  • where the heck do u buy those things?!

  • @watever553 craigslist is a good place to start

  • also does your torque converter get warm/hot after driving? like warm to the touch on the cover. because to comet torque converter seems to have a similar smell to my centrifugal clutch (which smoked really easily)

  • Comment removed

  • hey i have the same model go kart just different kind of engine, do you think i could go to like a lawn mower repair center to fix this thing or what else should i do?

  • @adrianmoalem whats wrong with ur Kart ?

  • @adrianmoalem go to a place called harborfreight they have nice clone engines. you can get the 6.5 hp 212 cc for like 100 bucks (find the coupon). I have it. works pretty well

  • @f00bert24 thanks man , i want a bigger engine !

  • Hey do you know any problems with knock off or replacement comet tav2 converters? Im seeing OEM going for $200 on ebay. But as well as $170 ones. The only difference is the cover and the stickers. $30 is a big gap to me. What do you think?

  • @f00bert24 i never had any other torque a verter . sorry man u would have to find if u can see any feedback on that specific model of torque converter .

  • hey so i understand that these manco dingo go karts have live axles, I just replaced my bearings, axle, and hubs with new ones. But understanding how a live axle works. If I have 18 inch wheel knobbys I have trouble turning because the axle and wheels just bind/lock up. Does that happen with all dingos? because won't it destroy my hubs/tires?

  • Yea the manco dingo came stock with a straight axle in the back . there are no differentials so you are going to have trouble turning. Dont worry its perfectly fine for that model go kart to do that !

  • @jmnic63 thanks so much

  • @jmnic63 I just finished building my dingo go kart. But forsome reason my centrifigural clutch still has trouble giving enough torque to make the wheels go when doing somewhat of a tight turn. Like I see your go kart turn fine on pavement. but for some reason mine just locks up with the axle. go new bearings and a new axle. I really cannot think of a reason why it locks up so easily

  • @jmnic63 also what brakes do you have on your go kart? and ive seen like 2 seater full suspension eletric start go karts selling on ebay for like only 800 bucks. and not in bad shape (pictures). and so far ive put like 650 into mine and I feel like a total dumbass

  • i spent at least 700 on mine over the years haha. it has one disc brake in the back.

  • @jmnic63 hahaha well i mean that makes sense for you because of the torq-a-verter. Thats a good 180 right there. But I didn't want to get one of those before. But because of the centrifugal clutch not being able to take the torque when turning. You said that since you have those tires (I have 18x 9.50-8 tires knobby tires) you got the torq-a-verter because that has the torque instead of the small centrifugal clutch...right?

  • @f00bert24 Yea the torque a verter helps alot ! imagine a mountain bike if u would, it feels like its in 1st gear then after the rpms go up the the main pulley flanges inward pushing the belf outward for a different gear ratio. U will see a great speed increase as well as perfomance forsure !

  • ARE YOU LOOKING TO SELL IT

  • were can i get the engine from ???? (what do i need to type in on ebay)

  • @jmnic63 no like I don't no how to drift at all, do u use brakes? Idk

  • Hey I'm getting one of these soon. How do you do those drifts?

  • @gamrboy100 mine is five and a half horsepower it can do it just fine in dirt , and it can do it on pavement as-well

  • @jmnic63 hay im getting one soon and it needs a new engine (friend recently got better kart has no use for it any more) and i was wondering if it had a reverse and what you used for wind sheild??? please reply

  • @insanegokartguys no it doesn't have reverse , go to home depot and buy plexy glass that will fit over the front and carefully drill holes so u can zip tie it onto the role cage

  • how fast does it go

  • dose belts ware out kwick

  • nice go kart is it 1 wheel drive?

  • where do i but that converter? and how hard is it to instll?

  • Go to "manco dingo parts breakdown" and order the part of that website , and its fairly easy to install .

  • Stupid question: how long did the clutch last? I've been trying to rebuild one of these things on a budget and have a bad feeling I need more cash to get a torque converter... lol

  • @GeneralCuster14 Well your question isn't stupid , the standard clutch lasted as long a u kept it oiled , but it was getting worn out very quickly considering how big the tires were . I would strongly recommend the tAV2 Torque a verter. your launch performance and up hill performance will increase dramatically ! And your top speed will increase a lot to ! they are about 200 dollars but see if you an get a used one on ebay or somethin if your trying to save $. Good luck

  • @jmnic63 Ah, I get it. I've modified the clutch a little (testing my new idea for a minute. I'll keep it oiled, haha) without compromising anything on it. I've found some used Torque Converters on ebay for about 70-100 dollars, so I'll prob. look into one of those for later. Thanks for the advice!

