  • The problem is getting the Mac that will render in somewhat decent times. Problem is just not enough power without blowing another $2,000 on hardware that will be replaceable in a year. Software, however, lasts longer and are updated for free.

  • How do you get that RED raw fine tuning control, or whatever you called it? I only have the Basic and advanced tabs

  • and in the end, Autodesk Smoke is better than all if you want to spend 17000 dollars

  • Well, that's the end of that debate with the FCP X. Mac doesn't make pro software anymore

  • What's wrong with Windows Movie Maker?

  • @TheMrDisser

the simpsons movie used FCP, search wiki and google. 8 core mac pro with fcs!

  • FCP STUDIO! blows, premier pro and avid out the water, premier pro and avid are both two expensive especially avid, i don't care if movies studios use avid, i'm an independent filmmaker not a billionaire.

  • @TheMrDisser such nosense, like Apple would pay the editors of 300, no country for old man and x-men, for example, just to use their tools. Studios with that kind of budgets choose the tool they want, and they want FCP and Avid. If you want to claim that they are "paid for it", prove it by linking a statement from one of these studios.

  • @mrgsudo FCP is quickly becoming a joke. Hell, any editor worth their weight in jump cuts knows that AVID is still the best tool for the job. It remains virtually unmatched, especially with the ease of netowrking within render farms. FCP and PREMIER PRO are more on the same level, but even there FCP falls behind. It has not ability to utilize the power of a decnet graphics card (unlike P.Pro, which DOES) and effectively is nothing more than a slow version of CS5.

  • continued:

Most large movies today are done on AVID farms. Hell, my editing class just spoke with a former WCW producer (who currently produces for some BET talk show) and even he said that FCP was NOT built for real movie making. It simply lacks the proper hardware and connectable setup that AVID has, or the raw power that CS5 is capable of tapping. I promise you, any big movie made in the past 5-10 years was done on an AVID machine.

  • Theres nothing Color does that AE cant do.

  • @TheMrDisser I don't know who you are, or where you work, but you are full of shit.

  • is not the program …..a great editor can kill it with any program same as a good golfer can kill it with any clubs. Stop arguing over nothing. Go hone your chops instead!!!

  • @TheMrDisser

I've heard otherwise, several industry pros told me Premiere is trying to push its product to gain market share but its not accepted for whatever reason.

  • @TheMrDisser You basically quoted me.

  • @TheMrDisser You should at least read wikipedia or something. I work there, you stupid! Avid is dead. Especially all TV production is on FinalCut. But there is no big difference between the two though. X-men, brun after reading, no country for old men, 300, are all edited on final cut.

The final answer is that all programs needed are used. If editor wants avid and final cut and... he gets it. They might use vue for backgrounds like on the last terminator, zbrush for models, maya animation

  • I was trained in FCP, and it is a good software, but remember that it already had it's following before being acquired by Apple, and therefore not entirely a result of Apple programming. Premiere is a very viable alternative if you don't want to buy a mac just for FCP.

  • I've been using premiere pro for the past 3-4 years. I just learned that FCP is industry standard for television production though. I love the layout of premiere pro but I guess I'll have to switch over if I want to make a name for myself. Ironic that After Effects is mostly used alongside FCP lol.

  • Why was the ( RATINGS ) disabled?

  • I really want Final Cut but I also have all the adobe stuff

  • I would get Final Cut Pro but i have the whole CS4 collection with a pc.. to switch to a good mac would be around 2000 plus photoshop, aftereffects and a couple other cs4 programs would be around 5 grand.. I can get a new PC with aintel i7 3.4ghz quad core processor 1 TB HD 8 Gb Ram for 1000 and keep all my good programs.. moral of the story macs are overpriced , windows FTW

  • The only thing i'm missing in FCS is a 'send to after effects' command... that would be so great! I don't like premiere, but i love the workflow between Premiere and After Effects.

  • Lol, guys everyone should know that team that makes FC was the team the team that made Premiere, they splitted years ago, ones stayed at adobe and others went to apple.

  • final cut is better

i use premier though don't have mac,

  • Blah blah...

  • I got to state one thing. I'm so fucking tired of you pathetic little newbie kids coming out of school coming into MY industry thinking you're "real editors" by using these "lameass" editing tools!

Both Final Crap Pro & Premiere really can not face the POWER of AVID NITRIS! THERE"S NOT FUCKING HOW!

