The Carrying case is obviously a case to carry it but it also works as a Stand so you can stand the Ipad Portrait style hands free without the worry of it falling, and you can put it down landscape style and same happens as Portrait, OR you can even lay it down on landscape and it slants so its like a keyboard. Really neat. Promise
