  • @birdtickinchimney Churrr

  • I was born in Africa. Africans will never forget even 20 years later New Zealands support in our struggle against Colonialism.

Death before injustice. Never give in.

  • kia ora all the way from tikitiki , east coast, thanks heaps of aroha from ruawaipu iwi.

  • all ways go back to this every now and then !!!!!!!!!!!!!! ima muslim aswel bless to be maori and this always touches my heart every time i watch and listen...............never forget the struggle our old ppl went through................thank u som much and may the almighty guide us all towards goodness in this life and unite all of us to the next after life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Aue...Its 2011, All the best everyone..I'm just happy to be alive..

  • Moriori theory is a lie of Victorian Scientific Racialism. They used that theory to seperate us Polynesians...WERE A KINGDOM OF WARRIOR CHIEFS KINGS AND PRINCESS, GREAT NAVIGATORS AND ASTRONOMERS, WE OWN THE SOUTHERN CROSS. YOU ARE ROYAL. WAKE UP.

  • DEAR MAORI BROTHERS MORIOIRS are FROM HAWAIKI NUI what does that mean? they are the SAME peoples! - They are MAORI just another tribe. but WHITEY separated them to justify there injustices and atrocity against YOU. ANOTHER DECEPTION OF WHITE MAN. MORIORI THEORY IS A COLONIAL VICTORIAN THEORY.

  • Thank you so much for this, it made me cry tears of sorrow and pride. Sorrow that humans can disrespect one another so much, and pride that our Maori people have stood and struggled so long and hard to regain our mana. Kia Kaha to all who watch this. Keep on fighting, keep on holding on to what and who we are and can be. Arohanui

  • always luv this song very inspiring, sensitive, reflective, remembering

MAY WE ALL BE GUIDED to bring a sense of belonging to all humanity,WHITE BLACK AND BROWN AND ALL...AROHA MAI NUI....

  • New occupation coming up on former military land in Patea Taranaki . Pakeha and Maori unite to challege the right of British Crown administration in this country. reply to this comment and you will get some more details

  • Sorry there were working class 'white' people too who got fucked over and coerced/they call it the class system ala empire ala alah ahhh much like racism, ignorance breeds hate, its cultural, unless u change that u will find seemingly intelligent stupid people following stupid 'leaders', unite, no divide and conquer.

  • This is truly amazing. Thank-you for posting this. Aroha nui.

  • damn why did the pakeha have to try and take over everyones country ???

  • lmao @ t.head's dumbarse comment >>> "the most disgusting practices in the history of mankind" >>> damn you seriously need to go learn about your own eh, lol!!

  • Those who did and still do abusing human rights and innocents or making them victims, is just terrible.

  • hahaha ohhh yup nothing to envy from these caniball heritage ay pale face.

well can you sing, can you dive for your family gather for your kaumatua or do you know your heritage dumb da only thing da pakeha has taught us is that the only person that matters is yourself which isnt MAORI at all. but its not your fault uz dont even know the name of your great grandfather were maori are taught from our generation back to the gods not like uz who decend from adam and eve. our past is our future MAORI

  • jealous pakeha. ashamed of their history. so they pick on ours...HAHAHA . but we still proud az aye my MAori people...CCCCHHHUUUUURRRR CUZZIES

  • We're not jealous at all and I fail to see anything of envy in your brutal, cannibalistic heritage. You're lucky enough to be sharing these islands with the descendants of the greatest empire builders and the greatest civilisation in history. The people responsible for dragging your tipuna from the stone-age and putting an end the most disgusting practices in the history of mankind. When you're ready to express your gratitude, I'll be more than willing to accept it on behalf of my people.

  • for somebody who hates us so much,, your on here ah awful lot HAHAH

  • Comment removed

  • torqueingheads. you suck.

  • @torqueingheads yes cause the english were completly unbarbaric throughout their history - have a look back and see how innocent they were! hung drawn and quartered ring a bell - not barbaric at all! know of what your talking about before you share your opinion! we are one country, one nation and i for one will never show u any gratitude! I have both scottish and maori blood in me and i am damn proud of both! its crap like what ur saying tht is holding us from moving forward!!!

  • wow!

this song iz mean..im soo proud of our maori people who stood against the pakeha..its all bowt mana n pride n been able to stand togetha az one to unify what we beleave in..