But on the other side, you HAVE TO LEARN Final Cut. There's no way around this system, it's gotten way to trendy! It's like the old raggydy ass whoe that won't go away! You gotta give her dick!

  • Does FCS have a program like Flash CS5

  • It depends what you have a better workflow with...

  • I am a Premiere user but the only thing that compares to FCP is Avid

  • Going over to final cut since premiere doesn't want to work anymore (lag lag lag and lag)

  • if you are a video editor and make your living out of it, you would know that depending on the job that you are assigned you decide which one to use. You often need to use FCP along with Adobe Premiere or other adobe applications.

  • The soundtrack pro sound editor sucks, the sound isn't synced at all...

  • call me old fasion but i prefer to use after effects for color correction and color effects

  • "FINAL CUT PRO" no questions!

  • After using FCE APP and FCP, none of them made a better video. That was still left up to me.

  • "Ask anyone in the business and they will tell you Adobe's Media Encoder SUCKS. Its final output quality of H264 etc is HORRIBLE. Adobes encoding algorithms SUCKS so bad compared to Apple "

you're WRONG,who the hell "in the business" told you that?Adobe uses mainconcept to encode H.264 and it's superior to Apple H.264 ,seriously, apple's H.264 encoder is pretty darn bad.

  • so Final Cut Pro is the best?

  • I wish I had a Mac just for Final Cut...

  • @Tekkenfreek234 Trust me Adobe Premiere pro is better and i have an iMac

  • Colour doesnt work. period

  • Macs suck

    PC 4 Life

  • @gruntlover2 wrong.

  • I want Final Cut Studio soooo bad but I don't have $1000 and 42 gigs.

  • gosh these geek fucks. final cut rulez but shitters that have an attitude like u....shit fucks.

  • why not just use a good camera?

  • most of the hollywood films are avid and final cut edited. Thats what he meant probably.

What do you mean by using a good camera? Any footage must be color corrected, if you want it to look good.

    Premiere is good though

  • Premiere Pro and After Effects can edit the Red One native R3D codec. Soundbooth and Audition can do everything SoundTrack Pro 3 can do. Last but not least FCP ripped off the Adobe GUI.

I usuggest you folk click on my name and watch my videos.

Applesoldier is not going to post my video response.

  • Applesoldier,

I hope you let my video response get posted so everyone can see what an idiot you are.

Keep in mind you bring the ownage onto yourself.

  • Comment removed

  • Wheres Part 2.

  • fck all you torrent haters you can suck my !!!

  • A 14 year old kid, I highly doubt has the full use for FCS. Leave it to the professionals kid.

  • FCP ripped of Adobe Premiere's GUI with the new tabs feature. Actualy Cool Edit Pro had that ype of GUI first and Adobe implemented the GUI of Cool Edit Pro into all their products.

There was nothing impressive in this video due to the simple fact the Adobe Masater Collection can do all this and more.

I suggest you folks watch the video tutorials at Adobe TV.

  • Adobe master collection do more> LOL your a fucking NOOB! were si your pro level grading suite? And dont you dare say premiere and AE cause your a noob for sure. Creative suite is 1700 and fcs is 999. Why pay 1700 if it only does what fCS does. Flash? Illustrator? is there a send to command in premiere to send sequences to flash or illustrator? Your a complete LIAR. Creative suite cant do what fcs does it has no pro color grading. Dont say colorista or magic bullet, if you do i know your a noob

  • lol you think this is all the videos? since your on a pc you should be able to go capture those movie adn post like i did or is it just to hard using a pc? lol. whats your answer? 1700 vs 999. and all you can say is adobe suite does the same things? LOL YEA FOR DOUBLE THE PRICEL WITH NO PRO COLOR GRADING or export. Adobe encoding algorithms are made fun of around the edit industry. Adobe encoding algorithms are horrible, lol. nothing like compressor. dont worry, i have both and ill proove it.

  • you can say what you want adobe. FCS is a standard almost and it didnt get that way for nothing. Premiere is cross platform and it still cant compete with FCS. Why is that? Because people know good products married to good values. FCS is the best, you cant deny it no matter how much you like premiere.

  • Comment removed

  • @AppleSoldier fcs sucks compared to cs5 master collection. why does it suck? it is non-cross platform. try using final cut on a windows computer. now try master collection on windows and mac.

  • @0987654321284 whos talking about cs5 master collection -_-

  • @gospelplayer2 photoshop, onlocation, after effects, premire pro, and flash can all be used to edit videos.