  • @GeneralCuster14 no prob , good luck with everything and if u have any questions feel free to ask me man !

  • @jmnic63 Will do :D

  • hey if you are selling it tell me the price you are selling it for and how much would you charge for shipping it to the uk

  • Definitely cannot hit 55 XD

  • yea it can

  • wow thats pretty fast

  • yo that is sick. I just got one exactly the same but 8 hp(but i cant ride it till christmas) is this good i heard there is a little bit of problems with the brakes

  • I haven't had any problems yet , i have disc breaks in the back and they work good .

  • @jmnic63 really no problems with brakes i got one like 12hp fastest i got. and worst brakes in the world i got a project going a old ken bar im gonna put shocks on it and a 18hp opfully put a vid up of

  • @SMAYIN the brakes suck

  • thanks !

  • how tall are you dude

  • 8hp briggs and stratton rigt here, suck my balls

  • take that 8hp and shove it up your ass ! u would probably like it cause you want a guy suckin your balls FAGGGGG !!!! DONT WASTE MY TIME WITH YOU SHITTY COMMENTS !

  • @WRINGAVIDMASTER hehe i got a 12hp and getting 18hp SUCK MY BALLS

  • @crimson1667 honda gx 390? thats what i want on mine

  • @WRINGAVIDMASTER ummm im not sure its a old ass engine thats all i know two pistons though

  • NICE!!!!

  • how much it runs

  • no way that thing goes 55, i have manco like that except no roll cage with a 6.5hp and a 30 series with some motor work and it hits about 31mph with a little bit of a downhill

  • @hondarideralex it goes 52.3 mph exactly i have a speedometer and i had my friend drive next to me ! your engine must suck ass .

  • @jmnic63 to be honest, the clutch is old and it actually sticks so it won't let it rev out extremely well. I think i am limited by gearing too because i have watched the 30 series fully shift too. I don't know what you weigh, but i also weigh like 23o pounds so that my do something.

  • @jmnic63 to be honest, the clutch is old and it actually sticks so it won't let it rev out extremely well. I think i am limited by gearing too because i have watched the 30 series fully shift too. I don't know what you weigh, but i also weigh like 230 pounds so that might have something to do with it too.

  • @jmnic63 well it doesn't suck ass but i think the clutch is worn out. hahaha the clutch doesn't seem to let it really rev out like it should. for one, i am over powering the clutch, two, i think my gearing is lower than yours too limiting my top speed. I also have some duro dirt tires that are really tacky. I am about to mod the exhaust which should help with the big main jet i through in the carb.

  • @hondarideralex yea that's probably what it is , i took of the stock exhaust and put a bigger exhaust pipe on it . u should see it in my my gokart vid were im doing a dounut . the engines horse power definitely went up haha it used to go 46 mph and since i bought a new belt, and i weigh 160pounds its geared for speed . i checked out you vid of your kart and it looks pretty sick man , u gotta post a vid of that some time

  • @jmnic63 I just gutted the stock muffler and it runs a lot better. pulls way harder. Until i make a longer header with a briggs muffler this will do.

  • @jmnic63 I rejetted the carb a while back and holy crap what a difference. starts better too. modded the governor, have about 4200 rpm no load right now. I am going to disconnect to governor in the near future. i have maxed out my gearing. the CVT is shifting completely when i get it up to 33 mph. it can now do donuts on wet pavement. I am going to machine the head down a bit and get the compression up around 10:1 instead on 8:1 that it is now. should haul ass.

  • that 10:1 is going to make a hell of a difference ! what type of piston kit are you going to go with ?

  • @jmnic63 I am just going to machine the head. If you take off .065" off the head it will take the compression from 8:1 to 9.7:1. 0.080" will bring the compression to 10.5:1. I am thinkin' of starting with .065" and seeing what gets me. lol

  • hey what kind of clutches r on them normally cuz i got the same one nd i need a new clutch what kind did u get for urs?

  • @rocker38210 you could get a max-torque centrifugal clutch that is a 3/4 inch keyed shaft, or a comet torque a verter . the max-torque clutch is around 40-50 $ and a torque converter is around 200$ but its definitely worth the money

  • i am thinking about getting a dingo for my b-day. any thing i should know about them?

  • keep clean oil in the engine and clean the air filter , put oil on the chain every now and again use wd40 for that , use clean gas and check tire pressure and you should be set , my kart will do 46.3 mph with a standard comet torque a verter and a 5.5 hp engine.