  • I loved this song and video, I saw my koro and my nana at Bastion Point along with uncles and cousins. My family were being bullied off our land so it's like someone coming along and saying this was your house but its mine now and get off. So we had to protest for our home basically. I wasn't born then, but wouldn't you do the same.

  • Kia-Ora Brothers Mauri oRa tino pAi KA pai KIa ora!! :P :)

  • love it!!

  • Hoo wants it?

  • kia kaha kare. this "torqueinheads" is all fucked up kei roto i tona roro.lol.

he obviously needs to get all his faxs rite about all this because he is making aloto of friends by posting bullshit accross this page! "torqueingheads" why do you bother comming back to this page when you hate uss??? maybe deep in side your heart you secretly would love to be maori...?? get a life mate and take a long look at your own race and see what they had done to people over the past, don't write back thank u

  • I know what my people have done here and we've done yours a huge favour by dragging you out of the stone-age and building you a first world nation with education and health care. Not to mention putting and end to inter-generational feudalism, cannibalism and infanticide. To date we still haven't recieved any thanks, but I know you're about to change that.

  • change it how???

im not gonna thank u lol, i dnt even live in nz! dick sucker

  • There's no hate in my comments Treeza. The truth is hate to those who hate the truth. This notion that's becoming popular with utus that Maoris stood a chance against the British is complete nonsense. By around 1860 all the Maori rebels were either killed or imprisoned in the South Island and Chatams. British victory was complete and absolute and I'm sorry but you owe your existance to the grace and pity of my forefathers.

  • The Treaty of Waitangi wasn't a "peace treaty" it was a cession of sovereignty in exchange for the protection of British citizenship and was requested by northern chiefs due to the actions of lawless settlers.

  • Torqueingheads...Wow back it up hater!! Never forget that we are the only race in the world that were never defeated in Warfare...hence the Treaty of Waitangi...How dare you disrespect my ancestors whom fought for their future generations...Obviously you have no knowledge on our heritage!! TOI TE KUPU, TOI TE MANA, TOI TE WHENUA!! Take a page out of our history dude!! Who taught who??

  • I don't know anything about the aboriginal situation in NZ, but I can recognize hate when I see it.

  • new zealanders are maori not abo lol, just leting you no

  • Torqueingheads... Interesting that you keep coming back to this page. If you hate us so much why bother?

Deep down you want to be me don't you!!!

  • this video is so cool who ever made it

  • Congrats Vince, well done I am Ngati whatua and Tainui and I am heading for those maori seats to carry the mantle and voice of my people and for all peoples-let justice prevail-watch this space!

    Louise simpson

  • Congrats Vince, well done. I am going to represent the mana of our people. I am heading for those maori seats. watch this space. I am Ngati whatua and Tainui and I will carry the mantle and voice our people-for the sake of all peoples, let justice prevail. Louise simpson

  • Maori contribute to the life blood that built and maintain new zealand. We are the manual labour that built the roads and infrastructure, and the back bone of the logging/fishing/meat processing industry, we are in the police and over represented in the armed forces. So some urban maori have lost their way where else are they to go when the land is taken and our culture is stripped away. Funny how Pakeha call us theives given the billion worth of land stolen.

  • 94% of Maori land was sold and tribes are being more than compensated for the land that wasn't. The stolen myth is a lie perpetuated by victimised Maoris. The worst Maori criminals are those immersed in their culture, you can't excuse Maori criminals and blame their actions on colonisation.

  • Interesting that you keep coming back to this page. If you hate us so much why bother?

  • Kia Kaha, Kia Toa, Kia Manawanui!

  • torqueingheads Who Tha Hell Do Yu Think You Ahh Bey Yur Jus Ahh Peice Of Shit St8 Up

  • Who do you speak on behalf of, (when u say "WE" ) fuk off back 2 England then!

  • Here, here!

  • exactly.! who are you talking about when you say "we"? maori is considerd as the first language of aotearoa (new zealand).

if maori where bludgers we wouldnt have a seat in parliament. and i agree with the person who also replyd to you "fuck back off to your own country!

  • By 'we' I'm referring to the people responsible for building this country's economy and infrastructure. You have seats in parliment courtesy of unelected, undemocratic ones that fly in the face of the egailitarian principles NZ was founded on. You're not indigenous and you're quite welcome to piss off home to Taiwan via the Cook Islands.