  • @0987654321284

Are you crazy? Flash for video editing?

  • @bishopdante not for actual editing but for intros and titles and graphics in the video. when i said flash i meant using flash to make graphics to put into your videos. i did not mean for importing your video and changing it and exporting it.

  • @gospelplayer2 Well because cs5 is the latest addition then its only natural to talk about cs5 now. FCP might of had it over PPro CS4 but now that CS5 is here, FCP is lacking now in comparison. FCP is PPros bitch now lol. I know some production house's that turning to PPro CS5 now, and as a user of both I prefer PPro now. It just seems so much easier!

  • @AppleSoldier

FCP wasn't made by apple in the beginning.

    Nor was Logic.

Both of these products were much more pro before apple "mass marketed" them. That's truth. Particularly when you look at Shake.

Also, all of these products used to be available for other platforms, apple's strategy is to shut off the supply of top-end Windows software to force professionals onto the mac.

Hey ho, I was there in the beginning, and I've used mac all along. Just sayin', it's not based on virtue.

  • @bishopdante Yep, Mac bought FCP as a "hobby..." See what happens...

  • @AppleSoldier Mommy, AVID IS THE BEST. Not Final Crap Pro or Premiere!

  • @AppleSoldier Except when you have to drop $1000 to get a Mac + the cost of FCS

  • @ThisOnesForReal I think you mean $2000

  • Applesoldier your an idiot and I'll prove it.

There was nothing impressive in this video at all. Get a clue.

  • you got owned dude

  • Just like the rest of the Mactards, you fail at spelling.

  • @AppleSoldier hi im new to like video editing. currently learning sony vegas.

what do u think is better. final cut or avid? im thinkin of gettin a new comp n stuff and i wanna know which software to go for :)

  • @adobePC Oh actually, I believe Adobe is ripping off Final Cut. And Adobe Masters collection costs 2000 dollars more. I have it, and it's good, but I rather use FC.

  • @Rifalltoo

Actually, the Master Collection (if you don't torrent it) can run as low as 1,000 with a student discount.

Still, I would like to know how you think Adobe is ripping off FCP? Are you purely talking about newer editing and GUI features, or are you referring to the amped up Dynamic Link (which I simply LOVE)?

  • @AndrewDeLong I was just thinking that Adobe seems to be looking and acting a lot like the Final Cut suite. Such as, now you can almost take any adobe format to any adobe program (integration) and they are starting to organize themselves like Final Cut. However, I'll still say they both have unique qualities.

  • @Rifalltoo

Well Integration, though I personally wouldn't call it ripping off exactly, is a natural step forward. If FCP did it first, so be it. But as you said, each has its own qualities. Hell, I'm still trying to figure out that script thing adobe has (the one where the lines of a written script can somehow be integrated with the acting...or something like that). That and the After Effects stuff (thanks be to Andrew Kramer). Honestly, I couldn't imagine using anything BUT Adobe.

  • @AndrewDeLong True. Integration is always a step. However, FCS has more direct integration while Adobe really just has self compatibility. So yeah, I'm not mad about that, but I would be mad if they decided to try to copy exactly how FCS did it. Nice talkin with ya.

  • @adobePC

Oh yeah, and adobe are the worst when it comes to creeping featuritis and ignoring the needs of professionals over those of casual users. Just look at all the new features in Photoshop. I know some features that I'd like as a pro, but that's not where Adobe are going

  • what was the point of this Eric....any1 who knows shit about video editing knows that Final Cut Studio is the best and only option to go with....

and if you disagree, then you haters need a software reality check....just face that facts, SOME THINGS ON A MAC ARE AND ALWAYS WILL BE BETTER THEN WIN-BLOWS

  • Reality check, Avid is the best option.

  • hahahahahahah....

    hold on wait..

    hahahahahahhahahahaha....

ok im finished....no wait im not....

hahahahahahhahaha....GTFO manjyoumethunder...i think you need a reality check

  • Final Cut Pro is used by amateurs, Avid is used by the big guys. Deny it all you want, you know it to be true.

  • well indie filmaker also use fcp , and some tv shows also use it

  • I would personally exclude Indie Filmmakers from "the big guys", but that's just me.

  • lol, of course you would. Indie films makers are making the hollywood movies dude. What they use will carry over. AVID is going away. all students and indies use fcp and that means they will be moving into the hollywood scene. Avid is history in 10 years. sorry.

