BMW M6 Vs Infinity FX50 S street race (M6 bad start)

The FX will show its tailights to every other SUV made and alot of sports cars and sedans. The reason it is quicker than others with more hp like the Range and almost as quick as the others that out run it with substantially more hp is because the FX weighs 4700lbs. Much less than its european competition and it is also better geared than several with a 7 speed transmission. The Merc has a 7 speed also and the New Cayenne Turbo has a 8 speed auto.

The FX50s is one of the fastest SUV's made period. The only SUV's that can out run it are the BMW X5/X6 M models both with the twin turbo V8 making 555hp. The newly revised and much lighter than the previous generation Porsche Cayenne Turbo with 500hp. The ML63 AMG Merc with a 6.2L V8 all motor making 503hp and the old and new generation Jeep Cherokee SRT8 420 - 470hp. They all run 0-60 in under 5 secs, the FX has done 5 flat. The new Range Rover Sport SC is a tic behind with 510 hp.

The m6 is about .8 seconds faster 0-60 but if the driver of the m6 can't drive, the fx50 has a fighting chance until the power-to-weight ratio kicks in and the m6 pulls ahead. I've pulled on an m3 in my FX50 becaus they couldn't drive well.

@bayarm9 impossible, it must have been an fx35. The range rover supercharged's 0-60 is like 7.3 seconds, 2 seconds slower than the FX50's average 5.3 0-60. even the Range Rover sport S/C still has about a 5.9 0-60. I have run my FX50 at a 5.0 flat 0-60. Sorry bud

The FX50 has a faster average 0-60 and 1/4 mile than the range rover supercharged. Plus, the Range Rover supercharged has 120 more horsepower than the FX. In certain situations, the Range rover would pull on the FX because of the power difference and supercharger. If the FX50 has a supercharger slapped on it it would be running up in the 500-550 hp range too. Plus, what does this have to do with an x6? the x6 and range sc both have more horsepower/torque than the FX50, it shows after 60mph.

I`ve smoked 4,8 X5 on my Forester 2,5 turbo, 4,4 was not a problem for me at all...but i didn`t was even close in race with FX50...you`re bullshiter!

@guzena I like japanese cars too, but your story... X5 4.8 can be never beaten by foresteк 2.5T, sorry. X5 4.8 accelerates 0-100 in about 5.8-6 sec. And what about FX50S, I certainly know thant X6m easily beats it. But of I think that FX50S is the best crossover however:)

Finaly, someone else who see's the slow response on BMW's.

My mom owns a M6 conv. and I hate driving it myself. Theres about a 1 second delay after you step on the pedal before the car realizes wtf is going on.

But the m6 driver failed. Should have used the launch control with the DSC off and the EDC set to 2nd.

Either way, AWD should rape RWD at launches anyways.
