The markings say that God classically conditioned these words, "The seed of the woman will bruise the serpent" with an animal sacrifice. By faith the men of the past believed the oath was true. Abraham left Ur of the Chaldeans (Job 1:17) for animal sacrifice which he included a son with physically.
The righteous of today also by faith believe in the blood of Jesus written in their hearts as opposed to a physical sacrifice for all to see.
Its an amazing story, but I wish it wasnt so drenched in christianity. Christianity isnt the only religion that stresses forgiveness and it certainly isnt the first on earth to do so.
JordanPar, it's drenched in Christianity because that's what this story is all about. If you read the writings of Jim Elliott, one of the missionaries killed that day, you'll understand that Christianity was all these men were about, and that they lived what Christ taught, and believed when Christ said, "I am the way the truth and the life, no man comes unto the father except through me". That's the message these men were taking to this tribe, nothing else.
Its about Jesus Christ. Christ is the one who died to save man from himself and sin. Jesus Christ is the only one who can change the hearts of men. Who else gave this sacrifice? There is no one else who did or could make this sacrifice except for Jesus Christ. Cant you see? It wasnt a certain doctrine, that saved the #1 most homicidal people group in all mankinds history, it wasnt a certain religion, but the power of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the difference between all other beleifs.
Look at all the good things we have in this country and most of the time you will see it was founded by Christians. Hospital , collages, the red cross, the YMCA, YWCA, Children homes, the list goes on and on. Research it. I find it hard to understand why anyone could find fault with Christ. Except it says in the last days the spirit of antichrist will come. I believe we are there.
As the others have said... it is drenched in Christianity because it was the power of Christ that reached these people. Yes- their are other religions that teach forgiveness- but the truth of the matter is that they were not the ones to reach these people- it was God and God alone who reached these people
Perhaps my dear, but Jesus is the only way to God. Don't be mislead, and make no mistake, all roads don't lead to rome, so to speak. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. No man comes to the Father(God) but by Him (Jesus).
The man that Steve Saint is translating is the one who murdered his father... Such glorious forgiveness and love can only be wrought in and by Christ.
This made me thinjk of how God sets the boundaries of where people will live and I marvel at how he sent those five missinaries to that Tribe at just the right time so that would not be the end of the Auca Indians...His love! Our finite minds cannot comprehend fully and our hearts, well, he can only give us spoonfuls at a time or we would explode.
Hi! I'm from Argentina. I'm preparing a work for my teens group, about revange and forgiveness, with "The end of the spear". It's an awesome film! You can get it in spanish, the title is "El final del espiritu" o "La punta de la lanza".
Thank you, this video was wonderful, God bless you!!!
I cry just thinking how God reveals himself to the people. How the understanding of him grows up into the heart of such wide variety of souls... Although we don´t deserve seeing it from our sofa of comfort.
My father-in-law was from Northern Wisconsin, he had guns and guns and shot anything that moved and was cruel, really cruel to man and beast. His death was not a sad event - he did not love his wife or anyone.
BUT, my father was a good man who walked with Jesus and collected nothing in his life but love. When he died, he left behind all he had taught us about respecting God's good earth and creatures and loving his only begotten son, Jesus Christ.
Aleluia... AMAZING. AMAZING. AMAZING !!!!! ai esta um exemplo vivo para nós teens q queremos cumprir com a ousada tarefa de tradução biblica. Não podemos desistir There is a very good example to us teens which want to be bible traslators. we canT give up... Deus abençoe vcs galera. Tiago Teen
What white god? White people have never had a name for the Christian God. They have names for pagan deities, but not for the one true God.
Yahweh/Jehovah, Elohim, Adonai, and El Shaddai are all Hebrew names. Shang Ti and Hananim are Asian names. Wengongi and Viracocha are South American names. But they all describe the same God with the same characteristics, power, and love.
I saw Mincaye and Steve back in 99 or 2000 shortly after our beloved Pastor John Osteen went to be w/ our LORD, and our new (and beloved) Pastor Joel took over the helms @ Lakewood Church in Houston.Mincaye demonstrated a method of hunting his tribe used in the jungle.W/sheer lung force & precision he blew an arrow at a balloon target roughly 10-15ft overhead and it burst on impact. Then came Pastor's turn..it was a hilarious display that had the whole congregation in uproar. Anyone recall this?
yeah the whole story is amazing, but what is even more amazing is what God is doing now with the Waorani people and thru them with the whole world...Steve has just shared with my church in Lima,Peru this weekend, I just came back from a question answer round with him and he is a real amazing guy, he has a great heart and..he's really funny too...
Esta pelìcula es una gran bendiciòn para mi vida, les recomiendo ver la pelìcula que en español se llama "la punta de la lanza"(end of the spear)basada en un hecho real.
Not only do you get a picture of what happened then, but we get a picture of the chaos this nation is headed toward as we disonor God, His preachers, His Bible, and His Chosen People. Back to the Bible or back to the Jungle.