  • @jmnic63 thanks for the tips

  • hey whats the specs on ur torque a verter

  • @rcfreak2493 its a 30 series comet torque a verter 3/4 keyed shaft

  • ill buy it for 50 dollars

  • Get The Thirteen Horse Clone!

  • i might do that

  • Love howit changed colors at the end lmao

  • thanks lol

  • i put that tav on my mini bike with a 6hp tecumseh and the top speed decreased [a lot] so i took the spring in the clutch and set it to 2, there are three holes mine was in hole 1 i will see what will happen with speed tomorrow

  • i have a 8 hp one i wonder if mine has to

have the roll cage for the front not sure

  • Way better than the nobby tires, Its snowing by me and they work great!

  • @jmnic63 dude i got a manco dingo, just bought it, and its got a 13hp four stroke on it, but it still only goes like 50mph. im pretty sure it can go faster, you think i need a torque converter?

  • @KillaSupra yea man definitely install one they really help your karts performance

  • @jmnic63 i recently bought a manco dingo with a 13hp four stroke engine for $500 (best deal ever :D) I was hoping for it to go a little faster though, right now it only goes like 50mph, and im pretty sure a 13hp is better than that. think i need a torque converter?

  • @KillaSupra yea the tav 2 only works on engines between 3 - 8 horse power but you can get a torque a verter thats fits your 5/8 shaft you will probably go about 60 + if you buy one .

  • @jmnic63 so would you suggest? im only 13 and $200 isnt peanuts for me :p

  • 400

  • 300 for it

  • My ass is worth 300 .

  • hey where can i get a roll cage for mine?

  • what kind of clutch is that? and does it make it faster?

  • Its a tav2 torque a verter 30 series.

  • would you say it would be worth spending the 200 and get one, why is it better then the stock clutch?

  • hey nice dingo..can you please tell me where i can get those tires for my dingo?? thanks

  • well search for 18x9.50-8 tires on ebay they are 2 ply turf savers they are expensive . Another place you can look is a wesite you can find by going to google and typing in "manco dingo parts breakdown" you should find what you need! good luck!

  • you payed 104 for that engine I could get a real honda not clone for 75 lol

  • It must be a piece of sh@$ then .

  • no i saw it it was in really good condition and started first pull

  • Nice ! I would take a gx160 honda over a clone anytime.

  • i have a 6.5 in mine and shit weve had to redo basicly everything and man it works better than the two seater it also goes faster than them its sweat

  • Dingos are great, if find akward that yours came with a centrifugal clutch since these come factory equiped with the TAV2. check mine when you have a break, keep it up.

  • i got the same dingo gocart but with no rall cage..i got a 6.5hp engine for 99 bucks at horbor..too bad i got a clutch and not wat u got :[

  • yeah i called up the guy who sold it to me he said check the centrifical clutch to see if its cockeyed and we checked it and it was so we took the bolt off but then this lock nut or something that reall thin and we cant get it off doo you know how to but the cluth back in place w/out lossening it?

  • I would just get a new clutch

  • hey it me again. i just got a dingo today and it was working perfect but then i tried startiing it up again but the pull start gave me trouble and it was hard to pull. and i can push it forward but i cant pull it backwards. so i tried pushing it and starting it up and it didnt give me anyt trouble but it still didnt start up. if you know how to fix it or if you have any ideas can you let me know. if so thatd be great!

    thanks.

  • Does it have a clutch or a belt drive on the side ? Check for low oil in your engine. if it has a belt drive /torque a verter check to see if the belt broke and it could of tangled around the shaft so take of the side cover and look . commet back if those are not the problems .

  • thanks bro.

  • haha alright. i saw this 6.5 one that was the same type brand and do you think it would match the 5.5 with the torque a verter?

  • Yea It should as long as it has a 3/4 keyed shaft and four mounting holes on the side! good luck with your project .

  • i saw one on ebay that was the same as this i think but it was for $144???

  • I bought this engine a year ago they must have really changed the price lol but keep looking you will find a good priced one

  • 45-50 just adding on the torque a verter! thats sick i think i might get one when i save up some more money and where did you get your engine at??

  • Ebay for about 104$ just as good as a honda 5.5 saves you money

  • sweet! im going to go check out a dingo today and probably buy it and i was thinkin bout tryin to put on a the same engine you have and do you know how fast it would go w/out a torque a verter

  • Its hard to say, but i remember when i didnt have it the top speed was 25-30 mph all stock. Now it will easily go 45-50 mph, it is a great investment !

  • is it hard to put on??

  • Its pretty easy to install, takes about 1 hour to put in.

  • hey sick vid! what does a torque a verter do? thanks.

  • It acts as a transmission so you could go faster.