  • and?....shouldn't you do the same by shipping yourself back to Britain. Maoris claimed nz first well before your ancestors did.

  • If we were to return all people to their place of origin the planet would be unpopulated except for Africa. That Maoris arrived on an earlier boat means squat to us. Discovering a land is only the start, you must then defend it from allcomers. That's just the way it's always been.

  • So bullying is the way to go then Torque???

  • You tell me. Inter-tribal warfare is probably the most extreme form of bullying and something precolonial Maoris were very adept at and used to obtain land.

  • Nah, YOU tell ME... you seem to know EVERYTHING about Maori

  • Maori ARE indigenous to Aotearoa Torgue, I have told you this before! STOP reading Pakeha books, they don't know shit!

  • GON AWAY BALL HEAD!!!

  • We want NOTHING from you... you know why? You don't HAVE anything! You and your people THINK you have our land etc, but you don't! Laws mean SHIT mate... our tipuna STILL rule these lands. MAKE NO MISTAKE!!!

  • Well it's like this Tehamua, NZ is overwelmingly an Anglo Saxon country, we have sovereignty, we own all the land and we own you. Sorry but that's the way it is. If our laws dont mean shit to you, break one, I dare you. You'll be in the white man's prison in the blink of an eye. Plenty of your mates have tried and look where they are.

  • Just because your laws don't mean shit to me, does not mean I'm going to break them, Dopey... I know the bully is bigger then me (by share numbers only) so I therefore, whilst not giving a shit about, still keep within the boundaries of your laws... the ones that I can be seen doing anyway.

So far I'm not in jail for ANY of the silly little laws your people brought with you I break unseen...

I'm either too clever, or you are WRONG again!!!

Now leave us decent people to enjoy Awanui's song!

  • So our laws do mean a shit to you and are keeping you in line. That's good keep it up.

  • No, no, not at all. If you knew how to read you would have seen that. It's extremely hard to argue with THICK people who can't read... it's frustrating.

Maybe we should meet face to face... at least you won't have to read!

Or are you still a liar?

  • It's hard for you because you're not articulate enough to convey you thoughts. That coupled with a limited vocabulary and low IQ is why you feel the need to resort to veiled threats. But it's ok, Ive heard it all before and you're no different to the average utu.

  • Threat? I don't remember threatening you... when did that happen? I offered to teach you to read... for my own good, because arguing with the illiterate is hard work!

My vocabulary is neither limited, nor my IQ low... I speak two languages, how many do you speak??? (I won't ask about your reading, I already know the answer to that!)

You are still scared and STILL lying...

  • @torqueingheads Mate you dont know shit... and you own shit.... seems like you have to much white pride to throw around... and put the maori people down and make them feel low... show some respect for the traditional land owner of NZ with out there knowledge and culture you white people wouldn't of survived the land of NZ...

  • @PerthboiPete Maoris are not indigenous and slaughtered the original inhabitants of these islands. They have no respect among most NZrs and are loathed for their propensity to commit crime and bash kids. For instance 18 of the last 20 child murders were commited by Maoris, 15% of the population and 51% of prison inmates. 1 in 4 are state dependant. They have the highest rate of abuse related child head trauma in the world. Make no mistake, these people are inherently bad.

  • @MoralInvasion You again.King's theory of Moriori 'slaughtered' by another tribe, even though they were Maori (another white man theory to justify their injustices against Maori); wasn't end result of tribal warfare but the result of European inter-racial mixing & EUROPEAN DISEASES.Moriori ancestors included people of the tribes of Hawaiki.MAORI ARE FROM HAWAIKI

The separation of this tribe was called the Victorian Scientific Racialism which categorised people according to color and culture.

  • In time the "WAIRUA" will rise

  • @uso4life21 Sole, remember what the NZ British Police did to our head of state in Samoa - Tama-sese? he had no weapon, just love and peace, and they gunned him down..then they detoured a ship full of infuenza into Samoa, killing thousands..we will never forget their crimes against our people...my uncle told why didn't they just give the Gospel and sail back to England? I hope those muslims do something stronger than the 911 attacks.....karma is calling what goes around comes around