  • indy film makers today means hollywood film makers of tomorrow. Same as students. And if indies and students use FCS than they will carry that with them into there professional life. They stick to what they know and with AVID being 2200 and premiere being 800 students have no choice but to buy FCS for 999, it offers to much for that price.

  • lolol, walter munich an amateur? Is the BBC amateurs? Is FOX amateurs? Your a fucking idiot. Premiere is used by amateurs.

  • If I gave you a list of hollywood movies FCS was used on it wouldnt fit on the page. AVID is bigger in hollywood but that is changing fast. When your talking about AVID being bigger you also realize these "editing suite" from avid can run $100,000. lol, in 15 years when all modern students graduate and some indy film makers make the big time in Hollywood, they will all be using FCP. It offers everything everyone else offers at a fraction of the price.

  • I'm not saying Final Cut Studio is bad, but Avid is simply used more in major films at this time. I'm not bashing on FCS, it's simply a fact for now. It may very well change in the future, yes.

  • @y35n00b5

If it was, you'd think they'd have half the market share Microsoft has.

Get a life and stop trolling.

  • the only troll here is you....

  • lol the guy was doing this on an imac. right lol.

  • it's not like imacs don't have adequate processing power to do this

  • The new Imac (2.8 Quad Core) is better than the basic quad core Mac Pro , the imac is now a suitable alternative for professionals .

  • Yeah mate I'm not an idiot but the iMac he was using was NOT the Core i7 and I wasn't asking a question. I was making a statement. Also, the i7's don't ship until Nov. So Why even reply to my comment? Idiot.

  • Is this available for PC?

  • FCS is not available on windows. .

  • .... And better software is.

  • I must admit, FCS is pretty much the only reason I own a Mac.

  • This suite is intended for professional use, such as use with commercials, tv shows, movies, etc. Unless you plan to make the next hit movie, I don't think this suite is for you... yet.

  • imma big time editor, premiere blows balls. i used it for 2 years, and when i finally made the switch to fcs, i almost cried i was so happy.

  • dont forget that theirs companies going around charging ppl for the company youre stealing from. im for torrents too but i use them for movies that or copy right free like fall of the republic and watching things on vuze hd.

im not condemning what youre doing but just saying to be careful. ok, hope you enjoy your free software lol.

  • Torrenting is THEFT. :|

  • Burning music to a cd and giving it to your friend is theft too. Sharing software should be a right but big companies just want to squeeze every penny out of it's customers.

  • Sharing software should not be a right, it's a product like any other, and if someone else wants to use it, they should buy their own copy.

Sharing music is just as bad.

  • why you want to control society??freedom!! I can share what ever i want even my woman!!

  • You can share what belongs to you. You do not own software or music, you own the license to listen to or use it. If you don't like it, be a more careful shopper, use free and open source software, and listen to music released under Creative Commons. Not my fault you can't read.

  • you are a pussy

  • You are a thief. I am a future software developer. Piss off.

  • first you are a ignorant torrent is not a crime 21 ignorant kid

  • You know damn well what I meant, don't play semantics.

Torrenting itself isn't illegal, but using torrents to share copyrighted material certainly is. And if I recall, that's what I was previously discussing.

  • Quit whining. DRM ruins everything.

  • DRM only exists because people are thieves to begin with. If you don't like it, listen to music released under Creative Commons and use freeware and open source software. Stealing's a crime no matter who it's from.

  • DRM ruins everything. People still know how to crack it hours after new DRM software is introduced. It's pointless.

  • It's pointless, but do you honestly think a company or individual isn't going to try to protect their intellectual property?

  • I know. It gets annoying when I can't copy or backup a game because of DRM.

  • How can you afford a computer? Internet access? Anything else?

Also, if you can't afford anything, find a free option.

  • Adobe = Standard

    Adobe = Better

  • So spend $100 and get an introductory version of Vegas or Premiere Elements?

  • fuck you people work work hard on this shit so but it fucker

  • interesting

  • 6:32 is that gay shaving his legs?!? 0.o

what are they trying to say with that?

  • final cut studio is the best

  • thats pretty sweet, kinda like photo editing

  • for photo editing id go PS all the way. Im just talking video editing.

  • We use AE, Premiere, and FC. However, because AE has excellent integration with Cinema 4D, we use AE for all of our comp work. Sometimes we dont even need FC or Pr to edit. We just encode right out of AE.

