@VolvoXC90Rocks I agree...the quality of Audi is superb and their performance is spectacular. I know many a people who have traded in their BMWs and Mercedes for an Audi but man I am so disappointed with the rear of this car. The outgoing A8 rear is nicer to me.

Audi has far surpasses bmw terms of quality and technology imo and if bmw continues to make fugly cars like the upcoming series 5 qq.

Mercedes is still top notch but audi is winning terms of money to value

2)Hood creases = cool

3)Engines = hot

4)Interior quality = destroy BMW and Mercedes.

5)TONS of new tech

6)New MMI system with touchpad combines the less imposing iDrive with the lexus mouse thing. Nice.

7)Tasteful chrome but not too much

8)Back seat looks much nicer than Mercedes and BMW.

Sum: exterior = meh, interior = ++, but too nice. Like they tried to hard, added too much tech and it now lacks personality and emotion. I'd take 7 or XJ.

I like this car, but there are just a couple design problems in my mind:

1) I hate the humongous LEDs. They are waaay to big, and the cleaner strip loops much better.

2) Side sheetmetal is really conservative. It would be nicer with some creases here and there.

3) Very unimpressive rear lights

4) The wood looks nice, but a little bit too much in my mind. There needs to be a "piano black" option instead of wood, like in the 7 series (or carbon fiber)

5) Steering wheel looks fat

the lights - even though theyre cool are so ugly, it looks like the car crashed into something and the lights still work

the back just looks like an A4

i really apreciate this new `open roads` of Audi, lets be honest and tel that maybe 7 serries is more agile, but look at that interior, it is so briliant....and the lights.

ok one learn how to spell, before you start critiquing. Second, I respect that you don't like Audi's, that's fine, but get your facts straight... The quality of an Audi (new one's at least), are the best in the business, and don't take my word for it, ask a lot of car experts, and they will tell you. their interior's are gorgeous. Second with fuel consumption, if their so bad at it, then how come the new A4 is faster, more powerful, bigger, and yet more fuel efficient than any sedan in its class

but it's a buzzy turbo 4 :-( With prestige package it approaches 50k US. That's a little pricy for under 250 horsepower.

with a prestige package, it cost 41,050. that's barely over 40k. and i get what your saying about the 4 cylinder part, but i would prefer a 4 cylinder engine thats faster than a comparable bmw, and not to mention it's more spacious, as well as faster, and more fuel efficient, but hey like i said everyone has their perseonal preference

Very very very disappointing exterior design. Looks like stretched A4, showing that Audi chose to follow Merc philosophy, but inverted - generated desire for flagship, alas with much less money for low medium model (S vs C class). Audi was once leader in Teutonic car design, but just recently they prove to be spin doctors of it all. Buyers are not THAT dumb, you guys. You can't recycle yourself forever. Hope you will show more guts with next A6. Interior is nothing short of amazing, though.

I love the idea of Audi. The aluminum frame, solar moonroof & quattro features made the A8 stand out. The S-Class looks more grand, but Audi is what Mercedes used to be - understated & rare. If Audi ever expect to even approach sales stats of a 7-Series or S-Class, it had better boost it's product placement and advertising.
