  • @movingtarget12321 its also ironic that phone companies want you to call them to get phone service, but they dont have a phone. :P

  • This actually led me to build a computer, and taught me how my first time. Thanks a lot, this PC is amazing!

  • pretty helpful...good job .. :-)

  • So lets get started... Video ends rofl

  • Lol.

  • I lol'd

  • Instructor here seems good, but not the video and his tutorial !!

  • intel core i7 860 2.8ghz 8mb 95w box s1156 vs the amd phenom x6 1090t black 3.2 ghz 125w box am3

    What is the best?

  • @funnyfootballs Defo the intel man.

  • yeah umm... why aren't all these just 1 video? they're seconds long and i'm too goddamn lazy to find the vids in the related bar.

  • @rabbitspliff 7 videos means 7 times the ads which means 7 times the money

  • This was definitely worth its own separate video. Good call, HowStuffWorks team.

  • Ok, Im ready.... Wherdya go? 17 seconds? Don't tell me I have to do it alone from here on out! Lololol... Is part two 30 seconds?

  • not much cheaper. its just that u can put in it what u want. if u buy it, it comes with a warranty. if u build ur own and the cheap power suply u got off of ebay decides to toast everything, well, time to start all over again. and if ur installing windows then u have to buy that seperately too. its better to just buy and let the experts that want to fine tune their computers do the building.

Best thing to do, get a cheap pre made computer, and add on to it.

  • Don't understand how buying a cheap computer and then replacing the guts with what you want is better than just buying the guts and building it in the first place? Your now buying the guts AND the cheap computer instead of just the guts.

  • you don't know shit bro. it is alot cheaper and alot of the cheap pre made ones arent upgradeable in alot of areas,im about to build my first computer :]

  • @blacksnow90 So so so so so so wrong.

First off, don't buy from Ebay. Don't talk about what you don't know.

  • @Disanidi thats not even what i said, i said no to buying off of ebay. read and understand, then reply.

  • @blacksnow90 we build computers because oem companies are a bunch of dumbasses.

  • Well, atleast its better then exp. village...

  • this should be one long video instead of loads of small parts.

  • these vids are kinda ironic since you technically need a computer to watch them on.

  • yeh lik how did they come up with C the comp language its like inventing a new language blows my mind like a mind grenade

  • LOL!, Thats totaly right

  • @movingtarget12321 Ever heard of a Library?

  • @vearheart42 Ever heard of a joke?

  • @movingtarget12321 i watched this video on my iPod Touch

  • @movingtarget12321 How about watching them on your old pc? Hm?

  • @movingtarget12321 I think virtually everyone in the world has access to a computer. This is catered for anyone considering whether to buy or build their "next" computer.

  • @movingtarget12321 it is about as ironic as verizon telling you to go online for more info on how to get connected to the internet

  • Build a computer is cheaper, for 140 you can build one that is good. for 200 you start to be creative.. 300 adding what you truly love and 400 a monster fresh from your own creation.

its better to buy you own computer, because bought computers have a lot of commercial software and spy ware on it. also another way you can also buy a new computer and then you can modify it. I know what I am talking about I did with a DC5000 from tiger direct.

  • Parts?

  • It's not cut off you idiot, it's just the intro.

  • nice one

  • Thank you for this video, even though my computer stopped loading the video at 9 seconds because of an internet problem. From the information in the first half of your video I was able to go out to the shops an buy all the parts needed to build my very own PC. Then I came home and built my own PC.

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOTTTTTTTTTTTT

  • Wow. lets spend our time to watch this very informational video. man this took alot of my time but it was way worth it!

  • lmao wow a whole 18 second vid of him saying lets get started why the hell wasnt this added to part 2?

  • mooh should have posted the other as video responsens -.-

  • ...Smartass

  • awesome, thanks alot man

  • You said that you didn't start it, well DON'T continue it. This is just crap that nobody needs or wants. By doing as the first idiot told u to, by continuing this crap that makes you just as much of a bloody idiot as the person who started it.

  • sorry man, I deleted it...

  • Thats ok:)

  • after this part I video, i sure know how to put together a computer!

  • hehee wtf...that's it!!!!

  • it easy to build a computer whats the need for a video.

  • That sure was helpful(!)

  • this video is what I used primarily when building my first computer about 3 years ago.

  • hey,are you a host from a tv show or what??? Your face kinda familiar...

  • o.0 thanks a LOT man!!!

  • Where do I get all these parts?

  • newegg

  • Tigerdirect.

