@PinkPearl691 not sure if you've taken photos of people wearing the NEW Perfection Lumiere with a harsh flash - not been out for years so that may be why. I've seen Lisa's video (a paid presentation for Chanel) and it highlights the positives. My main point is that if you are going to be photographed in harsh flash conditions (nights out for example) you may be v disappointed how the foundation reacts. It's a basic physical property of Silica.

I lovvvvved the comedy pics you threw in (umpa lumpa and panto lady), they made me seriously LOL! Oh and I also love black kohl, I'm Pakistani and wearing kohl is pretty big in our culture so I've always worn it, I feel naked without it! I find defining around the eyes and curling my lashes helps stop the shrinking effect, so my eyes look smoky but not small :)

Please read this! Looking at the flash issues of the HD powders, I've been 'testing' most of the new products I buy now. I've just put some new samples of the Chanel Perfection Lumiere released today. I took a picture close up with flash and Aaaaaargh! Serious powdery flash bounce back. Would be great if you tested it and gave your thoughts.

@shoeafficionado Years of taking photography, this didnt happen. Also, a common basic concept is pale people will show up pale, lighting/flash only brings out the essence and true tones. Some people like that look, anywho, Im prety sure lisaelridge did something on the CHANEL perfection lumiere.

The first time I used the HD powder by MUF I got that ghastly look like the ones you showed in the pictures (I used it as a powder all over my face) ... luckily for me, I take pictures of my makeup before going out. However, when you use it lightly after using your powder (loose/pressed) it gives a matte finish to your makeup..... especially for those of us with oily skin or T-zones. I'm absolutely loving it now .... that I can't do without it.

About the HD powder. Strange but my ELF HD Powder doesn't do that. I was at work having quite a good amount of that on my face and I took pictures with flash and a guy wanted to take a picture together and it didn't turned out white!

After seeing this video I decided to see if my makeup was a true match to my skin tone. I wear L'oreal true match liquid foundation in N8 cappuccino & Mac studio tech in NC50. Them mixed together the Mac first then liquid matched perfectly. Thank you for making the video= ]

m dark skinned & i used Revlon ColorStay Aqua foundation powder and i think it's an HD powder cuz it looked SO good in the sunlight and in room light but when i took a pic with flash it looked like i DUMPED sparkling light brown powder on my face >:-[

btw: its VEEERY hard for me to match my face to my chest cuz i was born with a very dark face and varying colors in different areas of my body...im REALLY going to have to search HARD to find a chest makeup to fix this :(

You probably won't have time to answer this but, about putting too much colour on your face... Do you think it's too much if I wear a black smokey eye with a wine red lipstick applicated lightly on my lips? I have pale skin.

@faghaghag i know you didnt ask my opinion but i think a brown smokey eye would be more appropriate. use minimal black on the eyes if you are going to use color on the lips. a be sure to either skip blush *but still bronze/contour. you dont want everything "pale except your eyes and lips* or use the lightest sweeup of blush.

@MizzSugarRae Thanks for the advice! You are probably right about the eyeshadow.. But I can not use bronzer, it looks very strange on my pale skin. I use a very, very light pink blush instead :)