AE has a huge, vast array of 3rd party plugins, which gives it a big advantage. Some trapcode, redgiant, and revisionfx plugins, and ive got a great arsenal that does the same thing as the FC suite.

  • no way you have plug in that do what Color does. Magic bullet etc. is not COLOR. trust me. Neither is any other plug in. And FCP has A HUGE 3rd party plug in base. And motion uses the same plugin architecture as AE. FXplug. FCP has MORE plugins than premiere. to say not is NOOBISH. your talking non sense. Red Giant etc has mac too. If you didnt use CInema4d than premiere is useless. If you export final quality from AE, your no pro. AE encoding algorithms are a joke.

  • Nowhere did I say that Premiere has more plugins than FCP. Way to go on putting words in my mouth.

Again, your changing the subject. I said nothing about integration between C4D and Premiere. I said AE has excellent integration with C4D, and the occasional Maya files we deal with.

Again, I never said we export "final quality". I said sometimes we encode right out of AE for the client.. as in previz and pitches.

How about you learn something before criticizing others who work in the industry.

  • -continued

And all of our color correction, time remapping, layering, 2D tracking, particles, etc is done in AE.

No need to do it in an editor, when AE does it just fine with the collection of plugins we have.

  • So true.

  • Give an example.

  • They just got this in one of the studios in college. The suite is even on iMacs in the library so students can work on their stuff in their free time. A few computers also have shake. The college itself used to be AVID only in the media department, however when the new FCS came out they switched. Some computers have after effects too. I think they have all the bases covered.

  • would you suggest final cut pro to an amateur?

  • You could try it, but you might want to go for Final Cut Express instead, it can do a lot of the things you'll probably want to do, but it wont have Color, Sountrack etc. But Final Cut Express is only $199

  • go with final cut express. it is a lot cheaper and is pretty much just the editor without the additional apps

  • Yeah, it's great for those who want to have professional looking videos without the price tag. I use FCS mainly because of Motion, and The few differences between FCE and FCP can come in useful (particularly three-way color correction and exporting with compressor).

  • I think you should compare AVID and FCPconsidering those are really the two main editing suites used for tv/radio/film. I know you've sent me a msg about market share but you have to remember that just because Apple users are buying FCP doesn't mean all professionals are. I'll give you FCP becoming more popular than any other editing suite but AVID is like PC (I hate PC love Macs) it has been the main app out there so it will take a while to weed them out if that's even possible

  • AVID is struggling now. Only older guys who grew up with it use it, when they retire all new comers will be want FCP. AVID is history in another 10 years. AVID has absolutely no market share hardly. And as far as hollywood goes thats changing to. you cant compare avid when you get nothing more than FCS but pay twice as much. Its a joke. FCS market share is over 50% so YES it does mean pc users are buying it switching from pc. over 50% of ALL PROFESSIONALS,Mac and pc, have switched to FCS.

  • I agree that AVID is going to be nothing but a thought in 10 years but that's still 10 years. Personally I don't like AVID but that's what we was available at the time. I haven't had the chance to really sit down with FCP but the principles are the same the interface is what is different. I think FCP is great in the sense that it helps people who don't know much about editing get comfortable with it and expanding their knowledge. I'm not knocking FCP. More bang for the buck w/o a doubt

  • i mean no offense. AVID is a great editor. Some argue the best.

  • I wouldn't argue the best unless you're willing to shell out that cash for all the extra suites and modules. One thing I've learned is that the editor is still 90% of the battle

  • Premiere is not the only one pirated, you can have pirated Mac OS X, and FCS, so it's not exclusive to PC only. If you wanna go that way and use pirated software you have plenty of options. Think before you write f*****g dumbass GaySoldier

  • you cant pirate FCS. IF you do it will be a hacked up version cause the Suite is over 60GB!! youll never downlaod all that and good luck finding a full 60gb download via torrent. if you download fcs you wont get ANY of the content or presets etc. i almost guarantee it.

  • Comment removed

  • "This has been a function of a hugely expanding professional editing marketplace rather than a large reduction in installed Avid users."

Avid isn't losing users, Final Cut is just gaining them. Nobody's switching, just new people are buying something different.

Mostly amateur groups, who should buy Final Cut Pro. It's cheaper, and it gets the job done. Avid is expensive.

Why buy something more expensive to do the same thing? Or is that the same reason to buy a Mac over a PC?

