Where did you learn to play such glorious tunes? I have a great fondness for lapslide and even made one from an old 1950's Silvertone acoustic, but I can find no one to teach me, and there seem very few resources to learn from...
your steel finger picks give it a resonator sound, but no hiding the hollowneck sound! I am almost done building my first wiess based on the style one design but with binding all solid black walnut hope it has that authentic sound like yours!
A pleasure to hear the instrument, and played so well! Thanks.

how much would a slide guitar like that cost?
apc467 2 years ago
Weissenborn guitars range in price from around $500 to $3000 and up with a wide range of quality along the way.
Vintage Weissenborn's like the one I am playing here start around $2000 and up.

farout that was great :)
I also am looking at Richard wilsons site, looks alright, i wonder though what the difference between the dobro and a weissenborn is

Rob this sounds amazing, and your guitar looks amazing. I just ordered a Blackwood Weissenborn from Richard Wilson in Australia.
Do you have a tab for this song at all that I might be able to learn from ?

I finally worked up tabs for my arrangement of Nothing But The Blood. They're available from my website - w w w robanderlik . com

The entrancing nature of this recording is what hollowneck slide guitars are all about.
To hear it played on an authentic Weissenborn is a real treat.
Rob's family and friends are fortunate to have him sliding these resonate tones into their life. I am too.
