I had to threaten them with a harassment lawsuit because they wouldn't stop calling or coming by.

You usually don't get any help of any kind from the workers. I always deal directly with the manager (not the assistant manager or shift supervisor). If the manager doesn't take care of the problem I call the owner(s).
And guess what? There is no "home office" to complain to. The national headquarters will tell you that they have no control over what happens in the restaurants. WTF? It's a franchise, of course they have control! They control everything so they can "defend" the corporation.

I went to Burger King, waited in the Drive-thru, about 20 people are there in a line, nobody's moving. We go inside, there are about 30-40 people in the lobby. The people who are working are moving slowly. We wait there for ONE HOUR IN THE LOBBY!!! AND 30 MINUTES IN THE Drive-thru!!! So we go out of the place, and our battery on our truck was dead. AGGGGGGGGGHGURGLEGAHHHHHH.
So we wait there another hour for someone to tow us out of there. Then when I get home I'm waiting for dinner until 11:00

However, people go to McDonald's because they know exactly what they want before they get there. Fast Food. A monster big business like McDonalds doesn't need to worry about competition to the same extent and therefore allows for the easier hire, and worse customer service. They're getting $ either way.

it doesnt work like that. if there are a lot of cars you still have to wait for all the food thats in the drive thru that came b4 you got there. but i try my best to make sure people get in and out. lol people have scared me, made me mad, and embarrased me at mcdonalds. at the end of my shift whether its a 4 hour shift or 8 hour shift i feel so drained. and the thing is i try hard.

I was at a Mcdonalds once and I simply ordered some fries. All the customers before me got serviced as well as the ones after me. So much so that in 15 mins no one but me was left. So I go up to see what's wrong and it turned out they forgot about me completely. Not only did they admit that, they laughed about it to my face.
I haven't been to that Mcdonalds in about 10 years.

Great video. While treating customers badly is not the way to go, customers also should not come into the stores with the attitude that employees should portray the "Yes massa, anything you say". It is extremely unfair. The employee shouldn't initially frown and give attitude when servicing. The customer also shouldn't act as if the employee hasn't been/will be working from 4-8 hour shifts and is trying their best to fill the correct order promptly. Just thought I'd put that out there...

@datconceitedchick I will be the first to say that the customer is "not" always right because I have worked in a service job/job dealing with the public. I have seen and dealt with the rude,mean,impatient customers myself. I would not be surprised if there are times ATL Sista's attitude probably did not help;but at the same time many employees do suck with their poor service and bad attitudes. Not all,not most, but alot and It is no excuse/good reason for "some" of this mess.

my way and go to another De Wienderschnitzel then to be mistreated at this particular store. I also told her that I would not be visiting that store anymore either. I'll take the drive and visit another store for sure. You'd think that people would be greatful to have a job instead of mistreating customers and thinking that the customers aren't going to complain !
I know here in CA, you complaint, you get a free meal and even a refund sometimes.

I went through the same thing last week at De Wienerschnitzel. This particular one the staff is Never friendly and they just give you your food with an attitude and a frown ! Well I had enough this day and I called the corporate office and reported the entire store ! I think your right, we do need to be assertive, professional, and respectful to customers. I work in a Retail Business in North Texas, and we have to be Super Nice and of course apologetic to them as well if things turned out worse like long lines and stuff like that. Thank you.

McDonalds won't miss your business regionally. You said you go to another one. The company profits in the end. You're complaining on a corporation with a huge turnover rate on managers and associates. When someone gives you a double cheeseburger and was very friendly do you call and say he/she did a great job? I didn't think so.