  • Novatech or ebuyer if UK

  • Ok, im gonna follow it!!!

    b) 8gb of 1800mhz ramm

    c) E8600 at 4.5 ghz

  • ok, i know how to build a computer!!!

i'll need a Black button up shirt...

    pictures of stuff like that

    and a green background!

  • great i feel like i could buld anything after that!

  • over there ------>

  • XDXDXD

  • lets chat

  • The computer doesn't work as lack of power/electricity. Think about it this way if you plugged something that required more power than a power outlet could give, what do you think will happen. The answer is the appliance won't turn on. Its the same inside of a computer

  • is building it cheapper of more expensive?

  • cheaper

  • Shit this is annoying, make fucking longer videos!!!

  • who needs part two after part one I'm ready to build my computer!! thanks

  • Haha.. mee too :)

  • hi guys i'm wondering if anyone knows where i can buy a good gigabyte. i don't want to get ripped off. i'd also like to be able to upgrade it later on. let me know, thanks! :)

  • wow part 1 was a wast of time heres hoping that part 2 is better.

  • i finsihed building it but vista will not install sent it to a professinoal and just looked over my finances and have blown almost 900 pounds naturally i am thinkig about suicide

  • hopefully you guys arent as pathetic and useless of a loser as i am

  • hi , im confused i have a ATX case now how i fit motherboard in there>??

  • red the manual

  • Where can I get a list of parts that work good togather when building a gaming computer. I wand a mother board, cpu, memory, case, video card and all that picked out for me

  • just find a good proccessor, like i would choose core 2 duo at around 2.5 ghz or above. then find a core 2 duo compatable motherboard with at least 2 ram slots. get a good graphics card like nvidia 8800. your case just has to fit. im gonna build 1 soon, and i read alot about it. my case is like a antec 1200. that would make your comp look pimp. but you need to do research before you build. things could go very wrong. i think this would be enough 4 crysis on high or very high.

  • oh btw, dont just use these vids, check online tutorials, cuz those help u make sure u have the right parts.

  • whoops, i ment written online tutorials

  • Jeez, you really can't afford to skip this video

  • STOP TALKING WITH YOUR HANDS

  • Now You Coulda Saved Us Time .. by Making 4 10min clips rather than 100 or we 30sec clips ...where half of it is advertising your website

  • hey um shloppy, fuck off

  • Pfft.. 10 times? more like 9.9 times! Bwahahahah!

  • that dosent even include buying anything cool.

  • u have somewhat wasted 17 seconds of ur life here

  • @XwhitmanX

Ummm... this video has more than 1 part, which is located in THE RELATED VIDS!

  • OKguide but it goes to quickly.. some1 else suggested this guide which I used:

    howtobuildacomputer,co,uk

  • Yea yea thx for that, good guide.

  • Its called OEM!

  • Its not hard to build a PC but if you want any Microsoft products on it be prepared to pay 10 times what it costs to just buy the PC from Dell with the software already on it.

  • 10 times as much? thats a bit of an exaguration. also, manufacturers' parts are cheap and the assembly in the case is usually messy and confusing. in the long run ur best bet is to build one urself.

also, dl a pirated version of windows xp pro and theres 100 bucks well saved :)

  • I guess if you are going to used pirated versions of Windows you can save money building a computer. However, for the rest of us, the additional cost of buying Windows vs. buying a Dell with Windows on it, easily eats aways any savings you may have had. Windows and Office together (the good versions) will set you back almost $1000, if you buy a prebuilt you can get this for around $300 additional. Now, if you don't mind not having the best software, maybe you can build a machine.

  • sweet so thats all i have to do?..lol its not that easy...u could build one but if u want cutomisation u need to know what works on what..they arevery picky...thats why i gave up on building my own from separate parts

  • LOL you are incompetent if you can't find compatible stuff.

  • You should give up if you want to try it..just ask around forums and read up on it a bit more. Don't give up:)

  • ((SHOULDN'T)) give up..heh my fault. Don't listen to people that are rude instead of helpful--just know that you gave their life a little bit of meaning because they have something to fill just a tiny portion of their doldrum existence up with by talking about you=) ..or something like 'at

  • 17 secondes of pricelss information there

  • Sure is, we can all die happy now :)))) !!!!

  • why not make them 1 part...

  • VERY good video! i think ima build my own computer!

  • im ready to build a computer from this video! lol

  • finally!!! i found part one!!!

  • Easy? For me, yes, I'm a profesional, but maybe this guys shoudl visit some hardare forums and read all the stories of people who are having problems while building one...

  • Heh its from Howstuffworks, although the vid/tut is really nice!

  • thank you for the good quality video!

  • lol. i got alot of information out of that! thanks!!! lol
