Elijah is just so hot, and so ridiculously cool, but I love the slightly smug look on his face when Elena told Stefan that he was a man of honor and could be trusted ( at 1:07). It's like that hair flick he does, cocky and just shy of arrogant but just so delicious to watch... Yummy. I just hope we see much more of him in the future.

This vid CLEARLY shows the intense chemistry that Elena & Elijah have. Dare I even go as far as to say that she shows more chemistry with him than Stefan & Damon. It took her TIME to develop chemistry with Damon & Stefan but Elijah was only on the show for a short time & their conversations, respect for one another, their eye contact..notice how they both have calm & soothing demeanors around each other...Idk, it's interesting to say the least. U can tell she actually feels safe with him, too.

I just realized that Elijah and Elena have really interesting chemistry ... Not in a romantic way, at all.. but they share a mutual respect and... beneath their businesslike attitudes/conversations you can sense that they are curious about each other and want to get to know each other better. Hope we see more of them!!!

@lenamuopc - The answer to that is a bit complicated. Klaus dangled their family's whereabouts to Elijah and family is quite important to him. Elena would have done the same thing. These 2 characters have more in common than they care to admit.