  • CARE

  • Don't know what you're talking about, FCP and Premiere have such a similar workflows, compared to Avid for example (which is totally different). Adobe integration is veery tight, and with the Adobe Production Premium suite you get Premiere, Photoshop, Encore, After Effects, Soundbooth... Not to mention either you use FCP or Premiere you need Photoshop so you need Adobe anyway. Personally I have used Premiere, FCP and now I'm editing on Avid so I know how to use all of the programs.

  • PRODUCTION PREMIUM IS 1700 DOLLARS!!!!LOL. And Flash dont integrate with premiere nor does illustrator.Your talking out your ass. There is no "send to" flash command from premiere I edit video AND I NEVER USE PS at work. PS is for photos, SHAKE/NUKE is for video. PS can work with video now but it aint very good yet

  • A Mac Pro with a single quad-core processor is 2500 DOLLARS!!! LOL.

  • an imac with a quad and 27" display is just 1999!!! LOL

You obviously dont have a clue what a mac pro is

  • LOL, you used all three huh? AVID is 2200 bucks and premiere stand alone is 900 while FCS is 999. Yea, I believe you have edited on all them to the point you can tell me about them. Tell me how to render in AVID. Tell me how to render in COLOR. Keyboard shortcuts and all. If you used them you should know. I believe I need a hole in the head like i believe you know enough about all 3 to say anything. Your a premiere fanboy cause YOU PIRATE IT, fucking thief..

  • Hm, is that a way you talk to your subscribers? I saw you're not the smartest one, but you exceed my expectations this time. Yeah I have used all three, Premiere in high school, FCP and Avid at work. Also I'm apple user right now (I have used windows in the past, and I know how to use both). For any serious motion fx work PS is a must. FCP keyboard shortcuts suck (I love apple too, but they suck big time). Rendering in Avid is piece of cake, but apparently too much for your tiny brain.

  • Most people on YouTube are going to have pirated CS4, the only actual sales Adobe makes is from actual companies, not these individuals on YouTube.

Pointing it out doesn't really mean much. They know they're a pirate, I know they're a pirate, you know they're a pirate. You're just pointing out the obvious.

  • lol, yes your right about this.

  • Final Cut Studio is an industry standard professional tool. Enough Said!

  • FYI FCP and Premiere are both industry standard professional video editing suites. Along with suites from Grass Valley and Avid,

  • Premiere, Industry standard, LOL. FCP has over 50% of the market. LOL. Thats like saying Photoshop and Pixelmator are industry standards, lol. PS maybe but not Pixelmator. accept it, for 999 THERE IS NO CHOICE!!

  • Well, if having 50% of the market makes FCP industry standard, I suppose having 90% of the market makes Windows industry standard too. Why should anyone switch?

  • windows got the market by using a monopoly. INSTALLING WINDOWS ON ALL NEW PC's. Thats the equal of Apple giving away FCS for PC and mac on all new pc's and then claiming they are the best because of market share. FCS got its market share BY HAVING A GOOD PRODUCT. Premiere and AVID was already here before FCS. FCS came in late and stole customers the fair way. by making a good product, not being licensing whores like MS.

  • Uhh, Microsoft didn't "give away" Windows on all new PCs. It licensed it, because there was no, like, actual competition as far as operating systems/environments went?

Apple restricted theirs to their own computer. Microsoft didn't. They beat everyone else to the punch on that, and they got the most market share because of it.

    Don't blame Apple's shortcomings on Microsoft's successes.

And FCS doesn't take users from Avid, it just gets new users who haven't used either, for the most part.

  • FCS has no market share. The only people who use FCS are Disney and Universal.

If Apple was making such good software that was worth the money, you'd think they'd have more market share at this point. Microsoft made good, inexpensive, and easy-to-use software and that's why Macs have less than 9% of the home computer market.

  • Most home computers use windows because its cheap, and that is y most home computers r PCs.

most ppl that want a good computer that costs 1200 dollars or more buy a mac.

  • Or maybe it's a good OS and people buy it and Macs are overpriced aluminum turds.

  • fact: Apple's share of expensive computers (over 1000$) is 90%. most big companies in the US use apple computers.

  • Wrong. They're 5th behind HP, Sony, Toshiba, and Alienware.

  • You have no source. As far as I know, you got those facts from the voices in your head.

  • "most big companies in the US use apple computers"

So most workstations and servers used by the enterprise are from Apple??? Not a chance.

  • Apple's dominance on the premium computer market may not be a gain. With more and more Windows users migrating to netbooks, Apple's is getting a larger piece of a market that isn't gonna grow.
